Its official name is Blueways Beach (布鲁维斯海滩),
and the ship itself is referred to as the Blueways Stranded Freighter (搁浅货轮布鲁维斯号).

The striking red hull, stranded by a typhoon,
creates a stunning contrast against the blue sea, transforming it into a unique tourist attraction
and a well-known photo spot in Weihai.

Street Address | 威海市荣成市成山镇环海路2001号布鲁维斯海滩内(西侧) |
From Weihai's bustling downtown area (around Hanlefang), it takes about 50 minutes to 1 hour by car.
It's a bit too far to visit just for the Blueways Shipwreck alone.
⭐ Let me share a half-day itinerary with you. |

Time | Activity |
13:00 | Depart from Weihai downtown (approx. 50 min by car) |
14:00~14:30 | Explore Jinshiman Seaweed Village |
14:50~16:00 | Visit Blueways Shipwreck (and café) |
16:15~17:30 | Explore Naxianghai Beach |
17:30 | Return to Night Market for dinner (approx. 40 min by car) |
This itinerary lets you combine three fantastic spots, heading out after lunch and returning before dinner.
Getting around is easy with DiDi Taxi.
The Hanlefang to coastal area segment (approx. 50 min) costs around 70-80 CNY, and travel between attractions (10-20 min) is about 20-30 CNY.
The time spent at each attraction can vary for different people.
(Please use this as a reference when planning your trip.)
2. Review of the Blueways Shipwreck and a Café with a Prime View

After exploring Jinshiman Seaweed Village,
I arrived at the next attraction, the Blueways Shipwreck.
I arrived around 4:30 PM.
Locals and tourists had already gathered in large numbers.

This is absolutely the best time to visit:
about 1 to 2 hours before sunset.
The sky, sea colors, and the ship truly harmonize perfectly then.

As is common at Chinese attractions,
there were many photographers offering paid photo services.

It seems everyone is serious about their photos, as many people
were taking pictures with the help of these photographers.
This is one of the most popular attractions during a trip to Weihai.
Blueways Beach was bustling with people.

The actual shipwreck is far more striking than in photos.
When I first looked it up, I thought it might be small, but it's totally different in person!

I took some photos with the stranded Blueways ship, and if you visit,
you'll understand why it's a spot for 'life shots' (once-in-a-lifetime photos).

With the stranded shipwreck in front and giant windmills turning in the background,
it creates a truly unique and exotic landscape that you can only experience in Weihai.

Even when I visited, I actually saw teams
doing wedding photoshoots and graduation snaps.
The coastline itself is said to hold the pleasant meaning
of 'a corner where good fortune gathers'.

It's said people visit here to ward off bad luck and wish for good fortune
as they begin new chapters of their lives (like marriage or starting a career).
⭐ Let's dive into the shipwreck-view cafe experience! |

The best way to enjoy the sunset with the shipwreck
at Brewis Beach is to visit a shipwreck-view cafe.
I immediately headed to the Harbor Cafe.
The outdoor tables already had quite a few people.

Operating hours are from 08:00 to 20:00.
Facing the Brewis shipwreck,
you just need to walk for about 5 minutes to the left.
For the cafe's location, please check 📍[Gaode Map].

They sell not only drinks and desserts but also full meal options.
I paid 56 Chinese Yuan for two iced Americanos.

There's outdoor seating on the first floor, indoor seating on the first floor, and indoor seating on the second floor.
The best spots on the second floor were already taken.
I recommend trying to grab a seat on the second floor~

I came down and found a spot on the first floor.
With its panoramic windows, it felt like every spot was a prime viewing location anyway.
⭐ Let's soak in a little more of that magical sunset. |

After finishing my coffee, I headed out closer to sunset.
Many people had also gathered along the beach.
The sand, the wind, the sunlight on the beach,
and even the flocks of seagulls all blended together to create a truly wonderful atmosphere.
If you're looking for places to visit in Weihai,
I highly recommend checking this spot out at least once.
3. Who This Place Is Perfect For

For those seeking unique 'life shots' (Instagrammable photos):
The rusty red hull and the sea create
atmospheric photos no matter where you shoot.
For those who want to experience the sunset magic:
If you arrive 1-2 hours before sunset, you can witness the magical moment
when the colors of the sky, sea, and ship all blend together.
For those looking to combine it into a half-day itinerary:
It's perfect to visit consecutively after exploring Jinshiman Seaweed House
and then Brewis Beach.
