If you're planning a trip to Weihai, China, I wholeheartedly recommend

the Hanlefang Night Market hotspot: <KK Mala Xiang Guo>!

It's already famous as a fantastic Mala Xiang Guo restaurant in Weihai,

and since it's located right in front of the Hanlefang Night Market,

it's the perfect spot to grab a bite after exploring the market! 😉

I used to have some preconceived notions about Chinese restaurants,

but KK Mala Xiang Guo was genuinely clean and comfortable,

and best of all, the food was unbelievably delicious – truly top-notch! ㅠ.ㅠ

For this incredible Weihai Hanlefang Night Market eatery,

the name for KK Mala Xiang Guo on Gaode Map (Amap) is

KK麻辣香锅(韩乐坊店)!

KK Mala Xiang Guo is so renowned as a Mala Xiang Guo specialty spot that

not only tourists but also a huge number of locals

come here for their meals!

You'll also see tons of delivery drivers coming and going,

which means takeout and delivery orders are available too!

(You can order through DaZhong DianPing and Meituan)

The place is incredibly clean, the ingredients are perfectly prepped,

and the owner and staff are all wonderfully friendly! 💕

At KK Mala Xiang Guo, a top restaurant in Weihai, China,

just like with Korean Mala Tang, you get to choose your ingredients,

and the price is then determined by their weight!

The selection is incredible, ranging from various vegetables like bok choy, cabbage, and bean sprouts,

to different types of mushrooms, dumplings, fish balls, fish cakes, and various meats.

I loved the extensive variety!

I started by picking the ingredients I knew, but you can also

ask the owner for their local recommendations – it's a great idea! Haha.

The owner recommended several ingredients that are popular locally in China,

and everything they suggested was absolutely delicious! 😊

When I didn't spot Chinese wide noodles among the available ingredients, I asked,

and they informed me they have them separately in bags.

So if you'd like to add Chinese wide noodles, just let them know,

and they'll happily include them – no worries at all! Haha.

Also, at KK Mala Xiang Guo, you can customize your spice level:

If you're a mala fan, I recommend 中辣 (medium spice),

but if you're not great with heat, 微辣 (mild spice) is the way to go! 😆

KK Mala Xiang Guo: A Must-Try at Weihai's Hanlefang Night Market

My friend and I were a bit worried about the final cost, haha,

so we decided to fill our bowls modestly first.

For the amount we chose, the price came out to 43.12 yuan,

which is approximately ~$6! 👍

If you compare that to eating Mala Xiang Guo in Korea...

it's unbelievably affordable – an absolute bargain!

Disposable aprons are available near the counter, so feel free to grab one,

and there's a self-service bar on the side where you can get your rice!

Just let them know you'd like rice when you order,

and you can enjoy unlimited rice! 👏🏻

I finally dug in, and the moment I took my first bite,

Honestly, I was completely shocked.....(P)

Seriously, I wondered if I'd ever had such delicious Mala Xiang Guo in my life...

it was *that* good.

I chose the medium spice level, and it was just perfect.

It was seriously, incredibly delicious, I mean it...

Even my friend, who usually struggles with mala, was saying in the morning, despite feeling a bit rough,

"Let's go to kk Mala Xiang Guo again tomorrow!" 😂

The sauce was absolutely divine, and I was so curious how they made it.

Seriously, this is a Mala Xiang Guo spot for life!

Since they even give you rice, having it with your Mala Xiang Guo,

or dipping the rice in the sauce, is just the absolute best!

Plus, the rice is unlimited, so I seriously want to recommend it as a great value-for-money eatery in Weihai, China. ㅠㅠ

It's definitely budget-friendly, yet it's a super high-quality restaurant.

kk Mala Xiang Guo is a franchise,

so even if you're not in Weihai, if you travel to China,

make sure to stop by as a top Mala Xiang Guo spot! ❤️

After finishing one bowl, I seriously wanted to eat another,

so when I ordered a second one, the owner just broke out into a huge smile haha.

I took slightly less than the first time,

and it came out to 35.36 yuan! Super cheap! 👍

It was delicious again, of course, and my recommended ingredients for Mala Xiang Guo are:

beef brisket, vegetables, bean sprouts, mushrooms, rice cakes,

tripe, beef, fu zhu (dried tofu skin), and more. (^///^)

Chicken feet were much bigger than in Korea,

so I tried them, but chicken feet were... not quite my thing haha.

Organ meats were also a bit challenging for me, so keep that in mind when ordering.

You'll probably enjoy it even more! 😉

Even after returning to Korea, I couldn't forget this taste,
