2. My Huaxiacheng Visit Review ⭐

When you arrive at Huaxiacheng, this red building is the first thing you'll see.
This is the Huaxia Ecological Garden (华夏生态馆).
Honestly, before my visit, there wasn't much information available,
so I didn't even know where anything was.

I entered using the QR code purchased on Trip.com.
My ticket even included the slide attraction.

The Huaxia Ecological Garden felt like a museum,
showcasing historical artifacts and photos related to Huaxiacheng.

I later found out that in the very place I walked through,
you could actually experience attractions on the 1st and 2nd floors...
I left so quickly without even knowing about them! 😭

I've translated the attraction timetable, prices, and usage guide into Korean – check out the image for details!
After exploring the Huaxia Ecological Garden first,
🐟 I also visited Xinyu Ocean World.
▶ Go to the Xinyu Ocean World post
⭐ Now, let's explore Huaxiacheng itself! |

My ticket was a package that included the slide,
so I headed to the slide for my next activity.

Oh no... What a turn of events... I was told that the slide's operating hours
meant I likely wouldn't be able to ride it even if I went in now.
So, I was informed I would probably need to get a refund.

I searched the platform, but there was no information about the slide. 😔
Please make sure to check the operating hours table I compiled at the very top!

Despite this, the staff were incredibly helpful, treating it like their own issue,
and kindly guided me through the process, so it was resolved quickly.
I then moved on to explore Huaxiacheng faster!

When I visited, it was under construction.
Instead of following the blue arrow directly,
I followed the red arrows.
(You can buy buggy car tickets at the Huaxiacheng ticket office.)

I chose to walk and explore the area on foot.
There were so many beautiful views, perfect for snapping some amazing photos.

The tranquil buildings and vibrant colors were so picturesque,
if the weather cooperates even a little, you're guaranteed to get some photos of a lifetime!

As I made my way up, I entered Xiayuan (夏园).
Its operating hours were from 8:30 AM to 5:10 PM.

There were many wax figures,
and with explanations available in Korean, it was easy to understand everything.

Continuing my gentle ascent, I eventually reached the Sky Glass Bridge.
You can access it from 8:30 AM to 4:50 PM.

On the Sky Glass Bridge, you'll need shoe covers for protection.
They cost 5 yuan per pair and can be paid for using an Alipay QR code.

Everyone was taking photos on the bridge,
so I joined in and took some too.
The glass was more transparent than I expected,
and by the time I reached the middle, it was actually quite thrilling – and a little scary!

I actually watched the Lotus Fairy performance from the bridge.
I guess I was exploring so slowly that I caught it!
The massive fairy sculpture and the musical fountain
create a truly beautiful spectacle when they come together.
I highly recommend seeing it up close!

The view of Huaxiacheng from atop the Sky Glass Bridge
was truly stunning and magnificent!

After the Sky Glass Bridge, you cross a swaying bridge
and then need to walk towards the mountain for about 5-10 minutes.

From there, it's all downhill!
As you descend, you'll spot slides and stone statues along the way.
As I continued my journey, I looked back up at the glass bridge,
and looking at it now, the height was truly dizzying!

Finally, I arrived at Chengnanjie (城南街).
This is where you can see the Chengnan Chuoyan performance and the Lotus Fairy.

While it looked impressive from afar,
the scale of the fairy sculpture was even more breathtaking up close.

Unfortunately, I missed the show,
but just making it this far
offered so many sights that I was completely satisfied.
▶️ Purchase Huaxia City Admission Ticket

There was a buggy car stop here.
I tried to take a buggy car from the stop, but I couldn't.
Please note that you can only board if you purchase tickets in advance
at the ticket office, which is the very first location.
From the entrance all the way to the Chengnan Choyun (First Performance) area,
it took a leisurely 1 hour on foot.
Getting back to the Huaxia City entrance
took about 20 minutes on foot. ✌️
3. Your Questions Answered: FAQ
Question | Answer |
How long does it take to see everything? | If you're doing basic sightseeing like the Ha Yuan, Glass Bridge, and free performances, 3-4 hours is enough. If you want to experience all three activities or the nighttime 'Legend of the New City' show, you should allow half a day or more, around 5-6 hours. |
They say it's too big, is it walkable? | It's much larger than you might expect and has uphill slopes, so if you're with parents or children, taking the tourist buggy car (10-20 CNY) that operates during the day is practically essential. |
Can I not do activities if I go on a weekday? | They do operate on weekdays, but only for a short period of 3 and a half hours, from 11:00 to 14:30. So, it's safest to plan your route to do activities first upon entry, and then watch the performances. |
Can I just show up anytime for the free performances (Chengnan Choyun, Lotus Fairy)? | They only run twice a day (Chengnan Choyun 10:45/14:30, Lotus Fairy 11:25/15:10), so you need to move according to the schedule to avoid missing them. They may also be canceled in case of rain. |
Is it better to buy tickets on-site or pre-book online? | Pre-booking online through platforms like Trip.com is definitely better as it's 20-30% cheaper. Especially if you plan to do even one activity, an online package including admission + activity is much more advantageous than paying for individual activities on-site. |
Is the glass bridge admission really free? | Using the bridge itself is free. However, you must purchase shoe covers (5 CNY) at the entrance with cash or a payment app to cross it. |
Do I need to pay attention to my attire when going on the glass bridge or water slide? | For the glass bridge, pants are recommended as skirts might be transparent from below. For the water slide, water might splash a bit, so a raincoat or spare clothes would be convenient. In summer, it's also a good idea to bring a parasol, hat, or sunglasses to block the sun. |
