I actually thought it was just a surfing spot,
but it turns out the water park area for splashing around is called 'Mio Costa'!
You'll want to book your reservations for Mio Costa.

The Le Collective Hotel
had a Mio Costa package,
so I booked it and went!
Since the price included two tickets (regardless of age),
it turned out to be quite affordable.
Plus, it was nearby...
I only had to book the kids' tickets separately through Naver.
With discount coupons I received
and all my existing points,
I managed to book it all for a total of ~$90.
There are also Wave Park Live admission tickets available.
However, when we made our reservation,
they were more expensive, so booking the hotel package
was the more affordable option.
This hotel was fantastic
because it offered contactless check-in and check-out.
You can see the hotel from Surf Cove.
Some hotel rooms even offer a surf view!

When we arrived a little past 11 AM,
the parking lot was already full.
We dropped off our luggage and the family,
and they directed us to an overflow parking area.

it might be a good idea to buy the ticket that includes it.

Arrival & Entry
It took us about 45 minutes from Songdo,
and we arrived a little past 11 AM.
We dropped off the kids and our luggage here,
and my husband went off to park the car.
I wasn't sure where to go at first,
but then I just followed the crowd!
And just behind it, a building proudly sporting the Wave Park sign came into view!
Heading down to the basement,
you'll spot a cute character doll named 'Mio'!
Definitely snap a commemorative photo here.
If you need any water play essentials,
there's a shop right here where you can grab pretty much anything!
You'll also spot some arcade games,
but heads up, they're all paid options....
For Hotel Guests:
Simply show your hotel reservation message (starting with 1644) at the Wave Park ticket office.
They'll confirm it and issue your admission ticket.
For Those Who Booked via Naver:
No need for a separate ticket issue!
Just show the barcode that appears when you click the link in the text message you received from Naver.
That's all there is to it!
If you booked through Naver,
head straight to the entrance!
They'll do a quick bag check at the entrance.
(No picnic mats or outside food allowed)
Once you're in,
you'll receive a wristband.
This wristband is your key!
You'll use it for both the shoe lockers and the main lockers.
The touch system was super convenient.
Since we were all wearing our rash guards,
we just tucked away our small bags.
(Think change of clothes, shower essentials)
Good news: You CAN bring bags with water play items!
(Life vests, tubes, and bags containing iced water are all welcome)
You'll find hair dryers and fans available.
The Rental Shop
(Heads up: Even adults are required to wear life jackets
to enter the wave pool!)
That explains why there was a queue of people!

Family Shower Rooms
Having family shower rooms was a huge plus!
It didn't seem like too many people were using them (at least, I didn't see crowds when I left at closing, so couldn't tell during peak times).
This is the path leading to the pool area.
Aqua shoes are highly recommended!
We actually went barefoot, but fair warning:
the ground did get a bit warm during the day.
However, with water constantly flowing,
it's totally fine to still enjoy it barefoot.
Even around 11:30 AM,
it was already heating up fast!
Just seeing the water made me want to dive right in! Haha.
We left our life vests, tubes, and a bag with ice water
near the sunbeds, in the area where there were plenty of tubes,
and then we plunged in!
Time to relax! Sunbeds and various facilities await.

We inflated our tubes at the dedicated inflation station,
and before we knew it, the kids were already having a blast in the kids' pool!
Kids' Pool & Turtle Pool
Surprise! It was a turtle(!)
We'd been calling it a toad all this time... whoops! haha.

Miocosta Wave Pool
Even though it was bustling with people, there was still plenty of room to splash around.
The Miocosta Wave Pool is fantastic because it has both shallow spots for little ones and deeper areas (over 1.5 meters)
for adults to really ride the waves!
The water felt slightly lukewarm when we first dipped our toes in,
but we soon realized it was pleasantly heated –
what a relief not to feel chilly, especially after a long play session!
Just a friendly reminder: to enter the exhilarating wave pool,
everyone – adults and children alike –
must wear a life vest for safety and fun!
Heated Pool
Since it was early August,
the water was lukewarm, so
it was perfectly fine even if we didn't go into the heated pool.
Recreation Pool
You might be wondering why there are no photos...
Well, after playing hard and taking pictures,
by the time we got to the Recreation Pool,
my battery was dead! ㅠㅠ
When I tried the zipline,
I plunged right in, haha!
(Guess my arms are made purely of fat...
zero muscle strength ;;;;)
The faster you drop, the deeper the water gets.
The kids were actually better at it than me!
My little scaredy-cats saw me fall in and
were so surprised they didn't even try it.
It wasn't scary though...

I heard there's a diving zone too,
but with the kids,
I was too tired to go look for it.
Sunbeds
After 3 PM...
It definitely felt like there were a lot more people then....
Also, during the Kids' Pool break time,
everyone heads to the wave pool,
so it gets even more crowded.
Surf Zone
I originally thought Siheung Wave Park
only had a surf zone.
I hadn't even considered that there would be a Miocoasta (Wave Pool)...
I guess it's because Wave Park is so famous for its surfing activities;;
They've really captured that beach vibe so perfectly.....
Lunch
There's a food court, tteokbokki, pizza, and more.
We headed to the tteokbokki place closest to the entrance.
Jungwon Bunsik Tteokbokki
The Kids' Pool has 15-minute break times.
It was around 2 PM, I think....
It was time for the kids to get hungry,
so we went to Jungwon Bunsik to order,
and there was quite a line.
The line right in front of the information desk
was for payment by charging your wristband.
When you go inside,
you'll find a kiosk,
so card payments are accepted!!
But what's more,
the line was incredibly long.
After ordering,
it took over an hour
to get our food.
I thought I was going to starve...
The kids were getting restless too....
Maybe we should have just gone to the food court after all.....
If you visit Jeongwon Bunsik
and the line is long,
run to the food court!!
Or,
order in advance!!
Cotton Candy Machine
This machine makes cotton candy for you.
What a great world we live in!
It's located inside Jeongwon Bunsik.
Personally, I don't recommend it.
You can choose a pretty shape to make.
My daughters, however, thought the pretty ones
were too nice to eat, so they ordered the basic one instead ㅠ

It wasn't as big as I expected ;;;
And in my opinion, it was quite expensive ;;;
But most importantly,
the kids' lips, teeth, and tongues turned so blue,
and a powdery residue kept falling on the table.
That's why I don't recommend it.
Even though the kids loved it, I still bought it for them ㅠ
It felt like their mouths turned blue much faster than with other cotton candies
or slushies...
(though it might have just been an unusually strong blue color).
Indoor Seating
There are quite a few tables scattered around,
but there were no seats available.......
(Of course, it's bound to be busy with so many people....)
I thought Jeongwon Bunsik
had set menus,
but it seems they don't have them here;
Since they weren't on the kiosk,
we ordered individual items.
Here's what we ordered:
Budae Tteokbokki
(with added ramen noodles)
Assorted Fried Items
Mini Monte Cristo Sandwich 2pcs
Cider (Korean soda)
The Mini Monte Cristo Sandwich
was indeed mini, so it was small.
Each Monte Cristo sandwich was
about 1/4 the size of a slice of bread.
The Assorted Fried Items included:
dumplings, vegetable fritters, sweet potato fritters, gim-mari (seaweed roll) fritters,
and shrimp chips.
Budae Tteokbokki
There was no regular tteokbokki,
so we just ordered Budae Tteokbokki, figuring it would be similar.
It had sausages, eggs, and cheese, which the kids love.
Udon noodles seemed to be a basic topping.
Even though it didn't look like there was a lot of sauce,
it was fine even after mixing in the ramen noodles
and then the udon noodles.
The taste was good.
It tasted like regular flour tteokbokki,
with a slight 'budaejjigae' vibe (because of the sausages and cheese).
That's the added feeling it had.
Thankfully, it didn't have too strong a budaejjigae flavor,
which was a relief!
It wasn't too spicy either, so even the kids enjoyed it.
Cheers with cider!!

Since their closing time was 8 PM,
we showered and left around 7:30 PM.
We quickly searched for a place open 24 hours,
and ended up finding Obongjip! Haha.
Our evening was incredibly fun too,
but we really burned ourselves out today, haha!
Miocoasta at Siheung Wave Park is a water park with an exotic interior and a wave pool. It refers to a space where you can enjoy water activities other than surfing. When making a reservation, you can proceed by selecting 'Miocoasta'.
You can use it affordably through Le Collective Hotel's Miocoasta package. I personally booked it for a total of ~$90 by using discount coupons and points. Hana Card offers a 40% discount, and Siheung citizens receive a 30% discount.
Miocoasta operates from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Parking is free for 12 hours, but if there are many visitors, you may be directed to a temporary parking lot due to full capacity.
Both adults and children must wear life jackets to enter Miocoasta's wave pool. Life jacket rental costs ~$6 per item, and card payment is available.
The line at Jeongwon Bunsik can be long, so you might wait over an hour for food after ordering. If the line is long, it's advisable to use the food court or order in advance. Card payment is available via kiosk.
