Brown Dot Geobukseom Siheung Review 2026: Family Stay Near Oido

Actually, there's a secret to how we managed to start our experience so leisurely at 9 AM.

It's because we stayed overnight near Oido the day before

and then traveled there.

I was so impressed by how clean it was, its great location, and the impeccable service.

So, I wanted to share my review of

Sihwa Brown Dot Geobukseom Branch

Just 10 Minutes from Oido! The Perfect Location

Since the main purpose of this trip was the "Oido Tidal Flat Experience,"

the accommodation's location was super important.

Brown Dot Geobukseom Branch is only about a 10-minute drive to the Oido Tidal Flat Experience Center,

making it the perfect spot for an early start.

Beyond the tidal flat experience,

the area right next to the hotel is also wonderfully set up for seaside strolls, letting you enjoy the ocean breeze.

It seems like a fantastic spot for a day trip near Seoul – you can enjoy some seafood and a drink in Oido,

take a walk by the sea, and simply relax.

Final Payment: ~$53 – Incredible Value!

The front desk at Brown Dot Geobukseom Branch is on the 6th floor!

When there's no staff, you can check in autonomously.

I checked in directly with a staff member since someone was there.

I booked a twin room for up to 4 people, based on 2, and they told me they'd upgrade my room!

Super lucky!!

On top of that, they only charged for one extra person.

Maybe they don't charge for preschoolers? Brown Dot Geobukseom Branch truly offers incredible value for money.

I usually enjoy budget-friendly travel when I go on trips.

You know how even for the same hotel, prices can vary across different booking sites, right?

I literally checked Agoda, Yeogi Eottae, Yanolja, and Trip.com,

and I found the cheapest place!

Even on Yanolja, the same Siheung Brown Dot is more expensive if listed as a 'Hotel'

and cheaper if listed as a 'Motel'.

Honestly, researching prices is the most tiring part ㅠ

And if you snag the payment discounts that open at 10 AM, it's absolutely fantastic!

The payment was ~$58, but I got a 10% KakaoTalk discount,

so I ended up paying ~$53.

You'll need to purchase amenities from the vending machine at the front desk.

Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided in the room.

Sihwa Brown Dot Geobukseom Branch Facilities

An ice machine, coffee machine, and water purifier are available.

The refrigerator in the room had bottles of frozen water inside.

For immediate drinking, each room gets 2 bottles!

Additional water bottles are also provided.

We took the frozen water bottles from our room with us to the mudflat experience

and they came in super handy! Lol.

Cereal, toast, and other items to enjoy for breakfast.

Brown Dot Siheung Branch Suite Room

Room upgrade — lucky us! ♡

I was really surprised by how spacious the room was!

There are two double beds,

two couple PCs,

and even a Styler!!

What's more, the toilet, shower, bathtub, and sink areas

are all separated into individual spaces.

This meant that when our family of four was getting ready in the morning,

it didn't feel crowded at all, and we could prepare at our leisure.

Truly the best!

We came so suddenly this time that I didn't get to prepare a bath bomb,

but next time, it would be wonderful to bring some bath salts and truly relax!

When you're away having fun, how can you resist chicken and beer in the evening?

After putting the kids to bed, at the nearby table,

my husband and I 'crushed' a Pinachigong set.

We ordered a single-person set from Siheung Pinachigong, thinking it would be a simple snack,

but it was incredibly substantial and great, wasn't it?! Lolololol.

It was perfect for the two of us to enjoy with a beer.

If you're going to enjoy a mudflat experience with the kids first thing in the morning,

you've got to fill up your stomach!

We brought back a simple breakfast prepared in the lobby of Brown Dot Turtle Island (Geobukseom) Branch.

Toast, butter, and strawberry jam are the basics!

And on top of that, there were roasted eggs, milk, and cereal.

Everything was generously provided.

To think breakfast is included at this price!

But this is only available while supplies last,

so it's probably best to head down a little early in the morning, haha.

The terrace we didn't get to visit in the evening.

The weather is so good, my heart is already fluttering with excitement.

It's just so thrilling! ♡

For those planning a trip to Siheung or Oido,

Brown Dot Geobukseom was absolutely fantastic!

It's incredibly close to the Oido Tidal Flat Experience Center,

and having a beautiful seaside promenade nearby is a huge plus!

What's more, with free breakfast, your morning meal is completely sorted in one go!

Thanks to all this, I was feeling my best the next day and managed to dig up four baskets of delicious surf clams!
