When you embark on a **Beijing adventure**, most travelers tend to book their accommodation in either Wangfujing or
Wangjing.
If you're planning on taking day tours, staying near Wangjing Station will be super convenient.
After all, most day tours kick off from Wangjing Station!
We also took a day tour from Wangjing Station, and before we left, we explored a fantastic restaurant near the station.
So, today, let me introduce you to **Silu Chuanqi**, a must-visit spot near Wangjing Station for delicious beef noodles and lamb skewers!
By the way, for a **Great Wall tour departing from Wangjing Station**, check out our previous post below.

Hours: Daily 00:00-24:00 Location: A 5-minute walk from Wangjing Station Exit C (North-South) |
**Silu Chuanqi, located just a 5-minute walk from Wangjing Station, is open 24 hours a day**, making it a perfect spot to visit before or after your tour.

Right in front of Silu Chuanqi's entrance, you'll find a small food court-like area selling snacks like dumplings and savory pancakes.
It's great for grabbing a bite or two before heading out on your tour!
As you step inside, staff members dressed in traditional Chinese attire will welcome you warmly.

At the entrance of Silu Chuanqi, you'll find **free cherry tomatoes set out as appetizers.**
Just grab as many as you like after ordering and enjoy them with your main dishes!

The interior of Silu Chuanqi was much larger than I expected.
What's more, a huge number of locals were already enjoying their lunch.
Before even tasting the food, I was convinced this was a true hidden gem!
It was a bit bustling with so many people, but that only made me more excited, anticipating how delicious the food must be.

Silu Chuanqi offers a fairly diverse menu, with its main specialties being **noodle dishes like beef noodles and various skewers, especially lamb skewers**.
Honestly, I initially came just for the noodles, but the skewers caught my eye, and I simply couldn't resist ordering them.
In conclusion, I would have seriously regretted it if I hadn't ordered them...!

📌 Menu Ordered
丝路传奇炖汤牛肉面 Silu Chuanqi Stewed Beef Noodle Soup 22 yuan
功夫干煸炒面 Gongfu Ganbian Stir-fried Noodles 33 yuan
烤羊肉串 Lamb Skewers (10 skewers) 60 yuan
烤金针菇 Grilled Enoki Mushrooms 15 yuan
烤韭菜 Grilled Chives 15 yuan
Three adults ordered 2 noodle dishes,
10 lamb skewers, and 2 types of vegetable skewers.
The total came out to 145 yuan, which was roughly ~$21.
Since it's Beijing, the prices are a bit higher,
but compared to prices back home, they were definitely more reasonable!

By the way, among the dishes I ordered, for the beef noodle soup,
you have to go to the beef noodle counter to pick it up yourself,
while for the other dishes, including the skewers, you get a buzzer
and a staff member brings them to your table!

First up, the two noodle dishes — the beef noodle soup and the stir-fried noodles — arrived.
As I mentioned earlier, the cherry tomatoes
are free to take and enjoy!

📍 Our first noodle dish was the Silu Chuanqi Beef Noodle Soup!
As it's their signature beef noodle soup,
almost every table had at least one bowl of it.
When you pick up your beef noodle soup, you can also choose whether or not to add cilantro,
so if you're not a fan of its aroma, just ask them to leave it out.
(bùyào xiāngcài, 不要香菜 - 'no cilantro')
They also ask how much chili oil you'd like,
and since even a little adds quite a kick,
I asked for just a small amount.

The Silu Chuanqi Beef Noodle Soup, first of all, has a rich and deep broth,
a flavor that many, especially those who enjoy rich Asian broths, would adore.
The noodles were also perfectly cooked,
giving them a fantastic chew.
If you're craving a comforting bowl of warm beef noodle soup,
I highly recommend the Silu Chuanqi Beef Noodle Soup!
Plus, the noodle portion was quite generous for roughly ~$3,
making it an incredibly satisfying dish for the price.

📍 Next up was the Gongfu Ganbian Stir-fried Noodles.
Ganbian (干煸) is a Chinese cooking method that uses only oil for stir-frying, without any water.
The stir-fried noodles I ordered were a spicy noodle dish stir-fried with vegetables, chili peppers, and more.
This dish is also said to be one of their signatures,
so I decided to try it, and it turned out to be absolutely delicious!

My parents, who aren't usually big fans of strong spices,
even enjoyed it so much, saying it was deliciously spicy,
that they finished their entire bowls.
While the chili peppers add a slight kick, if you remove them,
it's just the right amount of spicy for many palates, especially Korean ones,
making it a truly enjoyable dish.
The noodles are similar in thickness to udon, giving them a great texture,
and the sauce is so well-absorbed that it just screams for a beer!

📍 Next up, the highly anticipated lamb skewers!
Honestly, I ordered the lamb skewers without much expectation,
initially just getting 5 to try,
but they perfectly hit the spot, so I ended up ordering 5 more!

I asked them to sprinkle chili powder on them,
and they came with just the right amount of cumin and chili powder,
We got to try some truly delicious lamb skewers!
What's more, even though they were 6 yuan each, the portion of lamb was quite generous,
and the meat itself was so tender, it was incredibly satisfying!

Next up, I'll introduce you to something you absolutely *must* have with lamb skewers:
grilled chives.
Grilled chives are a side dish I always make sure to order
whenever I eat lamb skewers in China.
These grilled chives, seasoned with savory Chinese spices,
have fantastic chemistry with lamb skewers.
They offer a lovely crisp texture and have a charm that perfectly cuts through
the richness of the lamb skewers.
(If you're having lamb skewers, seriously, *order this*!)

The last side dish is grilled enoki mushrooms.
Grilled enoki mushrooms aren't a menu item you find
at every lamb skewer restaurant,
so when I find them, I *always* order them!

Following grilled chives, grilled enoki mushrooms also
pair incredibly well with lamb skewers.
Beyond the natural texture of the enoki mushrooms,
the unique skewer seasoning added to them
really amplified the umami flavor.

If you're doing a day tour starting from Wangjing Station like us,
or if you've booked accommodation near Wangjing Station,
I highly recommend Sano Jeongi, where you can enjoy both delicious beef noodles and lamb skewers!
Even if you just order the dishes I did,
you'll have a pretty satisfying meal.
💡 If you need the Gaode Map address for Sano Jeongi,

and I'll share the link right away!
Wishing you a delicious Beijing trip!
