Voyage Coffee Sanlihe Beijing: A Must-Visit Waterfront Cafe
Searching for an atmospheric specialty cafe with amazing lattes in Beijing? Voyage Coffee's Sanlihe branch offers a serene escape with top-notch brews.

A place I truly fell in love with during my Beijing trip,
Voyage Coffee, a cozy spot in Sanlihe near Qianmen Street (前門大街)!
Honestly, when you're planning a Beijing itinerary, which is a city rich in traditional style, finding a truly great coffee spot or a trendy cafe that actually serves good coffee can be surprisingly tricky.
But this was one of those places I wanted to keep all to myself, perfect from the coffee to the ambiance, which is why I'm recommending it! (The ducks and turtles were a bonus, haha!)
📍 For those looking for a cozy cafe in Beijing, or places to visit near Qianmen Street or the Temple of Heaven, I'll share its location, menu, and my honest review!

Location & Ambiance

Voyage Coffee's Sanlihe branch is nestled in a tranquil hutong, built along the waterfront of ✅ Sanlihe Park (三里河) near Qianmen Street.

'Sanlihe' isn't widely known among tourists, but
it was a charming space where the unique, beautiful sensibility of Beijing's hutong alleys perfectly blended with a modern cafe vibe.
With cute ducks, turtles, and koi fish in the well-maintained waters, it was a small but delightful escape!
It's also wonderfully quiet, with no car or motorbike noise.
Apparently, chickens sometimes wander around too, and their crowing can be quite distinct, haha!
Voyage Coffee Entrance

Voyage Coffee, with its wood-toned exterior,
blended beautifully with the surrounding scenery!

✅ The outdoor seating was a fantastic terrace with a view, perfect for leisurely sipping a drink while gazing at the tranquil waters!
Inside, you can enjoy views of the waterfront through large windows.

The indoor seating, with its natural and emotionally rich wood-toned interior, was great for working alone or using a laptop, as well as for conversations with several people.
It was quiet during my weekday visit, but it's a popular spot that often has a waiting line on Fridays and weekends.

It also doubles as a bookstore,
selling magazines and artwork!
There was actually a painting that perfectly captured Beijing's mood, which I absolutely adored, but unfortunately, it wasn't available in the size I wanted, so I couldn't buy it. 😔

Gentle classical music plays, creating a calm atmosphere that puts your mind at ease.
The air conditioning was also incredibly cool, making it the perfect spot to catch your breath and relax during your Beijing travels.
Menu

✅️ Espresso 28元
✅️ Americano 30元
✅️ Cafe Latte 35元
✅️ Dirty Coffee 35元
✅️ Affogato 45元
✅️ Tiramisu 38元
✅️ Cheesecake 45元
✅️ 1 Pack of Coffee Beans: 180元
and many more.

As expected from a specialty coffee shop, their lineup is solid, featuring everything from espresso-based drinks, cold brew, dirty coffee, to decaf, and they even sell coffee beans!

Beyond coffee, there are plenty of non-coffee options like orange juice, tea, ade, and chocolate lattes, and they even have desserts like cheesecake, tiramisu, and croissants.
The dessert quality looks better than I expected, so I'll have to try a cake next time.
✅️ The prices are comparable to what you'd find in cafes in many major cities!
Honest Review

✅️ Taste: A Coffee Lover's Paradise
We ordered an Iced Latte (35元) and a Hot Latte (35元).
We could choose between acidic beans, decaf, or nutty beans,
and the latte was deliciously nutty, with a wonderful balance of beans and milk. The hot latte even came with a perfectly crafted rosetta latte art.

✅️ Friendliness: Thoughtful Service
Only two of our three companions ordered, but the staff thoughtfully provided a glass of cool water for everyone.
It was a place where these warm details made us feel happy throughout our stay.
Not only is it a place with amazing views, but we were also extremely satisfied with the coffee taste and the staff's professionalism!
