Asiana OZ3355 Gimpo-Beijing Review 2026: Kids Meal & Stroller
Our 2026 Asiana OZ3355 flight from Gimpo to Beijing with a 30-month-old was mostly smooth! Discover tips on airport lounges, kids meals, and important stroller services.
Hello, fellow travelers! It's me, Global Explorer!
This past summer vacation, my family and I embarked on a 3-night, 4-day adventure to Beijing, China, with our little one. Today, I'm excited to share our experience flying Asiana Airlines flight OZ3355 from Gimpo International Airport (GMP) to Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) for our outbound journey.

Traveling with a young child, we deliberately chose to depart from Gimpo Airport for its shorter transit times and easier navigation compared to the larger Incheon International Airport. It's the perfect setup: grab lunch at the lounge, then head straight to your gate!
1. Gimpo International Airport Departure & Sky Hub Lounge Experience

In late July 2026, on a weekday, Gimpo International Airport's international terminal felt quite uncrowded. While mobile check-in allows for quick bag drop-off, we had a seating issue that required us to wait at the counter. Our flight was scheduled for 3:40 PM, and the check-in counter opened at 1:00 PM. Security screening and immigration were a breeze, with no significant delays even with about an hour left before boarding. The streamlined process and shorter distances at Gimpo made traveling with our child much more manageable than at Incheon.

After clearing security, we spent some time at the Sky Hub Lounge using 'The Lounge' app. My husband and I each used our lounge cards, and we paid the child's admission fee. With the companion discount, it came out to ~$16. While smaller than the lounges at Incheon Airport, it offered a decent selection of kid-friendly options like fried rice, seaweed soup, and egg dishes, perfect for a light meal before our flight.
If you don't have a lounge card, I highly recommend purchasing a discounted pass via the link below!

2. Asiana Airlines In-flight Seating & Flight Experience
Flight: Asiana Airlines (Gimpo ↔ Beijing)
Flight Time: Approximately 2 hours 15 minutes

The flight from Gimpo to Beijing Capital Airport takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes. Unfortunately, our family of four couldn't sit together, so we ended up in two separate rows: three of us in one, and my husband alone in the row behind us.
My husband ended up in a window seat in the back row by himself... A word to the wise: if you find yourselves split into a group of three and one, make sure that single person gets an aisle seat! On our return flight, we were able to sit as two pairs, which was much better.

I was a bit flustered trying to manage two kids alone, but thankfully, the flight attendants offered gifts for the children, which was a great distraction!

Each seat also had a personal VOD monitor, making it easy to play children's animations. Since the flight wasn't too long, watching Pororo (a popular Korean animated character) kept our little one entertained, and the flight passed smoothly.
3. Standard In-flight Meal & Pre-ordered Kids' Meal Options
We pre-ordered the kids' meals through the Asiana app 24 hours before departure. One fantastic feature of Asiana's kids' meals is that they are served before the regular adult meals. This allowed us to get our child settled with their food first, so we could enjoy our own meals comfortably afterward.

For the adults, the standard in-flight meal was served. The shrimp were plump, and the scallops were delicious! I probably would have enjoyed it even more if I hadn't filled up so much at the lounge beforehand, haha.

For the Asiana kids' meals, we chose the Tteokgalbi (Korean grilled short rib patties) and Omurice (omelet rice) options.

Beyond the main dishes, the kids' snack packs were particularly well-stocked. They included juice, boxed crackers, and jellies, which were perfect for keeping hunger at bay throughout the flight.
4. A Minor Glitch: Stroller Door-to-Door Service at Beijing Capital Airport

The only hiccup during our trip was retrieving our portable stroller (an Able Yomoka model) upon arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK). We had requested 'Door-to-Door' service, meaning the stroller would be brought directly to the gate upon deplaning. However, the wait time at the gate for our stroller was incredibly long!

To make matters worse, the air conditioning in the waiting area near the exit wasn't working, making it quite stifling. Waiting for the stroller in such a hot environment while trying to soothe our child was really challenging.

Because of this experience, we inquired about bringing the stroller onboard for our return flight. However, we were informed that due to the specific aircraft model used for this route, carry-on was not permitted, and only door-to-door service was available. The planes used for Gimpo flights are generally smaller, and it was a full flight, so they couldn't accommodate it. Perhaps because we voiced our concerns, the stroller arrived much faster when we returned to Gimpo Airport! We landed around 8:00 PM and were able to exit the airport quickly, which was a huge relief.

We parked our car in the Gimpo International Airport parking garage, which offers direct access to the terminal. Both the parking garage and underground parking are available. Note that unlike the domestic terminal, Gimpo International Airport does not offer official valet parking service, so plan accordingly! I actually tried to book valet parking and had to cancel. While we did encounter a minor inconvenience with the stroller retrieval, the overall convenience of Gimpo Airport's operations and the satisfaction with Asiana's kids' meal service made the Asiana flight from Gimpo a thoroughly enjoyable choice for our family trip to Beijing.
