Melia Vinpearl - VinWonders Shuttle Bus
Melia Vinpearl also has a shuttle bus service,
which runs to VinWonders, Safari, and Grand World!
You can get off at Grand World T1 or T2.
I was recommended to get off at T2,
but I accidentally got off at T1.
It was quite walkable, though!

How to Get from Melia Vinpearl to VinWonders

<Operating Hours>
VinWonders Operating Hours: 09:00 - 20:00
Mermaid Show (Fish Feeding): Daily at 11:00, 14:00
Water Park Operating Hours: 09:00 - 18:00
We really should have booked a buggy....
Instead, we walked everywhere by ourselves.
My kids are in elementary school, and the weather was okay for walking, but.....
if you have toddlers, a buggy is definitely a must-have.
(The park is huge!)

Drinks and Snacks Inside VinWonders
<What to Pack>
(Wearing a rash guard and hat)
Towel (we brought one from the hotel)
Change of clothes & underwear
Goggles
Plastic bag (to put wet rash guards in)
Aqua shoes (we brought them, but barely wore them)
Charger (great for charging your phone battery during lunch)
Adventure World

You can see rides scattered everywhere.
They looked a bit scary,
so we just skipped them.

I really wanted to ride an attraction similar to Everland's Amazon Express.
And this is it!

I hesitated for a moment, wondering whether to go in or not.
I thought if there was a drop like Everland's Thunder Falls,
my kids might get scared, so my eldest daughter and I went on it first.
Some people even came wearing raincoats.
Since we were already in our rash guards, we just hopped on.

At the very end, water sprayed out ridiculously, like a sprinkler watering a lawn.
(No raincoat needed!)
There's almost no thrill.
No drops at all, either, haha!
It was perfect for us, so we rode it three times!
By the time we were heading out, it was really starting to fill up!
Good thing the lines weren't long!

No time to linger, though! 😉
We needed to hustle to the aquarium by 1:30 PM to catch the mermaid show!
After getting on 2-3 rides (seriously, no lines!)
It was almost time for the show!

The Famous Turtle Aquarium
Get this – the VinWonders Aquarium is actually shaped like a giant turtle!

It's a colossal turtle!
It looked so realistic, it was truly mesmerizing!

Stepping inside, we were greeted by a massive aquarium!

It wasn't even 1:30 PM yet,
but people had already snagged most of the good spots!
We barely managed to find a spot ourselves!

Since we had a few moments,
I quickly snapped some photos on the way to the restroom! 😉
I figured we could come back and explore more after the mermaid show,
so I quickly noted what was where!

The jellyfish were absolutely mesmerizing and beautiful!

Stingrays!

Tiny, like little toys,
and amazing fluorescent fish!

Was Nemo always this utterly adorable and charming?
It's easy to see why they made an animation about him!

After the mermaid show, we headed straight for the penguins!

Penguins!

They also sell food for them,
but I remember it being a tad pricey.

Seriously, though.....

Penguins zipping quickly through the water!

There's even a small tunnel, and
kids loved darting back and forth through it!
They look like adorable dolls
waddling around!

This leads out to the Deep Sea Restaurant.
The seats closest to the aquarium were already bustling with people,
and only a few spots further back on the first floor and some on the second floor were still available.

We headed back to our seats.

The Mermaid Show begins!

They're wearing goggles, but
it must be so challenging to perform while holding their breath for such a long time!
They took turns diving down and coming up,
blowing lots of hearts our way – it was simply mesmerizing!

The mermen were also magnificent (especially the one with long hair and an incredible physique!).
My eyes kept gravitating towards him!

After the show,

after the grand finale,
they even gave a short performance,

and there was a photo session too!

If you wait patiently,
the mermaids even descend into the tank for photo ops and
will take pictures with you!
(Front row seats are always a good idea!
I really wanted to take a photo with a female mermaid,
but by the time we got to the front of the aquarium, she had already gone up....)

I wandered around to explore again,
because I really wanted to come into this tunnel, haha!

Snapping some photos as I made my way out.

Feeling hungry, I made my way to Lotteria.
I'd read reviews suggesting Lotteria was a better bet than taking a chance on a random restaurant.

After asking for directions, I finally found Lotteria.

I ordered Travel Set No. 2 for 355,000 VND.
We thoroughly enjoyed the chicken, which was super tasty, and it was awesome to get four drinks!
Now, it's time for some water fun!

The water park slides where the kids let loose!

Even though it's quite tall,
the slope wasn't too steep, so they said it wasn't scary at all!

The toddler slide on the other side.

The Wave Pool

Feel free to use the tubes in the wave pool,
and hats weren't a must-wear item.
(In fact, most people weren't wearing them!)

The slides for adults.

There were some that looked like a blast (and maybe a little bit terrifying!)
But honestly, having to haul the tube all the way up? That was a deal-breaker for me.
We did, however, brave this one as a family – twice!
It was so thrilling and a total blast!
A slide built for four!
The only 'downside' was the minor effort of carrying the tube up.

Over at the wave pool, they even put on some fantastic performances throughout the afternoon!
We stayed almost until closing time,
so we got to catch every single show.

After all the fun and changing into dry clothes,
everyone was thirsty, so we decided to try a refreshing coconut drink.
It had a unique, natural taste – almost like a fresh tree sap!

After changing and leisurely making our way out,
it was already almost 6 PM.
As we stepped outside,
we noticed many people had already found their seats.
We hadn't initially set out to watch the incredible Wins Show,
but since the time was almost right and we were already there, we decided to grab a spot and enjoy it!
The Wins Show!

With everyone feeling thirsty and hungry again,
we made our way back to Lotteria.
We grabbed some snacks and bottled water.
(The bottled water was quite affordable, and we indulged in some potato chips!)

With captivating music, dancing fountains,
and a fascinating storyline unfolding,
plus dazzling fire effects, it was truly a spectacle worth seeing!

Next up, we decided to head to Grand World for a delicious dinner!

Tonight's choice: 'Com Nha' – a classic Vietnamese rice dish with meat, yum!

And for dessert, we absolutely had to try some rolled ice cream!
(A classic vanilla, of course!)

It was getting late, and we weren't keen on waiting around for the shuttle,
so after a little friendly negotiation with a buggy driver,
we hopped on a buggy (sharing the ride for 50,000 dong) back to our accommodation.
