I highly recommend

booking online in advance.

A quick tip: unless you are staying in the north,

booking a package with a shuttle is a lifesaver.

Taking a taxi from the central or southern resorts

can be pricey and time-consuming,

so the round-trip shuttle option is incredibly convenient.

Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc

opens at 9:00 AM,

and I strongly suggest getting there right at opening.

If you arrive late, the safari bus lines get crazy,

and the midday tropical heat makes walking around exhausting.

​

There is a highly coveted VIP Safari Tour, but you literally

have to sprint to the desk at opening to buy it.

I tried to get one, but they were already sold out! Haha.

It includes a private buggy

and a personal guide to take you

exclusively around the zoo.

It costs over ~$77... pretty pricey!

While it is an investment,

if you are traveling with young kids or elderly parents,

I highly recommend adding it.

The park is sprawling, and my dad

actually struggled with some back pain from all the walking.

Entry is a breeze if you've pre-booked—

I recommend taking a screenshot of your mobile voucher

The undisputed highlight here is the giraffe feeding experience.

These gentle giants come right up to you

to munch on carrots.

They are surprisingly huge up close and incredibly cute.

beautifully landscaped and perfect for snapping pictures.

of course, the Safari Bus.

You board a secure bus that drives right into the habitats,

giving you front-row views of lions, tigers, and bears.

It is a thrilling "reverse zoo" concept—

you are in the cage,

and the animals are roaming free outside.

​

​

When a pride of lions or a massive tiger

strolls right past your window,

it is an unforgettable thrill for both kids and adults.

Even if the line looks long,

the buses run continuously, so it moves surprisingly fast.

​

​

Pro tip: The animals are much more active in the morning.

By the afternoon, they usually retreat

to the shade to nap.

So, try to ride the Safari Bus

as early as possible.

​

​

Phu Quoc's sun is no joke, often pushing past 85°F.

Pack a hat, sunglasses, and plenty of water.

You will be spending a lot of time outdoors,

and it requires a decent amount of stamina.

​

​

Since the park is located in the north,

your travel time will vary based on your hotel.

If you are staying near Grand World, it's a quick trip,

but if you are down south, definitely look into

those round-trip shuttle packages.

​

​

If your Phu Quoc itinerary is three nights or longer,

dedicating a full day to conquer both

Vinpearl Safari and VinWonders is highly recommended.

Resort life is wonderfully relaxing, but throwing in
