Conquering Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc with Two 4-Year-Olds (+Route Map)
If you are planning a family trip to Phu Quoc, Vietnam, Vinpearl Safari is an absolute must-visit!🦒
We recently visited, and I was honestly blown away by how massive this place is! There is a reason everyone raves about it.
Before our trip, I spent hours searching for where to book tickets and how to map out our route, but I couldn't find a single, comprehensive guide.
So today, I’ve put together the ultimate guide for you! Here is everything you need to know:
✔ How to book discount tickets
✔ Best recommended route
✔ Must-do experiences
✔ Toddler-survival tips
Let's dive in!
Should You Book Vinpearl Safari Tickets in Advance?
Short answer: Absolutely, yes!
While you can buy tickets at the gate, I highly recommend booking in advance because:
- Gate prices are often more expensive.
- You'll waste precious morning energy waiting in long lines.
- It keeps your travel schedule smooth and stress-free.
Especially during peak seasons, booking ahead gives you peace of mind. I booked ours before we even left!
The booking process was seamless, and we received our vouchers instantly. At the entrance, we just scanned the QR codes and walked right in!
It was incredibly convenient.

💡 Prices can vary depending on seasonal promotions, so I highly recommend checking the latest rates before you book!

Pro-Tips for Navigating the Safari
First off, this place is huge, and it gets incredibly crowded! Arriving right at opening time (doing an "open run") is highly recommended.
If you just wander around aimlessly, you will exhaust yourself and your kids very quickly.
Here is our recommended route to maximize your time and energy:
① Entry (Aim for opening time!)
② Giraffe Feeding 🦒 (Absolute must-do first)
③ Safari Bus Tour (Air-conditioned bliss, must-do)
④ Open Zoo Exploration
⑤ Animal Show
⑥ Lunch Break
⑦ Aviary
⑧ Souvenir Shop

Following this flow will keep you from backtracking and save your legs. Save this route for your trip!
The Giraffe Feeding Experience is a Must!
This is easily the most popular spot in the park! Yes, it gets very crowded, but it's worth it.
The giraffes walk right up to the railing to eat. It is an amazing photo opportunity for adults and a magical experience for kids.
If you visit Vinpearl Safari, this is a non-negotiable! My 4-year-old was actually terrified at first. But after watching other people feed them safely, he gained the courage to try it himself. Total proud mom moment! *_*
The feeding area is located at the Giraffe Restaurant, which serves food and drinks. It gets quite hot and carries a distinct 'safari aroma,' but it's still a fantastic place to sit down and take a quick break!

Don't Miss the Safari Bus Tour!
This is the absolute highlight of Vinpearl Safari.
Instead of looking at caged animals, you board a secure, air-conditioned bus that drives directly through the free-roaming wildlife habitats.
You will get incredibly close to tigers, lions, rhinos, and zebras. It is so much fun!
Plus, because Phu Quoc's weather is extremely hot, stepping into that air-conditioned bus felt like pure heaven. 😂
In fact, after running around in the heat, one of our 4-year-olds fell fast asleep within minutes of enjoying the cool A/C!

Beating the Phu Quoc Heat
Phu Quoc is seriously hot...
Make sure to pack these essentials:
✔ Sun hats
✔ Sunscreen
✔ Portable mini-fans
✔ Cold water (frozen water is best!)
You will be doing a lot of walking, so managing your energy is key.
We packed some snacks and water in an insulated bag with ice packs. Even though they melted quickly in the heat, it was an absolute lifesaver!

Where is the Best Place to Book Tickets?
I booked our tickets online before our trip. The process was super easy, and we received our mobile vouchers instantly!
Best of all, they frequently run discount promotions, allowing you to secure your tickets at a lower rate than buying them at the gate. :)

Perfect Itinerary Combos
If you want to make the most of your day, consider pairing the safari with:
✔ VinWonders (Theme Park)
✔ Grand World (Entertainment Complex)
✔ VinBus (Free Shuttle Service)
With our two 4-year-olds, we did the morning safari run, and time flew by. We wrapped up and left around 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM. (The heat was intense, so both the kids and the moms were totally wiped out! Haha.)
They fell fast asleep the second we got in the taxi on the way back to the hotel. 😂

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best route to take at Phu Quoc Vinpearl Safari to avoid backtracking?
We recommend entering right at the morning opening and doing the giraffe feeding and the air-conditioned safari bus first. Afterward, you can conveniently enjoy the rest of the park by visiting the open zoo, animal shows, having lunch, and then heading to the bird enclosure and souvenir shop.
Where is the giraffe feeding experience located at Phu Quoc Vinpearl Safari, and what is it like?
The giraffe feeding experience takes place at a restaurant inside the safari. It is incredibly popular because the giraffes come right up to you. The restaurant also sells food, making it a great spot to take a quick break, but keep in mind that there might be an animal odor.
If I visit Phu Quoc Vinpearl Safari right at the morning opening with a 4-year-old child, around what time do we usually finish the tour?
If you enter at opening time, you will typically finish the tour and leave around 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM. Since the weather is hot and there is a lot of walking, children can easily get tired. It is highly recommended to bring frozen water and a portable fan.
