VN433 Incheon → Da Nang Boarding Review
(Seats, Cabin Environment, In-Flight Meal)
Seats & Cabin Environment
Boarding for VN433 began at Gate 113 at Incheon International Airport.
Each seat was equipped with a pillow and blanket, which came in handy, especially since it was a red-eye flight.
However, I personally found the economy seats to be quite snug. Even for me, at 5 feet 4 inches, the knee room was pretty minimal.
There were no personal seat-back monitors. Instead, communal monitors were installed in the cabin ceiling.
If you plan on watching anything during your flight, I highly recommend downloading movies or TV shows to your phone or tablet beforehand.
In-flight Meal & Drinks
One of the things I was most curious about with Vietnam Airlines was the in-flight meal.
On the VN433 Incheon-Da Nang route, you can check the menu once you're on board.
When I flew, there were two options, and I chose the chicken and rice dish.
The main course was served with bread, a salad, and dessert all on one tray.
Drink service was also provided, with choices including water, juice, beer, or wine.
VN430 Da Nang → Incheon Boarding Review
(Seats, Cabin Environment, In-Flight Meal)
For my return flight, I took VN430 from Da Nang International Airport.
Check-in & Baggage Policy
The baggage policy for the return flight was the same as for the outbound flight from Incheon.
I arrived at the airport about two hours before departure, but immigration took quite a while that day.
Waiting times can vary depending on airport conditions, so I recommend arriving with a bit of extra time when flying back as well.
Seats & Cabin Environment
The seating and general cabin environment were largely consistent with the outbound flight, and pillows and blankets were provided on the return journey too.
In-flight Meal & Service
An in-flight meal was also served on the return flight.
I was so exhausted that I didn't eat it, but it's good to know it's there!
Having in-flight meals included for both legs of the journey was super convenient, especially for late-night flights, as it meant I didn't have to worry about packing extra food.
After flying round trip with Vietnam Airlines VN433 and VN430 for my Da Nang trip, I found them to be generally reliable and a good option for travelers.
✔️ Free checked baggage of 51 lbs (23 kg) in Economy
✔️ In-flight meals and drink service provided on both flights
✔️ Pillows and blankets available
I booked my round trip for approximately ~$242, and for that price, getting 51 lbs (23 kg) of checked baggage, along with round-trip in-flight meals and drink service, felt like a great value.
On the flip side, the seats felt narrower than expected, and the lack of personal entertainment monitors was a drawback.
If the price difference between a full-service airline like Vietnam Airlines and a budget carrier isn't significant, I'd recommend looking beyond just the ticket price.
Consider baggage allowance, in-flight meals, and arrival/departure times to make the best choice for your journey.
