Zhuhai, China, located right next to Hong Kong and Macau, hosts EDM festivals about twice a year.
The VAC Festival!
This year (2026) in spring, John Summit is also coming to Zhuhai, so the lineup is insane!
Getting there is easier than you might think,
and since it's China, hotel costs are quite affordable.
If you're not deterred by the thought of traveling in China, it might even be better than festivals in other countries, don't you think?
I've been to many EDM festivals in China,
and honestly, Chinese festivals are more fun than Korean ones.
They always offer free shuttle buses,
the festival grounds are spacious,
and the dress code is super relaxed.
Seriously, you can wear anything you want!
So now, let's explore the venue, how to get there, the lineup, and accommodation, one by one.
1. VAC Festival Venue: Location

It's being held at the Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel in Zhuhai City.
Once you arrive at Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel,
just follow the crowd!
The signs are also very clear.
If you follow others, you'll reach...
...the festival queue!
Foreigners need to enter after a separate passport check,
so you should stand in the rightmost line.
Even with a massive crowd,
entry was smooth and swift!
Oh, and one more thing, Zhuhai is a bit warm!!!!
It's a pleasant, mild climate.
I think they also mentioned that a photocopy of your passport + an ID card (like a Korean resident registration card) might be acceptable,
but this part needs reconfirmation.
I brought my actual passport just to be safe.
Don't lose it...!

Doesn't it have a similar vibe to Porter Robinson? 🥹
There are 2 stages,
On the first day, Saturday, Kygo is the closing DJ,
and on the second day, Sunday, John Summit is the closing DJ.
Gryffin, Porter Robinson, Gorgon City, etc., are on Saturday,
while Charlotte de Witte, Slander, etc., are DJing on Sunday.
3. Buying tickets for China VAC Festival Zhuhai

Since it's a Chinese festival, buying tickets might be a bit tricky, but let's give it a try!
There are two ways:
1) Trip.com
2) Damai app
You can buy VAC Festival tickets through these two channels.
Early bird tickets are currently all sold out,
The VAC 2026 ticket price is 1280 RMB for a 2-day pass (approximately ~$173).
And a 1-day pass costs around 750 RMB.
1) For VAC Festival tickets on Trip.com,
to purchase tickets,
you need to go to Instagram, find the official VAC page,
and follow the link provided there.
You MUST buy from the Hong Kong Trip.com link.
Do NOT buy from the Korean Trip.com link!!!!!
2) The second way is to purchase VAC Festival tickets
through an app called Damai!
A Chinese friend told me about it...
Just search for the app called 'Damai'.
Korean is not supported, so
you'll need to use a translation app by taking pictures as you go.
Search for VAC,
enter your passport number, and you can buy them!
For my purchase, I already had a Taobao account registered, so I authenticated with that and bought them.
All in all, buying through the Trip.com link is a bit
more convenient.

China VAC Festival Accommodation: Hotel Location Recommendations
The Zhuhai Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel is the festival venue,
and it's best to stay at a hotel in Zhuhai that's about 10-20 minutes away
from this hotel.
The Zhuhai Chimelong Circus Hotel right next door is also a good option,
And the accommodations below, located 10-15 minutes away,
aren't hotels but are cheaper and have even better facilities!

The Afterparty
Honestly, I'm writing this post primarily because of the VAC Festival afterparty.
Last year, I had no idea,
(and it seems other Chinese folks didn't know either!)
Wait,
there *was* a festival afterparty!!!!
I was genuinely so upset that I was the only one who didn't know,
Even when I asked the organizers,
I didn't get any replies regarding the afterparty.
So I asked on Xiaohongshu, and a few people replied.
A unique trait of Chinese people: they absolutely love secretly sharing information.
They always somehow find out information secretly before official announcements
and seem to really enjoy sharing it and showing off.
Well, with such a massive population,
I definitely feel there's a lot more information than in Korean communities.
While Chinese TikTok users far outnumber Xiaohongshu users,
Chinese TikTok tends to have many fleeting, useless short videos for passing time,
making it unhelpful and chaotic, so I don't watch it much.
Xiaohongshu, surprisingly, has a ton of incredibly useful tips!
China VAC Festival Afterparty
So, where is it located?
At first, I thought it was somewhere else, but
Oh, right!
It's inside the Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel.
There's no official afterparty announcement yet, but it seems it might be Sidepiece and Odd Mob...?
Last year's VAC Festival afterparty DJ was
Alok
was the artist.
Even if there's no info, I recommend going and waiting, and asking resale vendors.
I'll let you know as soon as I get more information on this.

at "Night See" in Zhuhai.

and you'll find it in Zhuhai!!
Chinese EDM festivals definitely have a certain wild charm.
Although there are alcohol restrictions, so you can't get totally wasted,
everyone else is in the same boat, so it's totally fine.
If anything, it feels cleaner and I actually prefer it!
(But interestingly, the locals in China say the opposite though! 😂
They complain that Chinese festivals have too many restrictions and are boring,
and that Korean festivals are much more fun...
I guess that's just human nature, getting bored of what's familiar, right? 😉)
Of course, it's not as fun as Thailand. Over there, it's a whole different level of freedom everywhere, if you know what I mean!
You can't even compare it to countries where people attend festivals 'in their right mind' to begin with, right?!
And honestly, for Chinese festivals, the after-parties are seriously more fun than the main festival itself!
So if you get the chance, definitely hit up the after-parties too!

The festival will take place for two days, from Saturday, April 18th to Sunday, April 19th, 2026. The venue is Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel in Zhuhai, China.
Kygo will perform as the closing DJ on Saturday, the first day, while John Summit will close on Sunday, the second day. Gryffin, Porter Robinson, and others will DJ on Saturday, and Charlotte de Witte, Slander, and others will DJ on Sunday.
Tickets can be purchased via Trip.com (use the Hong Kong Trip.com link) or the Damai app. A 2-day pass costs 1280 CNY (approximately ~$173), and a 1-day pass costs 750 CNY.
The 2026 after-party will be held at Night See in Zhuhai. Last year's VAC Festival after-party DJ was Alok.
Foreigners must present their passport for inspection upon entry and should stand in the far-right line. While a passport copy and a Korean ID card were mentioned as possibilities, it is safer to bring your physical passport.
