conveniently located in Hengqin, Zhuhai, China.
It's incredibly close to Zhuhai Ocean Kingdom,
and literally right next door to Macau!
With stunning views of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge and the sparkling ocean,
you can indulge in spacious, clean rooms within this brand-new 5-star hotel,
all for around ~$69.

The Intercity Zhuhai Hengqin Hotel is perfectly situated right next to Macau,
and its proximity to Zhuhai Hengqin Port makes getting to Macau a breeze!
The Zhuhai Intercity Hotel is also super close to Chimelong Ocean Kingdom (just 10 minutes away!) and offers a truly convenient base for exploring most of Zhuhai's tourist attractions.
. Plus, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge is right next to it, offering spectacular views that I absolutely loved.
I actually went there for the VAC Festival in China,
and it was incredibly close to the Zhuhai Hengqin Chimelong Hotel, where the VAC Festival was happening!
It was so, so close!!
Just about a 15-minute journey.
Whether you're visiting Zhuhai Ocean Kingdom, traveling with kids, or exploring solo,
this hotel comes highly recommended for everyone.
The neighborhood around the hotel is a bustling area filled with modern, new buildings,
a sort of 'new city' area of Zhuhai.
It boasts the advantage of being easy to get around from,
and the hotel's surroundings being incredibly clean was another big plus!
If I had to pinpoint a slight drawback, it's that you might need to drive a little further for dining options
— but then again,
since it's China, you can always order delivery! Plus, I heard the breakfast here is
quite good.
And for those easy-to-find meal options in Zhuhai,
they tend to be in the slightly older parts of the city,
meaning the surrounding views might not be as pristine..
I'd suggest dining at a great local restaurant and then heading back to the hotel,
or grabbing some delicious takeout.

The Intercity Zhuhai Hengqin Hotel, brand new and completed in 2025,
is an absolutely pristine new hotel,
and comes highly, highly recommended for anyone desiring a spotless and refreshing trip to China!
The Intercity Zhuhai Hotel, being
an InterContinental Hotels Group property,
boasts a sleek design with excellent space division,
and incredible ocean views from the window.
Every detail was simply satisfying!
((A Chinese hotel with absolutely no cigarette smoke smell... seriously, this is HUGE!))))))
Actually, the Zhuhai Intercity Hotel was
my destination during the China VAC Festival,
and let me tell you, the huge mirrors, the expansive room,
and the generous bathroom space made it a fantastic spot to
figure out my outfits for the festival.
I could easily spread out my suitcase, try on everything, and pick out the perfect stylish outfits... a true traveler's dream!
The rooms were impeccably clean and odor-free, and at the buffet restaurant, you can savor your meal while gazing at the breathtaking Macau skyline!
Head downstairs and across the road, and you'll find a delightful beach promenade – absolutely perfect for an evening stroll to digest after dinner!
The hotel's location is superb, not far from Chimelong, and you can see Macau right from there!
Plus, with a spacious 1.5-meter bed, reviews often highlight that it's perfect for families with children, even without an extra bed – how convenient is that?!
Initially, the room I booked seemed to be
the most basic room (Intercity Double Bed Room).
Perhaps because I'm a foreigner? Or maybe there were some empty rooms?
Perhaps because I greeted them in Chinese? Or because I frequently use Trip.com??
Anyway, I'm not sure why,
but when I entered, two entire walls were made of floor-to-ceiling glass,
boasting a fantastic view that blended city views with Zhuhai's ocean views,
and it seemed like I had been upgraded to a Deluxe Suite.
(I only realized this while writing now...)
The Zhuhai Intercity Hotel (Deluxe Suite room) boasts a spacious 43㎡,
and despite being a suite, it offers incredible value for money at only ~$69-~$97...
As soon as you enter the Intercity Zhuhai Hotel,
you're greeted by a super spacious closet area, right next to a generous vanity space,
and the shower room
and the toilet area on the side are all neatly separated.
And in front of the vanity at the Zhuhai Intercity Hotel,
there's a huge mirror,
and right in front of the closet area, there's a full-length mirror,
making it super convenient to
do a quick 'appearance check' before heading out.
Seriously, places without full-length mirrors are just... a bit of a letdown.
Oh, and the room slippers were incredibly plush.
There's also a window next to the vanity,
which you can open to let in bright natural light,
and the ability to close the curtains was convenient too.
The Intercity Zhuhai Hengqin Hotel bed is super big too,
with floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides, offering both ocean and city views.
And you can close the curtains if you want,
and there's a large TV in the middle, making it comfortable to watch from bed.
There's also a marble dining table and comfortable chairs,
basically, everything you could need was there, which was great.
It's not an overly extravagant interior, but the clean and
crisp design, fitting for a 5-star hotel, felt really good.
And for a Chinese city outside of Shanghai,
this was (almost))) the first time I'd experienced a complimentary hotel mini-bar ㅠ _ㅠ
There weren't any snacks like chips,
but there was beer + several soft drinks + water,
and uniquely, what looked like ingredients for making cocktails??????
There were even glasses for it.
And the kettle for boiling water at the Intercity Zhuhai Hotel was a De'Longhi.
The cups looked quite stylish too,
and the interior seemed to be well-coordinated in terms of tone.
I used this to brew coffee on my last morning in Zhuhai to reduce facial puffiness.
Oh, and of course, coffee and tea-making facilities were provided in the hotel room (so obvious I almost didn't mention it).
Is that Macau Tower visible from there?
Anyway, the Intercity Zhuhai Hotel is right next to Macau, so the location is genuinely fantastic.
Next to the bed, there was an elegantly placed Chinese book... that I couldn't read.
And there's a charging outlet by the bedside where you can charge your phone and use electricity.
While you can generally use Korean 220v chargers in most places in China,
at this hotel, you can't plug in a 220v charger directly.
Instead, you'll need to use the USB or C-type ports
to charge your phone.
Many good hotels recently built in China are equipped with these USB and C-type ports,
so I recommend
bringing a phone charger that has both a 220v plug and a C-type connector.

Honestly, it looks even better in person than in the photos!
With a wide bed and ample space,
it's perfect for families with children
or even couples.
(Just kidding, not crying!)))))

The Intercity Zhuhai Hengqin Hotel boasts
a fitness center, a breakfast area with an amazing view,
and an executive lounge, bar, and cafe on the first floor.
The check-in area on the first floor is also clean and beautiful.
They even offered a welcome tea during check-in!
And at the Intercity Zhuhai Hengqin Hotel,
they thoughtfully gave us these cookies as a check-out gift! What a delightful surprise! !!!!
It's a bit funny that a hotel in Zhuhai, China, gives Macau cookies, but
we certainly enjoyed them!
