is Super Nintendo World!🍄
It's a place where you can actually walk through a space that feels like you've stepped right into a Mario game,
so even if you're not a huge Nintendo fan,
you'll still have a blast exploring.
🎟️ Universal Studios Japan Ticket Types
USJ tickets can broadly be categorized into two main types:
admission tickets and Express Passes.
① Studio Pass = Basic Admission Ticket
This is the fundamental ticket required to enter USJ.
✔️ Available as 1-Day, 1.5-Day, or 2-Day passes.
Also, the price of USJ admission tickets varies depending on the date.
It operates on a variable pricing system, with prices categorized into A/B/C/D/E based on peak/off-peak seasons and days of the week.
So, once you've set your travel dates,
make sure to check the ticket price for that specific date first!!
② Express Pass = Optional
An Express Pass is an additional pass purchased separately from your admission ticket.
Popular options include the Express Pass 4 and Express Pass 7, which allow you to enjoy designated popular attractions much faster than the regular queue.
However, beware that each type of Express Pass includes different attractions, has varying entry conditions for Nintendo World, and specific usage times.
So, don't just buy based on price alone!
It's crucial to confirm if the rides you really want to experience are included!!!

🍄 Essential Info for Visiting Nintendo World!
One of the most frequently asked questions about USJ
is how to enter Super Nintendo World.
Because the number of visitors allowed into Nintendo World can be limited,
you might need a Timed Entry Ticket or a Guaranteed Entry Ticket!
If you have a Guaranteed Entry Ticket?
If you purchase a product that includes a Super Nintendo World Guaranteed Entry Ticket (such as with certain admission tickets or Express Passes),
you can enter at your designated time.
If you don't have a Guaranteed Entry Ticket?
After entering USJ, get a Timed Entry Ticket through the official app!
(You can only do this after entering the theme park.)
3. Universal Studios Japan Tips
① Install the Official App in Advance
Installing the official USJ app before your visit and pre-registering your admission ticket QR code will make your experience much smoother on site.
You'll also need it to check attraction wait times and to get your Nintendo World Timed Entry Ticket!
② Aim for an 'Open Run' (Arrive Early)!
The time you enter USJ can significantly impact your day.
If you want to experience the most popular attractions and Nintendo World,
I highly recommend arriving as early as possible!
It's a great strategy to hit the popular attractions first thing in the morning,
and then enjoy shows, meals, or shopping in the afternoon.
③ Choose Your Express Pass According to Your Itinerary
Express Pass 4 isn't necessarily better, and neither is Express Pass 7.
It's important to first decide which rides you absolutely want to go on,
and then choose the product that includes those specific attractions.
Especially if you're determined to visit Nintendo World,
make sure to double-check if the Guaranteed Entry Ticket is included!
If I were to go again,
Rushing in at opening → Popular attractions → Nintendo World →
Harry Potter → Remaining attractions
This is likely the priority order I'd set.
④ Avoid Peak Meal Times
If you're planning to eat inside USJ,
moving around so it doesn't overlap with lunchtime is also a golden tip!
⑤ Prepare for Summer Heat
If you're traveling to Osaka in summer, the sunlight is EXTREMELY strong,
and it can suddenly rain,
so I recommend bringing things like:
a sun/rain umbrella / sunscreen / water / raincoat.
When I went in the middle of summer,
the sun was so bright I couldn't even open my eyes..! ㅠ
4. Review
While it's a schedule that requires almost a whole day's investment,
it was definitely a place worth visiting at least once on an Osaka trip!
It was like going back to my childhood~~~
The world of Mario that I only saw in games
felt like it was actually brought to life,
so I was excited from the moment I entered.
Especially being able to directly experience missions throughout with the Power-Up Band
made it even more fun! Haha.
It's not just a place to ride attractions;
the atmosphere in each theme zone was completely different,
making taking photos and sightseeing enjoyable,
and with sights like shows, I completely lost track of time.
There are many cute character-themed menu items,
so you can enjoy choosing not just meals but also snacks,
so make sure to try a variety of foods~!
