2. My Review of Riding All 3 Nintendo World Attractions

Nintendo World features three exciting attractions.

The Mario Kart ride, where you control your own kart and shoot at targets.

The kid-friendly coaster where you can enjoy views of Nintendo World from above,

the children's coaster Yoshi's Adventure

And finally, the newest attraction and the most popular roller coaster at Universal Studios Japan,

Donkey Kong's Crazy Tram Car! ✨

If you could only ride one of them?

I'd wholeheartedly recommend Donkey Kong's Crazy Tram Car!

Honestly~!

Donkey Kong's was actually the most fun

attraction at Universal Studios Japan for me. +__+ zzz 👍

I'll leave detailed ride reviews for each attraction below.

1️⃣ Mario Kart: Koopa's Challenge

For Mario Kart, when we visited on a Saturday afternoon,

the waiting time was 70 minutes.

Honestly, with Mario Kart, it wasn't so much about the attraction itself

but rather the path from the entrance to before boarding

was so well decorated, just like being inside the game,

that exploring it was even more fun! LOL

It truly felt like I was a part of the game world!

Once you get to the boarding area, they give you a 3D visor.

When you look at the screen while wearing the visor,

you'll see targets popping up everywhere,

and you just control the joystick to take down enemies.

Make sure to tighten the visor securely.

Mine kept slipping down, which gave me quite a scare! LOL

Overall, it wasn't particularly thrilling. LOL

It's definitely an attraction that Mario fans will adore.

2️⃣ Yoshi's Adventure

On a Saturday afternoon, the waiting time was approximately 40 minutes,

but the line actually moves quite quickly,

so there are many reviews saying they waited about 10 minutes less than expected.

It's a slow-paced coaster, perfect for children.

For those who love cute things,

Yoshi's Adventure might even be more enjoyable! LOL

My legs and back were quite sore,

so it was a perfect ride for a relaxing break.

It was great to get a bird's-eye view of Nintendo World as we went around,

but also,

the game-like scenery you can only see from the coaster,

especially the cartoonish trees and plants, was really fun.

3️⃣ Donkey Kong's Crazy Tram Car

Finally, the newest ride that opened in December 2024,

Donkey Kong's Crazy Tram Car !

Since it's brand new, the interior themes were cute and worth seeing.

Especially with Donkey Kong characters walking around in person,

it felt even more special.

For Donkey Kong, on a Saturday afternoon, the wait was a whopping 170 minutes,

making it the longest wait among all the attractions we rode that day.

Therefore, for those planning to buy Universal Express tickets,

make sure to purchase a ticket that includes Donkey Kong.

While Donkey Kong isn't an incredibly thrilling rollercoaster,

it's still quite a thrilling one.

Even if you're afraid of heights, you can ride this!

As you speed along, you'll see what looks like broken wooden rails,

and that's the thrilling charm of it all, haha!

It was so much fun, I could have ridden it two or three more times.

It was definitely the best attraction of the day. 😊

So, that concludes my review of the three rides I experienced.

Even if you have a Universal Studios admission ticket,

you'll need a separate Super Nintendo World admission ticket to enter.

3. Three Ways to Get a Super Nintendo World Admission Ticket

I've summarized three ways to get your Super Nintendo World admission ticket.

1. Paid: Advance Purchase = Timed Entry Ticket

These are often sold bundled with a Kansai Pass.

Recommended for those who don't plan to buy an Express Pass.

Method ➋ ) Purchase an Express Pass that includes a Super Nintendo World Timed Entry Ticket

If your Express Pass includes even one of the three Super Nintendo World attractions,

then it's an Express Pass with a Super Nintendo World Timed Entry Ticket.

I purchased the DPA7 and entered all three Nintendo attractions quickly with DPA. Haha!

2. Free: Issued on the day of your visit via the app = Standby Pass

Method ➌ ) Do an 'open run' at Universal Studios Japan, then

get a Standby Pass on a first-come, first-served basis via the official USJ app after entering the park.

* Procedure: Register your admission ticket QR in the app → After entering the park,

immediately launch the app → Access the e-Standby Pass menu →

Select Super Nintendo World → Get a Standby Pass for your desired time slot.

While USJ's official opening hours are usually around 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM,

due to large crowds, they often open their gates around 7:15 AM - 7:30 AM.

Therefore, to secure a Standby Pass, you'll need to arrive between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM. 😭

I opted for a Standard Studio Admission Ticket + Express Pass 7,

and I have no regrets. Haha!
