For my recent adventure to Osaka, I flew with T'way Air, departing from Incheon International Airport (ICN) and arriving at Osaka Kansai International Airport (KIX).
Osaka is a super popular and easily accessible destination in Japan, which means there are plenty of flight options. For this trip, T'way Air fit perfectly with my schedule!
What made this journey extra interesting was that I bought a new suitcase through an online duty-free shop and got to try out T'way Air's unique Gate Bag service. I'm excited to share all the details in this post! 🧡

1. Incheon - Osaka Flights
Osaka is fantastic for a quick getaway, so finding the right flight times is key. I opted for an early morning T'way Air flight to align with my itinerary!

Flights to Osaka can vary quite a bit in price depending on the date and time, so if your itinerary is set, it's a good idea to compare options in advance!
2. T'way Air Gate Bag Service
I boarded my T'way Air flight from Incheon International Airport Terminal 1. To catch my 7:55 AM flight, I arrived three hours early, at 4:55 AM!
Since fewer departure gates operate in the early morning, security lines can be incredibly long. That's why I highly recommend using the Incheon Airport Smart Pass to save time!
We needed a 28-inch suitcase, so we found a Samsonite one at an online duty-free shop for an incredible deal, around ~$69! It was such a steal.
Since the 28-inch suitcase we bought was too large to bring as carry-on luggage, we decided to use the Gate Bag service to check it in.
After picking up the suitcase at the airport duty-free store, we paid an additional ~$14 at the boarding gate to check it as hold luggage. Super convenient!

My particular flight ticket included 33 lbs of checked baggage (Smart Fare). If you're on an event fare without checked baggage included, I recommend calling T'way Air directly to confirm the gate bag service rules and costs!

The aircraft we boarded was an Airbus A330-300, featuring a comfortable 2-4-2 seating arrangement in Economy Class.
The seats were quite comfortable and offered ample space for an average-sized person, so I experienced virtually no discomfort during the flight!

Kansai Airport is fully equipped with everything from souvenir shops and convenience stores to restaurants, making it easy to grab a quick bite before your flight!
The return flight was on an Airbus A330-200, which also had the same 2-4-2 seating configuration.
Since I checked in early for my return flight, I was lucky enough to be assigned an emergency exit row seat, which made the journey back incredibly comfortable!
