Tsutenkaku Tower Slide Osaka 2026: Tickets & Passes
Ready for an exhilarating ride? Discover the Tsutenkaku Tower Slide in Osaka! Get tips on booking tickets, comparing passes, and what to expect for this unique attraction in Shinsekai.

If you're heading to Osaka these days, there's one thrilling activity everyone's talking about: the Tsutenkaku Tower Slide!
I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of heights, so I was a little nervous at first. But once I got there, I realized it's so much fun and not scary at all – even little kids were zipping down with ease!

The Tsutenkaku Tower Slide is a unique experience that starts on the 3rd floor of the Tsutenkaku Tower and spirals you down to the B1 (basement) level.
It's approximately 200 feet (60 meters) long and takes about 10 seconds to descend. It sounds quick, but it's surprisingly exhilarating and a total blast!
Location

You'll find the slide inside the Tsutenkaku Tower, located in Osaka's vibrant Shinsekai district.
It's just a 3-minute walk from Ebisucho Station, and the area is packed with fantastic kushikatsu restaurants. It's perfect for combining your slide adventure with a delicious lunch or dinner!

Operating hours are from 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Keep in mind that operations might be suspended due to weather conditions or facility maintenance, so it's always a good idea to double-check on the day of your visit.
Ticket Prices & Booking

If you've booked in advance, head to counter A; for on-site purchases, go to counter B.
A single admission ticket costs 1,100 JPY, which is approximately ~$8 USD.

My first attempt to purchase a ticket on-site was a bust – all time slots for the day were completely sold out! I ended up booking my ticket online for the next day and returning.
📌Tsutenkaku Tower Slide Ticket Comparison
Single Admission | Osaka Amazing Pass | Joy Pass |
~$7 USD | ~$21 USD | ~$19 USD |
Booking online isn't just cheaper than buying on-site; it also helps you avoid the disappointment of a sold-out day, so I highly recommend reserving your spot in advance!
The slide is also included with the Osaka Amazing Pass and the Joy Pass. If you're planning to visit multiple attractions within Osaka city, the Osaka Amazing Pass is your best bet. If your itinerary includes day trips to nearby areas like Kyoto, then the Joy Pass offers better value.
My Slide Experience

Before your ride, you'll store your belongings in a locker, put on a helmet, and wait your turn upstairs.
I went around 6:00 PM on a weekday and waited about 20 minutes before it was my turn to slide.
Taking photos or videos during the ride is prohibited, but don't worry – the attraction provides a video of your descent that you can get afterwards!
Everyone ahead of me was screaming on the way down, and while there's definitely a section where you pick up speed, I honestly didn't find it scary at all. Just pure fun!

After about 10 seconds, you'll reach the bottom and can grab your video via a QR code. It's a short ride compared to the wait, but totally worth it for the laughs!
So, rather than making a special trip just for the slide, I highly recommend checking it out if you're already planning to explore the Shinsekai area and Tsutenkaku Tower during your Osaka trip!
