Toyoko Inn Osaka Namba Review 2026: Budget-Friendly Stay

For my most recent Osaka adventure, I discovered an incredible value hotel that's a game-changer for budget-conscious travelers: the Toyoko Inn Osaka Namba. Located just a 2-minute walk from Namba Station, this gem offers free breakfast and rooms starting around ~$66 a night!

If location and affordability are your top priorities, you're going to love this place. Let me share my experience in a double room!

Location, Location, Location!

The Toyoko Inn Osaka Namba boasts an unbeatable location: it's literally a 1-minute walk from Osaka-Namba Station and a 2-minute walk from Namba Station. This makes airport transfers a breeze and puts you right in the heart of the action, incredibly close to the vibrant Dotonbori district.

With countless convenience stores and amazing restaurants nearby, it's an ideal base, especially if it's your first time exploring Osaka.

Your Budget-Friendly Osaka Namba Hotel

I opted for the Double Room, which is typically the most economical option at Toyoko Inn hotels. If you prefer a bit more space to stretch out, I'd recommend upgrading to a Queen or Twin room.

While these might be slightly pricier, they still fall comfortably into the budget range, often starting around ~$73, so it won't break the bank!

Even though it's a Double Room, the bed was comfortable and not cramped, and the desk was spacious enough for me to comfortably get some laptop work done.

One of the biggest perks of Toyoko Inn Osaka Namba is its complimentary breakfast!

It's served from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM, and I heard it's surprisingly good for a free offering. Unfortunately, I had an early Universal Studios Japan schedule and missed out, but it's definitely a fantastic bonus!

If you open your suitcase in the corridor area, space can get a little snug, but it's still manageable to walk past to the bathroom. Considering the prime location, great room condition, and the price point around ~$70-~$80, it's a minor trade-off!

The bathroom was equipped with a bidet and felt well-maintained and clean.

The bathroom provides shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a toothbrush, and toothpaste. For other essentials like combs, skin lotion, cotton swabs, and even pajamas, you can conveniently pick them up in the hotel lobby.

Hotel Amenities and Facilities

The lobby at Toyoko Inn Osaka Namba is quite spacious with plenty of seating areas, perfect for relaxing. They even offer complimentary coffee and other beverages, which is a lovely touch!

You'll find all the essentials here, including washing machines and dryers, a microwave, ice dispenser, and a water cooler – everything you might need for a longer stay or simply to refresh your clothes on the go.

For added convenience, you can store your luggage before check-in or after check-out. No need to bother the staff; simply use the self-service lockers!

Being so close to the station made it incredibly easy to get to Universal Studios Japan the next day and explore Dotonbori in the evenings.

Hotels in the Namba area can often be quite pricey, but this one truly delivers on value for money, making it an excellent choice without breaking your budget.

Japanese hotels tend to get more expensive as your travel date approaches, so I highly recommend booking early to secure the best rates!
