No matter where my travels take me,
finding the perfect "accommodation" is always my top priority.
As someone who is notoriously picky about where I stay,
today I'm going to share my honest reviews
of hotels with a Tokyo Tower view that I've actually stayed in.
From budget-friendly stays to 5-star luxury,
I've experienced a wide range of price points across Tokyo.
I'll be sharing my real, unfiltered experiences,
so if you're hunting for that iconic Tokyo Tower view,
you can choose the perfect spot that fits your budget and style! 🎶
1. Remm Roppongi
If you've ever searched for an affordable hotel with a view of Tokyo Tower,
chances are you've heard of this place at least once.
It's the famous "Remm Roppongi."
Located just a quick 5-minute walk from Roppongi Station,
and priced reasonably around ~$115 per night,
it's widely celebrated as a high-value Tokyo Tower view hotel.
It's incredibly popular among international travelers!
I fell in love with the stunning views of Remm Roppongi on Instagram,
and immediately booked it for my year-end trip.
H O W E V E R,
spoiler alert: I completely failed to get the Tokyo Tower view.
I only realized after booking
that you can only enjoy that spectacular scenery
if you book a room specifically labeled "Tower View"...
Once I figured it out, I scrambled to contact the hotel to switch rooms,
but I was told those specific rooms were already fully booked.
So, I ended up being that person who got stuck in a standard room... oops!
Even though I didn't get the room with the epic view,
the general layout and amenities are practically identical.
So, if you're curious about the basic facilities and room conditions,
my review should still be super helpful!
Since it's a 3-star budget-friendly hotel around ~$115,
I didn't have high expectations for the room size,
but honestly, my first thought was definitely, "Wow, this is tiny."
A double bed alone seems to fill the entire space,
and when you add the desk and the massage chair
they thoughtfully(?) provided for guests...
it becomes undeniably cramped. 😭
Plus, the fact that it has carpeted floors but is difficult to ventilate
remained a lingering downside for me.
That being said, the bed was a decent size,
and both the bedding and the room itself were immaculately clean.
Aside from feeling a bit claustrophobic during my one-night stay,
I didn't have any major complaints about the property.
The bathroom and shower were also spotless,
making freshening up very comfortable.
Just a heads-up: only shampoo and conditioner are in the room.
All other amenities are available in the lobby,
so you can just grab what you need when you check in.
Even though I missed out on the room
with the direct Tokyo Tower view,
it was still a solid choice overall in terms of location and cleanliness.
Keep in mind that during peak seasons like the holidays,
even the standard rooms can get quite pricey.
If you're planning a trip during busy times,
I highly recommend booking well in advance.

If the view rooms are too expensive or fully booked,
you can still catch glimpses of the tower
just walking to and from the hotel,
so staying in a standard room isn't a bad compromise! 💖
2. Oakwood Hotel & Apartment Azabu
The second Tokyo stay on my list
isn't as widely known among tourists yet,
making it my personal little hidden gem! 💖
It's exceptionally pet-friendly,
so whenever we travel to Tokyo with our dog,
this spot is always at the top of our list!
Located about 3 minutes from Azabu-Juban Station,
Oakwood Apartment Azabu operates as
a hybrid hotel and serviced apartment,
making it incredibly popular for long-term stays.
Every room comes equipped with a kitchenette and a washer,
which is absolutely perfect for business travelers
or anyone planning an extended vacation.
We stayed in their most basic twin room,
which was admittedly on the smaller side.
However, it was perfectly fine for a short 1-2 day trip.
If you prefer more space to stretch out,
I'd recommend upgrading to a higher room category.
The best part? Every room has a balcony
where you can soak in this gorgeous Tokyo Tower view.
When you're mostly just sleeping there, who cares if it's a bit snug?! Haha.

Since it's tucked away from bustling areas like Shibuya or Shinjuku,
the neighborhood is much quieter,
making it an ideal retreat for a peaceful stay.
If you prefer a laid-back, local vibe over the neon lights,
I highly recommend spending a few nights here.
3. Tokyo the Edition, Toranomon
The final spot on my list is
the ultra-luxurious 5-star "The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon."
With room rates hovering around ~$769 per night,
it offers immaculate facilities and world-class service.
It truly feels worth every penny,
though the steep price tag makes it a bit hard
to casually recommend to everyone! 😂
Still, walking into that spacious, pristine room
instantly elevated my mood and made the end
of my trip feel incredibly special.
(Mental note: Work hard so I can stay in places like this all the time! Hehe.)
And just look at the Tokyo Tower view from the room! 💜
For context, our room had
more of a side-angle view of the tower.
There might be other room types that offer
a dead-center view like at Remm Roppongi,
but honestly, just sitting on the sofa near the window
gave us such a fantastic vantage point
that I didn't feel the need to hunt down a specific room type.

If dropping over ~$769 a night is a bit too harsh on the wallet,
booking an afternoon tea at their lounge
is an amazing alternative way to enjoy the tower.
It's actually a massive trend right now among young professionals in Tokyo
to dress up and enjoy the afternoon tea set
while taking in the views from the EDITION's lobby.
It's a fantastic way to experience the luxury without the overnight cost.
Just a heads-up: the seats with a direct, unobstructed view
of Tokyo Tower are usually reserved for guests ordering specific packages
(like the champagne set). So if you have your heart set on those seats,
make sure to inquire and request them when you book!
Book The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon
Since the tower is the ultimate landmark of Japan,
spending at least one night of your itinerary
in a hotel where you can admire it from your bed
is an experience you won't regret.
Today, I shared a variety of options
from budget Tokyo stays to 5-star luxury resorts.
I hope this helps you find the perfect match for your budget and style,
and that you have an unforgettable time in Tokyo!
