2. Shinkansen Booking Method & Find the Best Deals
Out of the three options, I chose the Shinkansen for its speed and convenience on my journey from Tokyo to Osaka.

Once you're on the booking site, simply select 'Nozomi' and 'Standard Seat,' then choose your desired date and time. After payment, you'll receive a QR code, usually via email.
This QR code is all you need! When boarding at Tokyo Station, just scan it at the ticket gate. There's no need for a physical ticket, which makes the whole process incredibly convenient and hassle-free.

Want to catch a glimpse of the iconic Mount Fuji during your ride? Make sure to select an E seat when booking! These seats offer the best window views of Japan's majestic peak as you speed past.

3. My Shinkansen Experience & Mount Fuji View Seats
After scanning my QR code at the ticket gate, I received a small receipt-like ticket. This is important! While you don't need a physical ticket to board, a conductor might check this receipt during the journey, so make sure to keep it handy and don't throw it away!
Before entering the main carriage, I found dedicated luggage storage areas, which were incredibly convenient for larger suitcases. There are also restrooms available, making the journey comfortable.
The seating on the Shinkansen is surprisingly spacious. Even with my carry-on at my feet, there was plenty of legroom, ensuring a comfortable ride.
One of the best perks was the free Wi-Fi onboard! This allowed me to catch up on work, stream a movie on Netflix, or simply browse the web, making the journey between cities fly by without a moment of boredom.
To see Mount Fuji, remember to sit in an E seat. Approximately 30 minutes after departing Tokyo, open your window shade, and you'll be treated to this absolutely stunning view!
