When choosing where to stay in Hong Kong,
if it's nice, it's way too expensive,
and if it's budget-friendly, the outdated facilities can be a real headache.
I also had a tough time choosing,
✔ but I chose The Hari Hong Kong because it's brand new, relatively spacious for Hong Kong, reasonably priced, and in a fantastic location!
These key perks totally won me over.

The Hari Hong Kong Exterior
330 Lockhart Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong

The Hari Hong Kong is located about 360m from the station,
and it's super close to Wan Chai Station, making it the perfect base for exploring the city.

Once you step out of the building and walk just a short distance, you're right on the main street.
Major shopping hubs like W Square and Causeway Bay,
as well as local hotspots
like Yee Shun Milk Company and famous spicy crab restaurants, are all within walking distance!

As you step through the cozy ground floor entrance,
it feels like entering a whole new world,
and the staff greets and guides you warmly.
There's also a small seating area, which is super handy when waiting for a taxi.
Check-in: 1F Reception
1F, Available from 3:00 PM

Head up to the 1st floor reception for check-in.
There is a bar and restaurant on the 1st and 2nd floors, and a gym on the 3rd floor.
True to the hotel's modern-classic British vibe,
you'll spot a cute fedora-wearing gentleman character
even inside the elevator.

The 1st floor also has a wonderfully exotic atmosphere,
with plenty of guests enjoying cocktails and chatting.
I've never even been to the UK, but I imagine it feels just like this...!

It looked like it also serves as the breakfast area in the morning.
The hotel staff's English is absolutely flawless,
so check-in was a breeze without any worries!

The Hari Hong Kong offers
guest rooms from the 9th to the 30th floor.
Standard King Room
25㎡, Non-smoking

There's something so exciting about seeing this welcome screen.
The TV provides details on amenities, news, fitness, dining, and billing,
and since it's a modern hotel, screen mirroring is supported,
making it perfect for catching up on YouTube.

The Standard King Room at The Hari Hong Kong is 25㎡.
While it's not massive,
compared to the average hotel room size in Hong Kong,
the cleanliness and brand-new facilities were a massive plus.
The bed quality was also top-notch!
I slept like a baby every single night...

Even though the room looks cozy,
everything is laid out so efficiently—with a wardrobe, mini luggage rack, shelves, sofa, coffee machine, and two bottles of water—
that I barely felt like anything was missing.
(There's no bathtub, but that's pretty standard around here anyway, haha).

In particular, this cozy sofa and mini table
were super useful for relaxing or having a quick snack.

As expected from a modern hotel, you can control everything right from the bedside switches.
And despite Hong Kong's hot and humid weather,
the air conditioning runs so perfectly that you don't have to worry about humidity at all in the room!
It was delightfully cool and crisp!

Since we happened to be celebrating our 2nd anniversary during this trip,
I requested an anniversary setup in advance,
and they prepared such cute balloons, a celebration cake, and a sweet card!
It absolutely made our day :)

A blueberry cheesecake topped with massive blueberries
was presented beautifully like a gift box—it was such a lovely touch :)

The quality of their celebration service was truly memorable!

Standard amenities included two bottles of water,
along with coffee capsules, creamer, and premium TWG tea.
An electric kettle, water cups, and tea sets are also provided.

Surprisingly, there are quite a few hotels in Hong Kong without mini-fridges,
but The Hari Hong Kong comes equipped with a small fridge and an in-room safe.

The bathrobes and slippers
were also great quality.
The Bathroom

The bathroom and toilet are separated from the bedroom
by a sleek glass door,
making the space feel wonderfully partitioned.

With the vanity at the center,
there are separate cabins for the shower and the toilet,
making it super convenient for two people to get ready at the same time.

The vanity comes stocked with toiletries and a hair dryer.
The hand wash and body lotion are the hotel's signature line, and they smell absolutely amazing.

The shower features both a rain shower head and a handheld wand,
and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are also custom-branded by The Hari Hong Kong.
The shower booth is spacious enough for a comfortable experience,
and the water pressure is fantastic.
As expected of a modern hotel, it's impeccably maintained—not a single water spot or speck of mold to be found.

Another detail that deeply touched us, alongside the anniversary surprise!
On our final night, along with the turndown service,
they left a cute little card showing the weather forecast for our check-out day.
As an 'F' (feeling) personality type, I absolutely live for these sweet little details...!
The Room View

This is the view from the most standard room category, the Standard King!
Don't you think this qualifies as a pretty decent river + city view?!
Since it's not marketed as a harbor/river-view hotel, I had zero expectations,
but the towering skyscrapers gave us major Hong Kong vibes,
and we could even catch a tiny glimpse of the water, which was lovely.
Maybe because I loved the overall vibe of this hotel so much,
everything just felt perfect... haha.

Our 4-night stay at
The Hari Hong Kong was absolutely flawless!
Impeccable 5-star service, pristine cleanliness, a cozy yet modern atmosphere,
and reasonable pricing—The Hari Hong Kong has it all!
It doesn't seem to be widely known among global travelers just yet.
While I'd hate for it to become too crowded, I would 100% stay here again!
I highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Hong Kong!
