Auberge Discovery Bay is a hotel
located in Discovery Bay on Lantau Island.
It's located right in the middle of Hong Kong Airport and Disneyland,
so it takes about 20 minutes by car to the airport
and also about 20 minutes to Disneyland.
But I think what you'll be most curious about
is the Disneyland shuttle bus.
I initially thought the shuttle only ran in the morning,
but when I arrived at the hotel, I found there was a return service too.
You need to book the shuttle bus in advance when you check in.
If you want to be at Disneyland for opening, book the 9 AM shuttle.
If you prefer a more leisurely start, you can book the 10 AM shuttle.
I didn't feel the need to go too early,
so I booked the 10 AM shuttle.
However, I recommend booking in advance
as the shuttle bus can sometimes be fully booked.
For the return trip from Disneyland,
there are two times: 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM. But as you know,
Disneyland has fireworks at closing time.
If you watch the fireworks and then leave,
using the shuttle bus is practically impossible.
I also planned to watch the fireworks, so
I didn't book the shuttle and took a taxi back.
Also, if no one has booked the return shuttle, they might not operate it at all, so if you plan to use it, make sure to book in advance.
In addition to the Disneyland shuttle,
there are also shuttles to Sunny Bay MTR Station, Tung Chung Station,
and West Kowloon Station.
There were more routes than I expected,
but the timings weren't very diverse.
All shuttle buses can be boarded at the hotel's main entrance.
I recommend booking your Disneyland tickets online
rather than buying them at the gate.
It was cheaper than buying on-site,
and entry with a QR code was much more convenient.
I've linked two sites I recommend below~!

Room Interior
I was assigned room 501,
which was the very last room down the hallway.
I booked a mountain view, but I could also see a bit of the sea,
and the view was better than I expected.
I thought the night view would be beautiful with lights on at night,
but unfortunately, there were no lights.
Interestingly, two cans of mineral water were provided,
and there was nothing else in the refrigerator.
Shower gown, iron and safe, extra pillows,
Long umbrellas were even provided,
and it actually rained, so we made good use of them! ^^
While there weren't any extraordinary facilities, it was clean overall,
and having a sofa was a nice touch.
I particularly loved the bathtub in the bathroom.
It was incredibly spacious, so after checking in,
while my friend went out to explore,
I thoroughly enjoyed a half-body bath all by myself.
For families traveling to Disneyland,
the bathroom in this resort is so huge that
you could even fill up the tub and let the kids splash around and play.
Amenities
(Pool, Fitness Center, Laundry Room, Kids' Room)
The laundry room is located to the right after exiting the hotel's main entrance,
and dry-cleaning services are also available.
On the 2nd floor, you'll find the swimming pool, gym, and kids' room all together.
The swimming pool operates from 8 AM to 10 PM,
with two designated break (cleaning) times: 11:30 AM to 1 PM
and 6 PM to 7:30 PM.
I had planned to check out the pool,
but on that particular day, it was so windy they had to close it,
so I ended up not even getting to see it.
If you head down the hallway next to the pool, you'll find the GYM and Kids' Room, but you need to tap your key card to enter.
Even the lobby restrooms required a room key for access, which was interesting.
The Activity Room (Kids' Room) operates
from 9 AM to 12:30 PM
and from 2:30 PM to 10 PM.
The Kids' Room was actually quite well-decorated,
and the ocean view stretching out from the panoramic windows was simply stunning.
The gym is accessible by passing through the Kids' Room,
and towels and a water dispenser were provided there.
While there wasn't a staff member always present,
it was a well-equipped gym,
and with that ocean view, I imagined it would be quite motivating to work out there!
Around the Hotel
Around the hotel, there were quite a few restaurants, more than I expected,
including even Korean restaurants,
and there was also a supermarket where we could grab some snacks.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served from 7 AM to 11 AM.
To get straight to the point, it wasn't bad at all!
Just show your room key at the entrance,
and after verification, they'll guide you to a table.
The spread was quite diverse, featuring salads, fruits, bread, congee, dim sum, pho, sausages,
scrambled eggs, and more, and the taste was generally good.
Final Thoughts & Who It's For
I imagine most people staying at this hotel are doing so
to visit Disneyland.
By public transportation, you can't get directly from the hotel to Disneyland;
you'll need to transfer, and it takes at least 40 minutes.
I definitely recommend comparing prices for accommodation on different sites
and booking through the one that offers a better deal.
