Let's quickly dive into how to get there, booking tips, and the incredible themes you'll encounter.
How to Get to TeamLab Planets Tokyo
📍 TeamLab Planets Tokyo
6 Chome-1-16 Toyosu, Koto City, Tokyo 135-0061 Japan
TeamLab Planets is located in the vibrant Odaiba district. As the map shows, the easiest way to get there is by taking the train to Shintoyosu Station. Keep in mind that this station is on the Yurikamome Line, which isn't covered by the standard Tokyo Metro Pass. You can transfer from Toyosu Station (which is on the Metro line) using a Suica or Pasmo card for the short ride, or enjoy a pleasant 10-minute walk if you prefer.
Must-Visit Attraction in Tokyo

Given its immense popularity, you can expect a crowd. When I visited, showing my pre-booked voucher at the information center allowed me to bypass the main queue and follow the arrow straight inside. Booking ahead truly saves a lot of time! Even if you arrive without a voucher, you can usually purchase one on the spot, and it will be issued immediately.
After a brief introduction, it's time to step inside. You might hear about water reaching knee-height in some areas, but from my experience, it was closer to calf-height. Don't worry, rental shorts are available if you need them, and you'll store your shoes in lockers before entering.

Your journey begins barefoot, walking up a gentle slope through flowing water. This immediate sensory immersion sets a unique tone, unlike any other exhibition. At the top, you'll find towels to dry off and a seating area before the main adventure truly begins.

Inside, you'll discover a series of distinct themed rooms. Even the pathways between these rooms are art installations themselves, ensuring there's never a dull moment.

One mesmerizing space features mirrors on the floor, ceiling, and walls, creating an infinitely reflective, mysterious environment. There's also a room filled with soft cushions that kids absolutely adore. TeamLab Planets truly sets itself apart as a top Tokyo destination.

This vast space is entirely filled with water, where digital flower petals and fish swim and bloom, responding to your presence. You'll see children gleefully chasing the fish, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.

Alongside the water-filled room, the space brimming with giant, buoyant spheres is another massive hit. It's incredibly fun to push and interact with them.

Among all the incredible installations, the most popular and perhaps what truly defines TeamLab Planets as a Tokyo must-see is the Crystal World. This entire vast space is filled with a dazzling array of luminous flowers that shimmer and move. Access to this room is often timed, so make sure to fully immerse yourself during your allotted period.
Personally, my absolute favorite was the room where you lie down and gaze at projections on the ceiling. It creates a surreal sensation, as if the floor is shifting and your body is floating. Standing or sitting doesn't quite capture the full effect; you truly need to lie down to experience it properly. I spent the longest time in this room, and it alone made the entire visit worthwhile, with the other installations feeling like an amazing bonus.
Booking Your TeamLab Planets Tokyo Tickets
If the booking system is still similar to when I visited, reserving your tickets in advance allows you to bypass the general admission line. While we travelers often plan meticulously, many international visitors arrive without prior bookings, so skipping that queue can save you a significant amount of time.
You can find more detailed information and make reservations via the links above. As of my check today, August 30, 2026, popular morning and afternoon slots are already selling out fast. If you're planning a visit, it's highly recommended to secure your desired time slot well in advance. My visit to TeamLab Planets Tokyo completely captivated me, leading me to explore other teamLab installations, including those in Osaka and Fukuoka.
