When planning a trip to Chiang Mai, one hidden worry often involves the accommodation for your last day.

With many late-night flights, it's common to check out and then spend hours waiting in a cafe before heading to the airport.

I didn't want that, so I booked SYN Boutique Hotel for my last night.

It's a '24-hour stay' hotel, meaning you get a full 24 hours from the moment you check in.

I'll honestly break down everything from the rooms, pool, and breakfast to shuttle service and what to check before booking.

So, let's dive into the review!😊

📍 Essential Information

• Location: Chang Phueak, Chiang Mai (approx. 15-20 min walk to Maya Mall, One Nimman)

• Airport: 15-20 min by car

• Rating: 5-star, 80 rooms (opened 2019, renovated 2025)

• Check-in: 24 hours (24-hour stay from check-in time)

• Breakfast: 1st floor lounge (buffet only: adult 470 baht / child 235 baht)

• Parking & Shuttle: Free parking, free shuttle to Maya Mall

• Price: ~$127-150 per night (based on Stylistic Double Room on Dec 14)

• Rating: Agoda 9.1 / Trip.com 8.9

✔️ 24-Hour Stay – This is the biggest advantage!

Being able to use the room for a full 24 hours from check-in was incredibly convenient for my late-night flight. Normally, hotels require you to check out at a fixed time, no matter when you checked in.

However, please note that your desired check-in time may vary depending on room availability, so it's best to confirm before booking.

When booking, make sure to check if the room type specifies '24 Hours Use of Room.' Standard rooms have a 12 PM checkout.

✔️ Spacious and Truly Stylish Rooms & Pool

The interior truly lived up to its boutique hotel status, and I loved how spacious it was.

Plus, there's the famous pool, known for its beauty on social media.

I'll show you with photos and a video below!

We dropped off our luggage in the morning, went out to explore, and came back later. Haha!

While a staff member retrieved our bags, we cooled down with a refreshing welcome drink.

Its zesty flavor was perfect for quenching our thirst.

The lobby was quite spacious, with a gallery-like area off to one side.

Soon after, a staff member helped carry our luggage to the room.

We stayed in the Stylistic Double Room.

The wood-toned interior with brass accents was perfectly my style.

📌 Room Types: Stylistic approx. 32㎡ / Serene White 35㎡ / Sensory Suite 75㎡, etc. (All types available for 24-hour use)

I didn't manage to take many photos, so I'll share a video instead.

What stood out was the glass partition separating the bed and bathroom, giving it a unique feel compared to typical hotel rooms. There's a button inside that makes it opaque! Haha!!!

If you search for SYN Boutique Hotel, you'll see a lot of pool photos, and seeing it in person, I completely understood why!

With its blue striped parasols and excellent lighting, it's perfect for photos.

There's also a shallow pool for kids. However, despite its beauty, it's not particularly large.

I was so focused on my Wat Umong tour and shopping spree that I barely got to enjoy it, and I still regret it😭

We had breakfast in the 1st-floor lounge, which was so clean and beautiful it was perfect for taking pictures.

Honestly, the taste was decent. Not the 'breakfast of a lifetime,' but it was perfectly satisfying.

What particularly caught my eye were the honeycomb and colorful Thai desserts.

It felt like a lot of care went into the plating of the fruits and desserts.

I also had the Eggs Benedict, and each dish was beautifully presented.

If there's one slight drawback, it's that it's a bit far from the heart of Nimman Haemin.

Being on the outskirts, it takes about 15 minutes to walk to Maya Mall. It's walkable when the weather is nice, but when it's hot, I couldn't imagine making that trek! haha

In such cases, just let the front desk know, and you can hop on their pink free shuttle.

While it's a pleasant walk when it's cool, it can be quite a challenge in Chiang Mai's hot weather.

Instead, the hotel operates a free tuk-tuk shuttle. We tried it on our last day, and the ride itself was quite fun! haha

📌 The shuttle requires a reservation 2 hours in advance at the front desk, and operating hours are subject to change, so please confirm with the hotel.

Aside from one time when we took the shuttle to Maya Mall, we mostly used Grab.

💡 A quick tip for your first arrival at the hotel!

There's a slightly more classic-looking hotel right next to this one, and drivers often drop guests off there by mistake.

They share a common entrance road. Even though it's right next door, if you find yourself dropped off at that brown-toned hotel (I can't recall its name...), make sure to tell the driver it's not your destination! hahaha

Chiang Mai enters its dry season starting in November, marking the beginning of the best time to visit.

This means it's wise to look into accommodation bookings well in advance.

When I searched for dates around Christmas, I noticed that the Stylish Twin and Double rooms were already fully booked!

It's a popular spot, so if you've decided to stay here, hurry up and book!

I checked prices on Agoda and Trip.com, which I frequently use, and Trip.com was significantly cheaper than Agoda.

This is based on a Stylish Double Room, 24-hour access, for a stay on Monday, December 14th, non-refundable, and excluding breakfast.

However, prices can change depending on the search date, so make sure to compare just before payment. Also, MyRealTrip often has fantastic payment discounts, so definitely check if you can get an even better deal there!

This hotel is perfect for those with late-night flights or who simply want to spend their last day relaxing.

It's also a great choice for couples or families traveling with children.

According to Agoda's guidelines, infants (1 to 3 years old) and children aged 4 to 11 can stay for free when using existing beds in the room. This hotel also offers connecting rooms, making it an excellent choice for a family vacation. Be sure to confirm before booking.😊
