While planning my trip to Egypt,
exploring historic sights in Cairo and Luxor sounded amazing,
but one of the places I was most excited about
was the Red Sea resort town of Hurghada.
It might not be super famous among Asian travelers yet,
but it is already an incredibly popular holiday destination in Europe.
It's particularly beloved by travelers from Germany and Russia
who flock here for a relaxing sunny getaway.
(Maybe that's why we were the only Asian guests staying at the resort 😅)
When traveling through Egypt,
you spend so much time exploring deserts and ancient ruins that
at some point, you inevitably think, "Ah, I just want to relax by the sea..."
So, we decided to dedicate a full day of our itinerary
to pure relaxation and booked a stay at a
Hurghada all-inclusive resort to completely unwind.
01. Why We Chose SUNRISE Holidays Resort Hurghada
The place we chose for our Hurghada getaway was

There was really just one main reason we booked this resort:
the way the swimming pool seamlessly flows right into the Red Sea.
The second I saw the official hotel photos,
I knew this was the one and booked it immediately.
Plus, since it's an all-inclusive resort,

were all included in the price,
making it absolutely perfect for spending the entire day lounging and playing around.

just a 15-minute drive from Hurghada International Airport.
This made getting from the airport super convenient,
and the check-in process was relatively quick and smooth.
Also, since it is situated right in the center of Hurghada,
pickups for popular local tours like the

were incredibly easy and stress-free.
04. Check-in
Here is the entrance of the SUNRISE Holidays Resort,
which we reached after a quick 15-minute ride from Hurghada Airport.
Upon checking in, they secure a resort wristband on your arm.
It seems they use this wristband
to easily identify and verify active guests.
Luckily, the material was surprisingly durable,
so it didn't snap or wear off even when we were swimming and splashing in the water.
Once check-in was finished,
the staff delivered our luggage directly to our room,
allowing us to head upstairs completely hands-free.
And one of the absolute best perks?
You can enjoy the dining facilities immediately upon check-in!
So, we dropped our worries and headed straight to the restaurant.
05. Breakfast & Dinner Buffet
As this is an all-inclusive resort,
all meals are served in a buffet style.
For breakfast,
✔ bread, omelets, fresh fruit, and salads
were all ready for us, along with various other options,
and there was even a live cooking station preparing dishes right on the spot.
Dining while looking out at the endless sea through the window
truly made me feel like I was in a tropical paradise. I loved it!
The dinner buffet had an even wider variety of options than breakfast.
There was plenty of seafood and Middle Eastern-style dishes,
and since the spices weren't too overpowering,
I actually enjoyed them much more than I expected!
The dessert selection was also quite impressive,
and the fruit was incredibly fresh and delicious.
06. Inside the Room: Our Review
After finishing our meal,
we finally headed up to check out our room.
The room featured a bright, white-toned interior design,
which gave it an incredibly clean and airy feel.
The bed was spacious and super comfortable for the two of us to unwind.
The bathroom was also cleaner than expected,
and the entire space felt very well-maintained.
Plus, the room was so spacious
that even with two large suitcases left wide open,
we never felt cramped at all.
But the absolute best part?
Waking up to the stunning view of the Red Sea right from our bed!
Opening the curtains in the morning to see that gorgeous sea...
The signature deep-blue hue of the Red Sea was so beautiful
that just sitting out on the balcony
instantly put us in vacation mode.
We even caught both the sunrise and sunset right from here!
07. Exploring the Resort Facilities

Inside the resort,
✔ swimming pools, bars, restaurants, and cozy lounge areas
were ready to be explored.
There were multiple pools, so we could just pick our favorite spot,
grab a sunbed, and relax completely.
Since we could keep ordering drinks unlimitedly,
we could go for a swim, grab a refreshing drink at the bar,
and jump right back in—
making it so easy to spend the entire day having fun inside the resort.
One of the main reasons we booked this resort in the first place:
The swimming pool and the Red Sea views.
The pool seems to blend seamlessly right into the ocean,
and we saw plenty of people enjoying some snorkeling right nearby!
For lunch, we grabbed a burger at the poolside restaurant,
and it was seriously so crispy and delicious!
08. Resort Shows & Events
Once evening rolls around,
the resort hosts fun little shows and events.
With live music and various performances,
it's the perfect way to unwind after dinner.
Since they keep the entertainment going until quite late,
keeping an eye on the INFORMATION BOARD around the resort
is a great way to make sure you don't miss a thing!
