Wondering if Sukishi Korean Charcoal Grill in Jungceylon, Phuket is worth a visit despite its low rating? Here is our honest review of this BBQ buffet.
While looking for a place to grab dinner at the Jungceylon Shopping Center in Patong, Phuket, we wandered around trying to find something that hit the spot.
Nothing in particular was jumping out at us, so when we spotted Sukishi Korean Charcoal Grill, we decided to step inside and give it a try.

Sukishi Korean Charcoal Grill
51 Soi Sansabai, Pa Tong, Kathu District, Phuket 83150 Thailand
Opening Hours:
Daily 11:00 AM ~ 8:00 PM
Sukishi Location

You can easily find Sukishi on the second floor of the Jungceylon Shopping Center—just take the escalator up one flight from the ground floor.

Honestly, we probably should have checked the Google reviews before walking in. Looking at them now, the rating is pretty rough—sitting at a dismal 2.4 stars! What on earth happened here?
Going in completely blind, my personal take is: "Aside from the slightly slow service, it really wasn't that bad." I'd easily give it at least a 3.5 out of 5.

The menu board standing outside is definitely a bit chaotic and cluttered. It's a typical overseas style that might trigger a graphic designer, but we can look past that for a good meal.
The Vibe Inside

The interior is actually quite spacious. Even though it is advertised as a "Korean-style BBQ," it feels much closer to a Japanese Yakiniku setup rather than a traditional Korean K-BBQ spot where you grill thick pork belly on a massive tabletop plate.

The grill itself is on the smaller side—perfect for a solo diner. Since there were two of us, we had to keep the meats rolling constantly to avoid any awkward downtime.
The Menu & Pricing

Taking a look at the menu, they offer several tiers including Premium, Rose Gold, Gold, and Silver. The price gaps are quite noticeable. The Premium tier goes for 1,399 THB per person, which is roughly ~$40.

Since the higher tiers were getting a bit pricey, we decided to stick with the Silver tier. As you move up, you get premium cuts of beef and a wider variety of seafood. But since it was just two hungry guys, we were more focused on volume than fancy cuts!

There is a strict 1.5-hour (90-minute) time limit. It's not too tight, but it's not overly generous either. Because it takes about 5 to 10 minutes for your orders to arrive, the secret is to order a bunch of items right off the bat.

Here is our receipt from our visit back in September 2025. Drinks were ordered separately, and the total bill for two people, including tax and service charge, came out to 1,426 THB (approximately ~$41).

To order, you simply scan the QR code on your table and select your items through your phone.

Wait, did they make a mistake with the lettuce? Only two leaves? Haha!
We quickly realized how they portion things here. Game on—let's see who wins this round.

We immediately ordered one of every single meat option available on the menu, building a massive tower of meat plates to kick things off.

Most of the selection consists of thinly sliced pork belly. The differences lie in the marinades—some are plain, some have a sweet glaze, and others are coated in spicy Gochujang. Since marinated meats burn the grill quickly, it's best to start with the plain cuts first.

Out of everything we tried, the best cut was easily the pork belly rolled with enoki mushrooms. Once we found our favorite, we kept hitting that reorder button on our phones.

The fried shrimp looked a bit dry in terms of presentation, but they actually tasted surprisingly decent.

The Kimchi Jjigae (stew) was a bit of a mixed bag. Personally, I found it way too sweet and gave up after one spoonful. However, my friend loved it and pulled the bowl over to his side, finishing every last drop.

The charcoal fire is incredibly hot at first, but it starts dying down quickly as time goes on. Speed is of the essence! Keep the grilling and ordering process moving without any breaks.

For dessert, we ordered ice cream through the app. The ice cream was actually quite delicious—my friend loved it so much he ordered three different flavors!

That wraps up our experience at Sukishi Korean Charcoal Grill in Jungceylon.
If you check the Google reviews, they are pretty brutal—with complaints ranging from food poisoning to terrible service and slow food delivery.
To play it safe, we'd recommend avoiding any raw items (like raw egg dipping sauces) and raw seafood. Stick strictly to well-cooked meats, and you'll easily have a decent dining experience. Don't let the low rating scare you off entirely!
📍 Sukishi Korean Charcoal Grill

You can easily find it by taking the escalator up one floor from the 1st floor of the Jungceylon Shopping Center. It is open daily from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
The dining time is limited to a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes. To order, you simply scan the QR code provided at your table with your smartphone and select the items you want directly.
If you choose the Silver tier and add drinks separately, the total comes to 1,426 THB for two people, including VAT. For reference, the most expensive Premium tier costs 1,399 THB per person.
There are many negative reviews mentioning stomach upset or slow food service, so you need to be careful when selecting your menu. For a safe dining experience, it is recommended to avoid sauces containing raw eggs or uncooked seafood, and instead focus on meats that are thoroughly cooked.
