Oh wow, Stussy is in Hong Kong too?????
So, I decided to make it a tram adventure,
and off I went by tram!
I went to Stussy, but then....
And when I got there???
What's with this queue, LOL;;;
After about 30 minutes of waiting, I guess?
I finally got in.
What I really wanted was a city long-sleeve tee!!!
But they said they didn't have the city series.
So I left right away.
Ugh, what a bummer. T_T
My Stussy city series collection so far:
Honolulu, Guam, Paris, LA
Oh, my Hong Kong tee! T_T
There was some kind of NikeLab nearby,
so I went to check it out.
It was a store that only sold collaboration products.
Nike and Gore-Tex, huh?
The Leica building was beautiful too,
and I even saw a super huge Santa dog named Mochi!
It was seriously huge.
Its name was MOCHI.
Is it a Samoyed? I'm not a dog expert, haha.
There were also many famous street shops around.
And guess what? There's another street just like this, lined with luxury brands!
You'll find Chanel, Cartier, and all those iconic names right here on the street.
Tiffany & Co.
But if you venture a little further,
you'll discover even more department stores and sprawling shopping malls.
...and so much more!
Seriously, this is one of those places where you'll want to bring a serious stack of cash!
Oh my goodness, can you believe it?!
Our original plan for the day was
to hit up Stussy, and then head straight to Din Tai Fung.
So we made our way to Din Tai Fung pronto!

No. 201 Xiaolongbao (6 pieces) $70 - 2 servings
No. 210 Pan-fried Shrimp and Pork Dumplings (6 pieces) $90
No. 307 Shrimp and Pork Wontons with Spicy Sauce - $74

Chinese tea or mineral water available at $12 per person
10% service charge
You know how in Hong Kong, traditionally,
they often provide hot tea for you to rinse your tableware before you eat?
But here at Din Tai Fung, there was absolutely no need for that ritual!
The tableware was spotlessly clean,
the staff were incredibly friendly,
Oh, it was such a refreshing change from Tim Ho Wan, where we went on our first day!
It was so incredibly different, and I absolutely loved it.........
Tim Ho Wan Review
First off, it was amazing (and such a relief!) to have a menu translated into Korean ㅠㅠ
The menu was also different from the Din Tai Fung back in Korea.

But guess what? The sweet and sour pork (tangsu-yuk) that we usually order... wasn't on the menu!!!
It's super easy – just check off your picks on the order sheet and hand it to the staff!
And let me tell you, the service here was truly next-level!
We were at a two-person table, but there were three chairs,
so I placed my bag on the extra chair.
And get this – they actually brought a cloth to cover my bag! So thoughtful!
We initially planned to share a single Tsingtao beer,
but it turned out to be smaller than we thought,
so we just had to order another Kirin!
Hahaha!
Shrimp Wontons - Tastes pretty similar to what you'd find in Korea!
Xiao Long Bao - I actually prefer the ones in Korea!
The filling inside was a bit softer, I guess?
The texture was definitely a bit different.

And this? Well, it's that familiar, comforting flavor we all know and love! 😉
With the 10% service charge, our bill came to $458 HKD!!

Hmm, looking at it in USD, it does seem a bit pricey! 😉
BUT!!!!!
The hygiene was so much better than Tim Ho Wan, and the staff were incredibly friendly, which I really appreciated.
Seriously, it made a difference!
But honestly, Tim Ho Wan's food tasted better... haha!
Next up: exploring the vibrant streets of Hong Kong!
The ground floor of a nearby hotel.
Those handles look seriously sturdy!
It's fascinating how they don't use rebar here,
but instead, construct entire buildings with bamboo scaffolding!
A Xiaomi store!
An apartment right by the subway, in an absolute hotspot!
Also saw an OOFOS store for the very first time!
There are SOOOOO many people!
It felt like Myeongdong, times a hundred!
And another restroom line!
Seriously, it feels like there isn't a single restroom here without a queue! 😩
Hong Kong Travel Information
No, I couldn't purchase any City Series products at the Stüssy Hong Kong store because they didn't have them. The author wanted a City long-sleeve but couldn't find it and left immediately.
Six Xiao Long Bao (No. 201) were $70 (two plates), six Shrimp & Pork Pot Stickers (No. 210) were $90, and Wontons with Spicy Sauce (Shrimp & Pork) (No. 307) were $74. Beer was $44.
The total bill, including a 10% service charge, was $458 (approximately ~$60). A separate charge of $12 per person was incurred for Chinese tea or mineral water.
Din Tai Fung Hong Kong had very clean tableware and extremely friendly staff. The author rated it better than Tim Ho Wan, which they visited on the first day, in terms of hygiene and friendliness.
Din Tai Fung Hong Kong had a Korean-translated menu, and its menu differed from Din Tai Fung Korea. Notably, the sweet and sour pork (tangsuyuk), which is available at Din Tai Fung Korea, was not on the menu.
