Recommended Accommodation Near Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Office & Andong Hahoe Folk Village
When my business trip to Andong was scheduled,
I started looking for accommodation near the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Office and
ended up booking Stanford Hotel Andong.
I stayed in a Superior Mountain View room,
and after experiencing it firsthand, I was truly impressed with everything from the spacious parking
to the convenient ground-floor convenience store and the overall room condition.
I initially booked one night for about ~$104 through the official website,
but when I checked current weekday rates,
it turns out booking through accommodation sites is
significantly cheaper?

Stanford Hotel Andong
If your itinerary in Andong involves traveling by car,
you know how crucial the parking situation is when choosing accommodation, right?
Stanford Hotel Andong truly shines with its
ample parking space, offering both outdoor and indoor (underground) options!
Since it was raining heavily on the day I visited,
I parked my car in the basement and went through the internal connecting passage
directly to the front desk.

*For early check-in and late check-out,
an additional charge of ~$14 per hour applies*
Since there's a 24-hour front desk,
you don't need to worry if you check in late!
Stanford Hotel Andong
offered a variety of facilities available for guests.
There's a fitness center and a Korean-style sauna,
a restaurant and cafe, and a breakfast restaurant are operating,
as well as laundry service, luggage storage service,
and meeting and banquet facilities.
In the lobby on the first floor, there was an ATM and
a 7-Eleven convenience store.
I always used to go out searching for a convenience store nearby
after checking into accommodation, but having a facility like this right inside is subtly convenient.
Room Condition Inside the Guestroom
The room I booked was the
Superior Twin Room with Mountain View,
and I was assigned room 729 at check-in.
The first thing I noticed as soon as I entered the room was
how incredibly clean it was!
Since I had just finished a day's schedule for a business trip,
this kind of comfortable atmosphere was exactly what I needed.
The room was equipped with a desk, blackout curtains, complimentary bottled water,
slippers, and bathrobes, among other things.
The two bottles of water in the refrigerator and
tea bags are complimentary, but everything else incurs a charge.
What I loved most about the bathroom was that
the mirror itself was illuminated, making it so much easier and brighter for applying makeup in the morning.
Usually, hotel lighting is too dim for makeup,
but this was a truly satisfying feature!
However, an unavoidable drawback of Korean accommodations is that
amenities are not provided free of charge ㅠㅠ
Basically, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap are
available in the bathroom, but you should bring
anything else you might need.
If you need a toothbrush or toothpaste,
I recommend purchasing them at the convenience store on the first floor!
Room Service Hours: 12:00 ~ 21:00
Breakfast Hours: 07:00 ~ 10:00
Since I was visiting for a business trip,
I couldn't take advantage of them due to time constraints,
Looking at other people's reviews, everyone came away satisfied.
If you have the chance, I highly recommend checking it out!
Room View (Mountain View)
My room came with a mountain view,
and I could see an **expansive, open view** right from my window.
Honestly, when you're visiting for a business trip,
you rarely have the luxury of leisurely soaking in the scenery, do you?
When I finished my schedule and returned,
since the view outside the window wasn't blocked by buildings,
it was wonderful that it **didn't feel stuffy or confined at all.**
However, if you're visiting for a leisure trip
and you'll be spending more time in your room,
it might be a good idea to consider a lake view room!
Despite that, I was absolutely thrilled with
my mountain view accommodation!
My Takeaway
From my personal experience during my business trip to Andong,
for those who prioritize **spotless rooms and hassle-free parking**, this is absolutely the hotel I'd recommend.
The Superior Twin Mountain View room I stayed in
boasted fantastic room conditions,
and if I go on another business trip to Andong in the future,
I'd definitely put it at the top of my list for future stays!
