After a string of ultra-budget accommodations, I decided it was time for a little upgrade. For my recent two-night stay in Ho Chi Minh City, I opted for a hotel that offered a bit more comfort without breaking the bank.

This time, my primary focus wasn't just the price tag (though I definitely steered clear of anything ridiculously expensive!). Instead, I prioritized location, looking for a spot that felt just right.

My previous Ho Chi Minh stay was near the bustling Bui Vien Walking Street, so I wanted to explore a different vibe. That's when I rediscovered a favorite open space – what's officially known as Nguyen Hue Walking Street – and decided to find a hotel right in its vicinity.

Nguyen Hue Walking Street is perfect for a leisurely stroll; it's wide and long, offering plenty of space. As a large public square, it comes alive at night with people gathering for all sorts of activities. The selection of food and the seating area were surprisingly limited. Quite remarkably so.

After a quick bite, I noticed the pool outside and decided to take a peek. The pool was also quite small.

If I tried to capture it in an 'aspirational' way, it could almost pass for a chic rooftop pool, right? Haha!

But here's the reality shot! The view itself isn't bad, it's just that the pool is rather compact.
