Six Flags Mexico City Review: Thrilling Rides & Essential Tips 2026
Discover Six Flags Mexico City, home to thrilling roller coasters like Batman and Boomerang, plus family-friendly rides. Get tips for your 2026 visit and find out where to buy tickets!
Known for its collection of some of the most heart-pounding roller coasters in North America, Six Flags is a name synonymous with high-octane thrills.
Did you know there's a Six Flags right here in Mexico City? I recently had the chance to visit this incredible park, and it's a must for any adrenaline junkie.

Conveniently located just a 20-minute Uber ride from the city center's Zocalo Square, it's an easy trip to make for a day of excitement.
Six Flags Mexico
A True Theme Park for Adults
The Six Flags theme park concept is historically rooted in the six nations (or flags) that have flown over Texas throughout its history. In chronological order, these were:
Spain - France - Mexico - Republic of Texas - Confederate States - United States |
Of course, the six flags proudly displayed at Six Flags Mexico likely carry a slightly different, more localized significance.

Regardless of its exact historical theme, Six Flags parks are truly all about the attractions and roller coasters. If you're a theme park enthusiast, Six Flags Mexico is an absolute must-visit!

You can easily purchase your Six Flags Mexico admission tickets through the official Klook site below.

Compared to parks like Disney or Universal, the prices are incredibly reasonable, making it an even more appealing destination for theme park lovers.
Boomerang
A Shuttle Coaster That Takes You Back and Forth
The Boomerang is a classic shuttle coaster, similar to what you might find at other major parks. It launches you forward, then backward, through twists and inversions.

While Universal Studios has its Mummy ride, I found Boomerang at Six Flags Mexico to be faster and even more thrilling!
Wonder Woman
A Roller Coaster Where the Track Spins, the Seats Spin, and So Do You!
The Wonder Woman coaster at Six Flags Mexico features a unique design where the track itself rotates, and your seats spin independently – it’s a dizzying experience I’d only imagined before!
It might not look as terrifying as some other rides, but it offers a genuinely fun and innovative twist on the traditional roller coaster.

Batman Ride
An Inverted Coaster with Intense G-Forces, Running Beneath the Track
This was hands down my favorite roller coaster during my visit. Just looking at the track, you can tell it’s going to be wild, but the real kicker is that you ride *under* the track, amplifying the thrill factor even more! 🎢

While not the fastest ride in the park, both Boomerang and Batman are absolute must-rides if you come to Six Flags Mexico.

The Dark Knight Coaster
Ride Through Gotham City, Batman's Hometown
The Dark Knight Coaster takes you on a journey through Gotham City, Batman's iconic home. Despite its ominous name, this is actually a family-friendly roller coaster, perfect for those seeking a milder thrill.

Superman: The Last Escape
Supergirl: Sky Flight
Six Flags Mexico's Most Intense Roller Coaster and Spinning Swings
Unfortunately, Superman: The Last Escape, often considered the most intense ride at Six Flags Mexico, was under maintenance during my visit, so I didn't get to experience it.
However, I did see Supergirl: Sky Flight, which isn't a roller coaster but a giant spinning swing ride. This isn't your typical carnival swing; it rotates at about 40 mph from a dizzying height of 24 stories (approximately 240 feet)! It's like a human centrifuge!

As a fun fact, Six Flags has a licensing agreement with Warner Bros., allowing them to feature thrilling rides themed around popular DC Comics characters throughout their parks.

Medusa
A Roller Coaster Themed Around Escaping Medusa's Gaze
The Medusa roller coaster also offers a good dose of thrills with its unique concept of escaping the mythical Gorgon's gaze.

SkyScreamer
A Tower Ride That Launches You High Above the Park
While not a roller coaster, the SkyScreamer (often referred to as Sky Chair) promises an incredible thrill as it lifts you high into the air, offering panoramic views before a rapid descent. I regret missing out on this one during my visit!

Beyond these highlights, Six Flags Mexico boasts many other hero-themed attractions, and as a full-fledged theme park, it regularly hosts festivals and offers plenty of entertainment and sights to enjoy.
If you're a fan of amusement parks and find yourself in Mexico City, a visit to Six Flags Mexico comes highly recommended!
