Breakfast in Mexico City: A Chic Roma Norte Brunch Spot
Looking for the perfect brunch in Mexico City? Head to Breakfast in Roma Norte, a charming spot known for its antique decor, lush views, and fantastic morning menu.
While staying in Mexico City, I was craving a healthy brunch for breakfast.
So, while searching for a great Mexican brunch spot near my accommodation,
I stumbled upon breakfast, a Mexico City brunch hotspot whose name even screams 'breakfast'!

Location
Roma Norte
Mexico City brunch hotspot breakfast is nestled in Roma Norte, one of Mexico City's upscale neighborhoods.
The weather was so perfect, it was like magic – even the ordinary streets of Mexico City looked beautiful!

Arrived at Mexico City brunch hotspot, breakfast!
Right from the entrance, you can tell this place has a great vibe.

Inside the Restaurant
Sunny Mexico City visible from the window
First off, the interior feels like stepping into a luxurious antique home, with a distinctly vintage charm,
and every single decor piece adds to the special ambiance of this Mexico City brunch gem.

The restaurant has both a first and second floor,
and since you can overlook the vibrant streets of Mexico City from the second floor, we headed straight up there!
The ambiance on the second floor is absolutely gorgeous.
It seems this lush, green view is definitely a part of why this Mexico City brunch spot is so famous.

Oh, and the full-length mirror in front of the restroom at Mexico City's breakfast? It's a prime spot for selfies!
By the way, it hasn't even been a month, but I think I've gained about 5 kg (around 11 lbs) 😓

The Menu
Brunch and Traditional Mexican Dishes
While Mexico City's brunch hotspot, breakfast, is famous for its brunch offerings,
it seems their Mexican dishes are also quite popular, which makes sense given it's a restaurant in Mexico!

In many Western countries, it's common to order drinks first, then food,
so my sibling and I ordered passionfruit juice and mango juice, while our friend opted for a Coke!
Here, the Coke comes in a tall, slender can, not the usual stubby one.

As for the food, I was in the mood for something healthy for a change, and while browsing the brunch options,
the captivating name Huevos a la Mexicana caught my eye, so I ordered it!
For reference, Huevos a la Mexicana is essentially a Mexican-style brunch dish.
With frijoles (a bean sauce), eggs, tomatoes, avocado, and more,
it was just as healthy and delicious as I had hoped.

Next up was my sibling's order: Enchiladas Suizas.
I guess it's called 'Suizas' (Swiss) because Switzerland is famous for its cheese, don't you think? 🤔
Just eating the cheese alone felt a bit salty, but paired with the enchilada, it was absolutely delicious!

And for my Mexican friend, it was Enmoladas Oaxaqueñas.
Mole sauce, which isn't commonly found in Korea yet, is a rich chocolate and peanut butter-based sauce.
It might be an unfamiliar flavor at first, but once you try it, it's incredibly addictive.
I personally love mole sauce, so this dish was right up my alley!

And of course, a highly popular Mexican brunch item: Chilaquiles!
It's like a Mexican nacho bowl, slightly spicy and incredibly satisfying.
Apparently, it's also a very popular dish for hangovers! 🤣

If you're looking for a taste of authentic Mexican brunch rather than standard brunch fare, Mexico City's brunch hotspot, breakfast, is the place to be.
It's located in a beautiful neighborhood with good security, so
If you're craving healthy and beautiful food in Mexico City, then I highly recommend 'Breakfast', a fantastic brunch spot in Mexico City!
