When you're looking for a cafe near Siheung's Mulwang Reservoir,

you might typically seek out lake views,

but the spot I visited this time felt more like a botanical garden or arboretum.

For little ones like 24-month-old Ukka, who love to run and play freely,

this cafe comes highly recommended.

If you're looking for a peaceful scene where pets and children play together,

I highly recommend you visit.

On Naver Place, it's listed as "Sangol Arboretum,"

but in the description, it says "Cafe Sumok."

The good news is, they're the same wonderful spot!

The parking lot is spacious,

and having a parking attendant made things super convenient.

One drink order per person.

After ordering your drink at the cafe, you can enjoy access to the arboretum.

It's essentially like the entrance fee is included with your drink.

The menu was conveniently displayed right at the entrance,

making it easy to check out all the options.

As soon as I stepped inside, I spotted a showcase filled with delicious pastries.

Just grab a plate from the self-service bar opposite,

and pick out all the breads you fancy!

Since it was right after opening, the showcase wasn't entirely full yet,

but fresh loaves kept emerging from the oven,

and the irresistible aroma of freshly baked goods filled the air!

Checking out the notice attached to the microwave,

I found myself eagerly anticipating the breads that hadn't been released yet!

Beyond the handcrafted beverages,

there's a diverse selection of options like milk tea and Dutch coffee.

Our ordered drinks and ice cream were thoughtfully placed

into this convenient carrier.

With tables scattered around the cafe,

it would have been tricky to navigate with just a tray,

so the carrier was a brilliant touch!

Main Building: A Great Spot for Laptop Work

This is the second floor of the cafe, which you can see from the entrance.

Inside the cafe, there are only stairs,

so if you're bringing a stroller,

you'll want to use the sloped path outside.

The cafe interior is spotless and inviting,

and I noticed quite a few families with children enjoying themselves.

Another big plus? Plenty of power outlets!

While Ukka was busy playing with his dad,

I was able to really enjoy the cafe as a great spot for getting some laptop work done.

It seemed there weren't many people inside the cafe,

but the day we visited, the weather was beautiful,

so most of the guests were seated outdoors.

When you go up to the 3rd-floor rooftop, you can see everything at a glance –

charming huts scattered around

and tables with parasols unfurled.

Among them, the place that looks like a botanical garden over there

is a beautiful indoor cafe space filled with photo zones,

making it a must-visit.

Hwarobang (Fireplace Room)

Next to the main building is the Hwarobang.

If you're using a stroller,

you'll use the path between the main building and the Hwarobang,

but it's a road where cars also pass,

so caution is needed.

The Hwarobang had tables and an ambiance that would be perfect

for when the weather gets a bit chilly.

Outdoor Area and Botanical Greenhouse

We officially embarked on our arboretum stroll.

Listening to the sound of water flowing down from above,

we explored around,

and we diligently climbed up along the sloped path.

The annex greenhouse was particularly impressive.

The sunlight streaming in through the glass windows was so beautiful

that no matter where you took a picture, it was a perfect photo zone.

There were various animal friends (dolls) like giraffes, bees, and monkeys,

which Ukka-gun absolutely loved.

But perhaps it was because the weather was too good,

the inside was warm, so we left quickly.

In mid-summer, it would be cool with air conditioning, but for now, haha.

Thanks to that, we were able to capture

some beautiful photos in the empty greenhouse.

Facilities: Diaper Changing Station, Umbrellas

The best thing for families with infants and toddlers is

the availability of a dedicated diaper changing station.

In the special area provided in the building next to the main hall,

even disposable changing sheets were prepared, showing thoughtful consideration.

I initially wondered if they were for sudden rain,

but seeing them arranged in various colors,

I think they'd also make great photo props!
