PARCO Shinsaibashi
is a massive 14-story shopping mall located near Dotonbori,
a popular spot frequented by both tourists and locals alike.
From luxury brands and high-end fashion to charming character shops,
it offers a diverse range of stores. What's more, on the 8th floor,
it's connected to Daimaru Department Store, making it a great place to explore both simultaneously.
With such a wide variety, from clothing to merchandise shops,
time flies by even if you're just window shopping.
Today, I'll be sharing a review of Osaka PARCO Shinsaibashi,
highlighting some of the must-see stores on each floor.
1F: Human Made
Tax-Free Available / No Fitting
As soon as I entered through the south entrance,
the first store I spotted was Human Made.
It's a really popular store, attracting customers from Korea and China,
so there was a bit of a wait, but since it was a weekday,
I only had to queue for about 10 minutes before getting in quickly.
The store wasn't particularly spacious,
but it felt like they had a bit more stock than the Tokyo branch,
and a wider variety of items compared to Fukuoka.
I heard new drops happen on Saturdays,
and there was even a staff member who could speak Korean.
I really liked a white cap,
and debated whether to buy it or not.
Looking back now, I wish I had bought it!
2F: The North Face
Tax-Free Available / Fitting Available
On the 2nd floor, at The North Face,
I stopped by specifically to check out their Purple Label items, which aren't available in Korea.
While there were fewer Purple Label items compared to White Label,
they had a great variety of new arrivals.
I don't know why, but no matter how many times I look at bags, there are always so many that catch my eye.
Even in this life, I'm always carrying a lot of things, and I wonder if I was a traveling merchant in a past life,
given how many bags kept catching my attention.
Beyond just the Purple Label,
they also had a wide selection of their regular products.
The staff were generally friendly, and fitting rooms were available,
so I highly recommend stopping by if you're a North Face fan.
5F: Kiddy Land
Tax-Free Not Available
For anyone who loves cute characters,
Kiddy Land is an absolute must-visit.
You can find a wide variety of character goods here, from Sanrio, Crayon Shin-chan, Kirby, Chiikawa, and more.
While you can buy a huge range of character merchandise,
the only drawback is that it's not tax-free.
There was a section dedicated to Sanrio keychains,
with various characters grouped together, making it easy to browse and compare.
The Choco Cat keychain was particularly adorable.
I bought this Kuromi couple keychain as a gift for a married couple I know.
They stick together with magnets, which is perfect for couples! :)
Miffy towels and pouches were also on display.
Handkerchiefs and pouches are always great for gifts due to their practicality,
so I always find myself looking at them for presents.
Miffy keyrings and small dolls were displayed together.
Even with Miffy, the colors and designs varied slightly,
making it easy to pick according to your taste.
From Kirby dolls, keyrings, and figures,
they even had Kirby-shaped kendama.
The variety of Kirby merchandise was fantastic, making it great to browse all at once.
A delightful display of Monchhichis.
Even in Osaka, there were no new Monchhichi releases.
There were also Sailor Moon goodies,
from a show I enthusiastically watched quite a long time ago.

to keyrings, there was a great variety available.
5F: Bandai Namco
Next up is the Bandai Namco Cross Store.
It's a store where you can find gachas, figures, card games, and character merchandise
all in one place.
Since gachas are my main interest, I focused my photos on them,
but there was also a huge array of other Bandai Namco anime merchandise.
If you come to Japan, you simply can't resist the gacha machines!
The place was quite large, with a fantastic variety of gachas.
A new Crayon Shin-chan: Henderland gacha came out, so I gave it a try,
but I was surprised when I got an unexpected 'Okama' character.
Doraemon Store
Tax-Free Shopping Unavailable
Here's the entrance to the Doraemon Store.
With a Doraemon statue right outside the store,
it was impossible to miss even from a distance!
Doraemon and Jean Jullien
collaboration products were also on display.
From T-shirts, hats, and mugs to postcards and badges,
there was a pretty diverse range to explore.
Doraemon and Dorami dolls,
along with other character goods, were all displayed together.
Everyday items like Doraemon dinnerware, cups, towels, and pouches
were also available.
While I'm not a huge Doraemon fan,
the practical merchandise was quite charming,
so I considered them for a bit, but ended up passing since tax-free shopping wasn't available.
6F: LEGO Store
Tax-Free Shopping Available
I stopped by the LEGO Store to show my boyfriend around,
as he's a huge LEGO enthusiast.
The LEGO Flower series products
and Japan-exclusive items were also on display.
There were also Japanese-themed LEGO sets like Osaka Castle and Maneki-neko,
and I really wanted to buy one!
Inside the store,
a model of Tsutenkaku made of LEGO was also on display.
I really wished I could take this one home!
There was also a photo zone featuring Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki
made of LEGO.
It was a photo zone with a distinct Osaka vibe,
so it was perfect for taking pictures inside the store.
7th Floor: Crayon Shin-chan Official Store
This is my absolute favorite Crayon Shin-chan official store.
Since I've been watching this anime since I was a child,
it's a place I always visit whenever I see a Shin-chan store in Japan.
There was a wide variety of mini accessories,
including Shin-chan keychains, cardholders, and pouches.
As someone who can't resist keychains and shopping bags,
I ended up buying a keychain here too.
Crayon Shin-chan character stickers
were priced at 396 JPY per sheet, or 1,100 JPY for three sheets,
as a discounted offer.
There were also dog clothes on one side,
and I absolutely coveted the Buriburizaemon outfit!
I was going to buy it, but my boyfriend talked me out of it.
The Shin-chan t-shirts were also adorable.
There were so many types of Shin-chan merchandise, so if you're a fan of Shin-chan,
I highly recommend stopping by this store.
Chiikawa Land
Tax-free shopping not available
Chiikawa Land was absolutely overflowing with cuteness.
The store was filled with adorable Chiikawa characters.
Boxes of random figurines completely filled the entrance area.
There was a variety of keychains and socks,
but many of them were also available in Korea,
and there didn't seem to be many limited-edition items.
Although there was a wide range of merchandise,
the store felt a bit chaotic due to the sheer number of people compared to its size,
making it a bit overwhelming.
6th Floor: Rilakkuma Store
Tax-free shopping not available
Next, we visited the Rilakkuma Store.
It was located next to the Miffy Store.
There were also Osaka-exclusive Rilakkuma items, like Rilakkuma making takoyaki or dressed in a kimono.
There were also merchandise items like tumblers and tableware.
However, the staff seemed a bit unfriendly while we were browsing,
so we ended up leaving before looking around completely.
6th Floor: Snoopy Town
No tax exemption available
If you're a Snoopy fan,
Snoopy Town is definitely a must-visit.
They had a much wider variety of items
compared to what I saw at Kobe Mosaic the day before.
From plushies to home decor, bags, and stationery,
the overall selection of goods was much larger.
The store was brimming with Snoopy merchandise,
from folders and plushies to small pouches.
They also had the FILA collaboration bags I saw in Kobe the day before.
If you're a Snoopy lover, you definitely need to check this place out! :)
Donguri Republic
Tax exemption available
The prices might be a bit steep,
but Donguri Republic is still a blast even if you're just window shopping.
It's one of those places I somehow always end up
visiting whenever I go to Japan.
The Shinsaibashi Donguri Republic even has photo zones,
so you'll find lots of people coming just to take pictures.
It seemed like there were even more people waiting for the photo zones
than actually shopping in the store!
While a wide variety of Ghibli characters were gathered here,
I still couldn't find any Howl's Moving Castle merchandise even in Osaka.
Still, there was plenty to see overall.
They had a diverse range of items, from adorable Mei figures to LPs.
The LPs were much cheaper here than buying them in Korea.
Parco Shinsaibashi has so many stores that even a quick browse
can easily turn into a 3-4 hour shopping spree.
You'll find brand stores like Human Made, The North Face, and LEGO, and
a great variety of character shops such as Kiddyland, Crayon Shin-chan Shop, Snoopy Town, and Donguri Republic.
If you're looking for a shopping spot near Dotonbori,
I highly recommend this as an indoor shopping destination for bad weather days,
especially since it has a basement food court and is connected to Daimaru! :)
Parco Shinsaibashi is a large shopping mall with 14 floors. It is connected to Daimaru Department Store on the 8th floor, making it convenient to explore both.
Tax exemption is available at the Human Made store on the 1st floor. However, fitting is not possible.
Unfortunately, tax exemption benefits are not available at Kiddy Land on the 5th floor. Although it sells a variety of character goods such as Sanrio, Crayon Shin-chan, Kirby, and Chiikawa, the inability to offer tax exemption is its only drawback.
Yes, at the official Crayon Shin-chan store on the 7th floor of Parco Shinsaibashi, a Crayon Shin-chan character sticker is sold for 396 yen per sheet. If you buy 3 sheets, you can purchase them at a discounted price of 1,100 yen.
At the Lego Store on the 6th floor of Parco Shinsaibashi, you can find Japan-exclusive Lego products such as Osaka Castle and Maneki-neko. Additionally, there's a Lego model of Tsutenkaku tower on display inside the store, along with Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki photo zones.
