Shilla Monogram Da Nang Family Review 2026: Ocean Views & Pools

When choosing accommodation for a family trip to Da Nang,

breakfast, a swimming pool, and room condition are important.

You want a place where kids can play in the water,

and where breakfast is satisfying.

That's exactly what I was looking for, and I ended up spending

four nights with my two children at Shilla Monogram Da Nang.

The swimming pool operates as a heated pool,

and they have excellent baby product rental services.

It was a 5-star resort in Da Nang, Vietnam,

that made traveling with kids less of a hassle.

I'll cover Shilla Monogram Da Nang's location, ocean view room prices,

breakfast and dining, swimming pool, and even the spa.

(I'll also include **how to book with a discount**.)

1. Da Nang Family Trip Hotel Location

Shilla Monogram Da Nang, despite its name, is not exactly in Da Nang city center,

but rather in Dien Ban,

located between Da Nang and Hoi An.

We had **pre-booked a private car pickup from Da Nang Airport to Shilla Monogram,**

so we headed straight to the resort,

and it took less than 30 minutes.

With two kids and luggage,

getting lost at the airport is the hardest part.

Since we booked in advance, we could leave as soon as we arrived!

Check-in: 3 PM

Check-out: 12 PM

Upon arriving at the lobby, our luggage was taken out separately, which was convenient,

and we could proceed with check-in right away.

For your reference, there isn't always a Korean-speaking staff member on duty,

but sometimes they are at the check-in counter.

📌 Shilla Monogram Da Nang Location Summary

· Less than 30 minutes by car from Da Nang Airport

· About 10 minutes by car to Non Nuoc Beach and Marble Mountains

· Approximately 9 km to An Bang Beach

· Midway between Da Nang city center and Hoi An

The resort also **operates a shuttle service**

to both Da Nang city center and Hoi An.

· Da Nang City Center (Indochina Riverside Tower) ↔ Resort

· Hoi An (358 Nguyen Duy Hieu) ↔ Resort

· 113,400 VND per person

· Apply at reception at least 4 hours in advance

We didn't use the Shilla Monogram shuttle.

It wasn't free, had fixed times,

and required advance booking.

So, we figured Grab would be more convenient

for moving around according to the kids' condition.

In fact, we called Grab throughout our 4-night stay,

and never once failed to get a ride and had to stay in.

If your itinerary requires you to go downtown every day,

the location might be a concern.

We only went to the city center for shopping one day,

and on the other days, we either went on tours or stayed at the resort,

so it wasn't a big issue for us.

In fact, being in the middle meant Hoi An was closer, which was great.

(Delivery food came from both Da Nang city center and Hoi An,

so we actually had more options for delivery food, haha!)

2. Shilla Monogram Da Nang Ocean View Room Prices

Shilla Monogram Da Nang offers a variety of room types.

As expected from a resort, there are separate residences and villas,

and the main building also has various room types.

I booked a **Premier Deluxe Ocean View Room**,

and was assigned a room on the 8th floor.

There are both regular Deluxe rooms and Premier Deluxe rooms,

with Superior and Deluxe rooms seemingly located on lower floors,

and Premier rooms on higher floors.

If the view is important to you, I recommend choosing

a Premier Deluxe room or higher.

When we made our reservation, we requested bed rails,

and they were already installed.

On both sides, no less! Usually, they only do one side – isn't that amazing?

The room was spacious enough that even with our luggage spread out,

the movement flow wasn't cramped.

The sofa and table were large,

It was also convenient for ordering delivery food.

(Since it's a bit far from the city center,

we ended up ordering delivery quite often in the evenings.)

Overall, I loved the clean, wood-toned interior, and since it's a new hotel,

everything felt pristine. I was also really happy that the floors weren't carpeted!

The balcony is also quite spacious, and it even has a laundry drying rack.

When you're splashing around every day, you end up with a pile of swimsuits,

so having space to hang up even two kids' swimsuits was definitely a lifesaver!

With an ocean view, you can see the sea right from the balcony,

and it was perfect for sitting out with a cup of coffee in the morning~

The bathroom had a completely separated layout for the bathtub, sink, and toilet.

This separated design really helped cut down on our morning and evening prep time.

The shower filter had a twist-and-replace design, which was super easy.

When I went to Nha Trang, the filter turned completely black, so I was surprised that the color didn't change much at Shilla Monogram Da Nang ㅎㅎ Still, I recommend bringing a filter!

Amenities are provided as disposables, and the hairdryer had just the right amount of power.

The refrigerator had divided sections, which was great for drinks and fruits,

but it seemed like it would be hard to fit large delivery food containers.

From the Corner Suites and above, you can access the Monogram Lounge.

In the lounge, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are unlimited, and afternoon tea is served in the afternoon, with cocktails in the evening.

3. Shilla Monogram Danang Breakfast Restaurant Review

Breakfast is served from 06:30 to 10:30

as a buffet at Dining M.

There was a wide variety of drinks available,

and the selection seemed to change a bit each day.

Since there were options tailored to Korean tastes,

it suited us really well overall.

There was a good variety of salads,

and many hot food options too.

You could find bacon, omelets, scrambled eggs, and more.

Pho was also made to order upon request.

There was a diverse selection of bakery items like plain bread, pain de campagne, salt bread, croissants,

mango pastries, pain au chocolat, and more.

Plus, a wide array of butter and jams!

Korean dishes like kimchi, white kimchi, japchae, and white rice were also available.

The pho, in particular, was so delicious

that I had a bowl every morning!

There were also menu items suitable for children,

so we could all eat together without needing to prepare anything extra for them.

There's even a small kids' corner tucked away! 😋

📌 With restaurants right inside Shilla Monogram Danang,

it was super convenient to enjoy meals without leaving the resort.

4. Shilla Monogram Danang Pool and Mango Bingsu

The biggest reason we booked Shilla Monogram Danang

was because of its amazing pools!

With varying depths for each pool,

from the littlest toddlers to elementary schoolers,

everyone can enjoy playing freely.

There's also a small sandy area next to the toddler pool.

You don't even need to go all the way to the beach,

which made me realize how perfect it is for traveling with young children! Haha.

The Family Pool, in particular, has long operating hours

and a suitable depth,

so we spent most of our time there.

The Infinity Pool, where many people take their stunning photos,

is adult-only,

so children can't enter with you.

This is why Shilla Monogram is famous as a heated pool resort in Danang.

While Danang is hot in the summer,

on rainy days or in winter, the water can be a bit chilly for swimming.

But since the pools are heated,

the big difference was that kids could play for a long time

without any worries about their lips turning blue 😌

After playing in the water, we headed to the sauna to get all refreshed.

We also enjoyed some bingsu (shaved ice) at Lobby Lounge M.

(This lounge is opposite the check-in counter and is different from the Monogram Lounge, which is exclusively for guests staying in Corner Suites or higher-tier rooms.)

They offer mango bingsu and strawberry bingsu,

and we chose the strawberry bingsu.

Our child really wanted strawberry bingsu, so we ordered it,

but honestly, it wasn't great. The strawberries weren't in the best condition either, so

they kindly brought us some mango as a complimentary gesture.

After trying the mango, I realized that since we were in Vietnam,

mango bingsu would have been the perfect choice.

Next time, I'm definitely ordering mango!

5. Sulwhasoo Spa & Sauna

You'll also find a Sulwhasoo Spa on the 1st floor of the resort.

📌 **Sulwhasoo Spa Information**

· Operating Hours: 09:00~21:00

· Features 4 single rooms and 1 couple room

With only 4 single rooms and 1 couple room,

it fills up quickly!

When we inquired, all the reservations were already taken, so

we couldn't get a massage. 😭

I later found out that if you **book in advance, it's cheaper** than the on-site price.

Since you can enjoy it without leaving the resort,

I highly recommend booking in advance once your itinerary is set!

A 90-minute aromatherapy oil massage is approximately ~$80 when booked online,

whereas on-site it's around ~$86.

That's enough to save you the cost of a meal!

MyRealTrip Shilla Monogram Sulwhasoo Spa Reservation

📌 Please note that children under 6 are not allowed to use the Sulwhasoo Spa.

If you're traveling with young children,

I recommend that adults go separately.

Separate from the spa, there's a **sauna** on the B1 level.

You can reach it by taking the elevator to B1, located near the spa entrance.

It's free for all hotel guests.

It's not huge, featuring one hot bath, one cold bath, and one sauna.

When our kids were in the hot bath, some Korean mothers were exclaiming, "Oh my, have you been taking them to saunas?" 🤣 (It seems they were surprised to see young children enjoying the bath!)

Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, and towels are all provided,

so you only need to bring your facial cleanser!

❗ **Even if a child is young, they must be accompanied by a guardian of the same gender.**

After actually staying here with our kids during our Da Nang trip,

I truly felt that booking Shilla Monogram Da Nang was an excellent choice.
