at Sherwood Residence while preparing for my Ho Chi Minh trip🔻🔻🔻
My four friends and I looked for a residence where we could gather for a beer at night and also sleep comfortably. We chose Sherwood Residence, and now I'm excited to share my firsthand review from our recent visit!
I'll be sharing a detailed review based on my actual experience,
covering everything from check-in to check-out and even the luggage storage service.
Location & Accessibility
Sherwood Residence Ho Chi Minh
Sherwood Residence is located at 127 Pasteur Street in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City.
Even though it's in District 3, it's right next to District 1,
so you can easily walk to popular spots like the Pink Church and Saigon Square!~~
It's about a 10-minute walk from the War Remnants Museum, and major tourist attractions like Ben Thanh Market and Dong Khoi Street are also nearby. Using a taxi or Grab, you can reach most attractions within 10-15 minutes, making its location truly excellent.
There's also a supermarket within walking distance, which was convenient for buying water and snacks.
Check-in
Sherwood Residence Ho Chi Minh
Check-in is available from 2 PM. We arrived before 2 PM, so we first requested luggage storage service, and to secure a room on a good floor, we asked to check in first, explaining we'd go up to the room later~~
We completed check-in by paying the deposit with a card.
We reiterated our request for a room on a higher floor.
Communication was absolutely seamless as English was very well spoken. (Well, actually, my friend is the one who's great at English!~^^)
During check-in, they provided us with all the necessary information, including how to use the hotel facilities, the free shuttle schedule, swimming pool hours, and restaurant operating times.
When you tap your room key, an iron gate opens.
Once inside, you can access the elevators, and all facilities except for the restaurant are located within this secure area, giving you a strong sense of safety.

Detailed Review of Sherwood Residence's 3-Bedroom Executive Room
Overall, it's modern and impeccably clean.
The corridors feel more like a hotel than an apartment building, and it really gives you the impression that the property is very well-maintained!~~
Room Layout and Space
The Three-Bedroom Executive is truly spacious.
With three separate bedrooms, it was absolutely perfect for staying with family or friends.
Each bedroom offered privacy, while the living area provided a wonderful space for us to spend time together. It struck the perfect balance and was exactly the type of room we were looking for.
The living room features a large sofa and a dining table, ideal for relaxing or enjoying simple meals.
In the evenings, we mostly gathered around this table for lively chats, and sometimes we'd sit on the sofa to plan our adventures for the next day.
The rooms and bathrooms are arranged with this hallway in between.
There were two convenient empty spaces for bags,
so we utilized them for our luggage.
Bedrooms and Bedding
There are three bedrooms, with one being the largest room,
featuring a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom.
It also has a separate vanity and a desk,
and even a TV, making it a very spacious bedroom
that's easily comfortable enough for two people.
Another bedroom comes with two single beds,
a desk, a bookshelf, and a wardrobe.
While it comfortably accommodates two, there isn't much space for luggage,
so we used the aforementioned empty space (right in front of this room)
to store our suitcases, which was really convenient.
Finally, the room closest to the living area
is a bedroom with just one single bed,
making it perfectly spacious for a solo traveler!~~
The bedding was clean and incredibly comfortable.
The mattress had just the right firmness for a truly restful sleep.
Plus, each bedroom has its own individually installed air conditioner,
so everyone can adjust the temperature to their preference.
With both curtains and blinds available,
light blocking is excellent, ensuring you can fully relax and recharge.
Bathroom Facilities
Having two bathrooms was incredibly convenient!
One is located near the living room, and the other is en-suite in the main bedroom.
This meant we didn't have to wait for each other in the mornings,
making our routines so much smoother.
This is the living room bathroom. The bathtub is generously sized,
so showering was absolutely comfortable.
The water pressure was strong, and hot water flowed perfectly.
All the essentials were working flawlessly.
The bathroom in the main bedroom is even larger than the one near the living room.
With two sinks, it's perfect for getting ready together in the morning,
allowing you to start your day quickly and efficiently.
Here too, there's a large bathtub instead of a separate shower stall.
It was very convenient to use.
Amenities included shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion, and they were all good quality.
Clean towels were plentiful, and of course, a hairdryer was provided.
The bathrooms are spacious and well-ventilated, so there was no hint of mildew smell,
and the floors weren't slippery, ensuring a safe experience.
Kitchen and Cooking Facilities
While there's a kitchen available for simple cooking, we didn't really use it extensively.
It's perfect for families who want to whip up a quick breakfast. You'll find a microwave, electric kettle, refrigerator, and even dishes and cooking utensils.
The refrigerator is large enough to store plenty of water and fruit,
and it was great for heating up food bought from the convenience store.
Although a generous supply of water is provided,
since it's a hot country and you tend to drink a lot,
we sometimes bought extra bottled water.
You'll find all the basic kitchenware you need –
cups, plates, spoons, forks, and more – all ready for you!
Cleanliness
The cleanliness of the room was incredibly satisfying.
It was spotless from the moment we checked in, and we received daily
housekeeping service.
They meticulously took care of everything: changing bed sheets and towels,
cleaning the bathroom, and even sweeping the floors.
It was impeccably clean, not a speck of dust,
and the bathroom was especially sparkling.
They also emptied the trash daily
and refilled the bottled water.

Pool & Facilities
There's an outdoor swimming pool on the first floor of Sherwood Residence.
While not huge, it was clean and well-maintained, and seemed especially great for kids to play in.
We were so busy exploring that we didn't get a chance to use it, which is a bit of a shame...
With a kids' club right next to it,
it would be absolutely perfect for families traveling with children.
They could splash around in the pool, then head over to the kids' club for more fun~~
The pool hours are from 6 AM to 10 PM, and towels are provided free of charge.
There are also locker rooms and showers, making it super convenient to use.
The fitness center is located right in front of the pool.
It's equipped with basic exercise machines like treadmills, cycles, and weight equipment.
While not massive, it was certainly big enough for a quick workout.
That's just my impression from a quick peek! 😄😄
To enjoy the facilities, including the pool, you'll need to bring your room key.
Safety is guaranteed within the hotel, so you don't have to worry even if your kids are playing around.
Up the stairs from the lobby, you'll find a cafe and a restaurant.
I believe breakfast is also served here.
We didn't opt for breakfast, so I can't share a review on that. Haha.
Although we didn't get to use it, the biggest perk of Sherwood Residence seems to be their
free shuttle bus to major city areas.
With shuttles going to places like Ben Thanh Market and shopping malls,
if you time it right, you won't have to worry much about transportation.

At night, it lights up beautifully like this.
There are plenty of comfortable spots to relax while checking in or out,
or even while waiting for your Grab, which I thought was a fantastic touch~~
With a vibe as grand as any luxury hotel lobby,
Ho Chi Minh's Sherwood Residence
was simply fantastic all around.

Check-out time is 12:00 PM.
The check-out process is quick and simple too.
You only wait a short while for room inspection.
What I was most satisfied with was the post-check-out
luggage storage service.
Since we had a late afternoon flight,
we requested it at the front desk, and they gladly stored our bags.
With the luggage storage room conveniently located right next to the counter,
our bags were kept super safe, and we could pick them up anytime we needed them.
After lunch, we returned to Sherwood Residence to drop off our morning shopping,
and even then, they were so considerate.
They made sure we could easily organize our belongings.
Thanks to this, we could enjoy our final sightseeing
light and free, without our bags.
Even when we went to pick up our luggage before heading to the airport in the evening,
they greeted us with such kindness.
Thanks to these thoughtful services,
our trip remained comfortable right up to the very end.
My Sherwood Residence Experience & Satisfaction
I booked it on MyRealTrip for around ~$117 per night,
and considering the spaciousness of the room,
that it was a weekend, and all the convenient facilities,
I'd say it offers fantastic value for money!
If four people are staying together,
it's honestly not easy to find a suitable room.
It's more affordable than booking two separate standard hotel rooms,
offering much more space and comfort.
With a kitchen and laundry facilities,
it's also perfect for longer stays! ♡
Especially if you're planning your trip around Ho Chi Minh city tours,
the location is absolutely superb.
Once you get a feel for the area,
you'll find yourself walking to most places!
If you're traveling as a family with kids,
the kids' club and swimming pool are a huge plus,
and if you prefer clean and safe accommodation,
I think it's truly the best choice.
The luggage storage service was incredibly helpful.
It allowed us to leisurely sightsee after check-out,
enjoy a meal, and then head to the airport,
making sure we made the most of every last moment
of our trip!
If I ever visit Ho Chi Minh again, I'd definitely choose Sherwood Residence once more.
If you're planning a family trip or a getaway with friends,
