Are you planning a trip to Phu Quoc, Vietnam's premier resort destination,
for a relaxing family getaway?
Phu Quoc is an incredible spot where you can enjoy both relaxation and sightseeing,
boasting beautifully developed resorts and plenty of attractions and activities scattered throughout.

However, since taxis are essentially a must for getting around,
choosing the right hotel location from the start is key.
Today, I'll share my recommendations for the best Phu Quoc accommodation locations,
fantastic value-for-money resorts, and even reveal the 💡secret to booking them at the lowest prices!

Phu Quoc can be broadly divided into North, Central, and South regions,
with each area offering distinct characteristics.
Generally speaking, the North was developed by the VinGroup, while the South was developed by the Sun Group.
The Central region is relatively more local, but within it,
Sonasea is where you'll find a cluster of resorts.

While each region has its own pros and cons,
the area I'd highly recommend is the North.

Given that the North has been developed by VinGroup,
it's home to two of Vietnam's most iconic tourist spots, Vinpearl Safari and VinWonders.
This means there are tons of attractions for families to enjoy.

And beyond that, Grand World, designed like a vibrant city of water,
is packed with diverse eateries, so you'll have an abundance of delicious food options!

The North boasts a variety of luxurious resorts.
Among them, the one I personally chose was the Sheraton Long Beach Resort.
While the Sheraton name certainly holds prestige,
I was particularly swayed by reviews mentioning that it attracted far more Western guests than Korean visitors.

Plus, it offers the fantastic perk of free bus shuttles to Vinpearl Safari and VinWonders,
which I mentioned earlier!
Of course, these points were important, but the most significant factor in my decision was the incredible price.
Despite being a resort, one-night bookings were possible, and the accommodation cost was incredibly affordable, in the low ~$100s per night.
While Phu Quoc is teeming with 5-star resorts, finding one you can enjoy at such an amazing price is incredibly rare,
so I booked it without a moment's hesitation!

Moving on, I'll share my experience staying in a Deluxe Room at Sheraton Long Beach Resort.

From the entrance to the lounge and lobby, the Sheraton Resort exuded a luxurious vibe throughout.

The Deluxe Room I stayed in featured a king-sized bed, a single-person sofa, a table, a chair, and a wardrobe, among other things.
Especially the bed, as you can see in the photos, was incredibly spacious and plush for two people. Lying on it felt like my body just melted into pure bliss...!

The Deluxe Room was incredibly spacious, allowing me to fully open two 24-inch suitcases without any hassle.
Plus, the air conditioning was fantastic, making my stay at the hotel comfortable and refreshing the entire time!

As for room amenities, tea bags, coffee, sugar, a coffee pot, mugs, glasses, and a refrigerator were all provided.

Additionally, robes, hangers, ironing equipment, a safe, disposable slippers, and outdoor slippers were also available for us to use freely!

As expected from a resort, I loved that they even provided outdoor slippers!

The bathroom, too, was made of marble, giving it a luxurious and refreshing feel.
The bathroom included a sink, a bathtub, a shower booth, and a toilet.

Even with a bathtub, there was also a separate shower booth, which made it convenient to use both. It was great to have the bathtub for a relaxing soak,
The best part is, you can truly unwind and let go of the day's stresses!

As for bathroom amenities, you'll find shampoo, conditioner, body wash,
soap, fresh towels, body lotion, a shower cap, and a hairdryer.
Toothbrushes, toothpaste, and combs are all provided.

When we booked our Deluxe Room, we didn't really expect much from the view,
but we were treated to a stunning, deep blue ocean view!
Since it offered views of both the ocean and the pool,
it was the perfect spot to sit on the terrace and enjoy a cup of coffee!
Next up, I'll dive into two other highlights that really make a resort special:
the swimming pool and the breakfast buffet!
The Swimming Pool

The Sheraton Resort's swimming area boasts an impressively spacious main pool.
It's overwhelmingly huge!
This makes it perfect for swimming laps from one side to the other;
it's truly fantastic!

What's more, there's a swim-up bar right in the middle of the main pool,
so you can enjoy a refreshing beer while you swim!
With views extending beyond the pool all the way to the beach,
it's impossible not to feel truly immersed in romance.

Plus, there's a separate, shallower children's pool,
making it a fantastic spot for kids to splash around!

What's more, just beyond the pool, you can also take a dip in the private beach.
This means you can enjoy swimming in both the pool and the sea,
offering the best of both worlds for water activities!
There are plenty of bean bags and sunbeds scattered around,
making it perfect for relaxing and gazing out at the ocean – pure bliss!
The pool is genuinely massive,
and having a private beach right in front of it is incredible.
As a big fan of swimming, I was absolutely thrilled!
The Breakfast Buffet

Now, let's talk about the Sheraton Resort's breakfast buffet.
Here's my take on it!

The Sheraton buffet is quite extensive,
with plenty of seating, so it never felt overly crowded.
Below, I'll share some of the dishes I particularly enjoyed,
focusing on my favorites!

First off, when you come to a Vietnamese resort, one thing you absolutely must eat
is pho, and I found that here, the broth
was rich and utterly delicious!
Just sipping the broth felt like a perfect hangover cure!

And the banh mi, egg dishes like fried eggs,
and the dim sum varieties were absolutely delicious!
Especially the dim sum in the picture above was warm,
and so satisfyingly filled that I just kept reaching for more.

Another great advantage of the Sheraton is that
you can enjoy Korean food!
They have Kimchi Jjigae, Kimchi, Geotjeori, and more,
so even if you're traveling with your parents, they'll surely enjoy their meals.

It wasn't just the food menu that was diverse;
the drinks and coffee selection was fantastic too.
Among them, the Vietnamese coconut coffee and
fresh orange juice really hit the spot for me.

The fresh orange juice, especially, was squeezed right from the oranges in a machine,
making it incredibly delicious – I drank it multiple times! You absolutely have to try it.

From morning, I filled my plate with various dishes
and enjoyed a truly delicious meal.
From appetizers to dessert and coffee,
every bite was so fulfilling that my satisfaction level was incredibly high!
Today, I've introduced you to the
Sheraton Long Beach Resort, a place I highly recommend as a resort in Northern Phu Quoc.

From the room quality and swimming pool to the breakfast buffet,
it lived up to its reputation as a luxury resort,
making it a highly satisfying stay.
Despite all that, it was affordable at around ~$104 per night,
so the travel expenses weren't a burden at all.

It's a place I'd love to revisit if I ever come to Phu Quoc again,
so if you're thinking about a resort in the northern part, I highly recommend it!
A one-night stay at the Sheraton Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort is typically around ~$104. Despite being a 5-star resort, it's often noted for its affordable pricing.
The Deluxe Room comes standard with amenities such as tea bags, coffee, sugar, a coffee maker, mugs, glasses, and a refrigerator. Additionally, bathrobes, hangers, ironing facilities, a safe, and disposable and outdoor slippers are also provided.
Guests staying at the Sheraton Long Beach Resort can utilize a complimentary bus shuttle service to Vinpearl Safari and VinWonders. This is highlighted as one of the resort's key advantages.
At the breakfast buffet, the rich-broth pho and the warm, generously filled dim sum are highly recommended. Additionally, Korean dishes such as Kimchi Jjigae, Kimchi, and Geotjeori (fresh kimchi) are also provided for Korean guests.
The resort's swimming facilities consist of an impressively large main pool and a shallow children's pool. There is a bar located in the center of the main pool, and guests can also enjoy water activities at the private beach beyond the pool area.
