Sapa Pine Hill Ecolodge is
nestled on a scenic hillside just a 5-minute walk
from Sapa Square, the very heart of downtown Sapa, Vietnam.
Its close proximity to the town center makes getting around a breeze,
and with plenty of local restaurants and cafes nearby,
it’s the perfect base for independent travelers exploring Sapa.
Sapa Pine Hill Ecolodge is an incredibly value-packed accommodation, with standard rooms starting from around ~$32,
and beautiful private bungalows available for around ~$64 per night.
While it can get a bit noisy when there are events happening at the nearby square,
the stunning morning views from the terrace, delicious breakfast, and warm service make it all worth it.
I was completely won over by the cozy, nature-immersed vibes
combined with such easy access to downtown. Overall, it was a highly satisfying stay!

Sapa Pine Hill Ecolodge is
located just about a 5-minute walk from Sapa Square, the main town plaza,
making it a beautifully serene yet highly accessible hillside retreat.
With its lovely blend of brick and natural wood elements,
this eco-lodge style hotel wraps you in a warm,
rustic, and incredibly cozy atmosphere.
Even this little seating nook
tucked away on one side of the building feels effortlessly aesthetic.
Cars can drive right up to the entrance,
and the friendly staff immediately come out to welcome you the moment you arrive.
We were served refreshing welcome drinks
during our check-in, which was both fast and incredibly hospitable.
While we were checking in, the staff member mentioned they had a little surprise gift for us.
I wondered if it was some kind of local Sapa souvenir, but it turned out to be a room upgrade!
We had originally booked a Deluxe Double Room,
but they generously upgraded us to a Design Bungalow with a stunning hill view.
What a fantastic way to kick off our stay!
A Peek Inside the Design Bungalow (Hill View / 1-Bedroom Villa)
After completing the check-in,
the staff member personally carried our heavy luggage up to our bungalow.
Since our bags were pretty heavy, I offered to carry them myself,
but they insisted on carrying them all the way. I was so incredibly grateful for their kindness!
Step inside, and this is the cozy living room that welcomes you right as you open the door.
The bungalow features a cozy living room on the 1st floor, and a bedroom, bathroom, and private terrace on the 2nd floor.
Maybe because it's perched up on a hill,
the room was flooded with beautiful, warm sunlight.
Overall, the vibe was incredibly bright and clean.
Complimentary bottled water, coffee, and tea bags are thoughtfully provided.
Tucked away right under the stairs leading to the second floor,
you'll find the fridge and electric kettle.
Since the bedroom is upstairs,
having the fridge on the first floor was a tiny bit inconvenient.
As soon as you walk up to the second floor,
you'll see an open closet right in front of you.
It's stocked with two cozy bathrobes and two umbrellas.
The second floor houses the bedroom and bathroom.
The bathroom has glass walls,
but don't worry—there are blinds for complete privacy!
The bathroom is a decent size and doesn't feel cramped at all.
Plus, it features a wooden bathtub that perfectly matches the rustic lodge aesthetic.
However, there might be a limit on the hot water capacity.
At first, the hot water was running great, but after a while,
it turned lukewarm, almost cold. (It was back to normal the next morning, though!)
Since the room has a bathtub, it would be great if they could improve this aspect.
For toiletries, refillable shampoo and body wash are provided,
along with disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste.
The bedroom has a super cozy, attic-like feel to it.
The bedding was plush, fluffy, and sparkling clean.
As I mentioned in my quick summary earlier,
there is no TV in this room.
(I'm guessing this might be the case for the other rooms too.)
I was a bit taken aback at first, but with no TV,
I ended up sitting on the quiet terrace, feeling the cool breeze,
and just taking in the stunning views of Sapa town. It actually turned out to be much better!
Just a heads up, since the ceiling is directly under the roof,
you can hear a bit of the roof rattling on really windy days.
Also, the bells from the nearby Sapa Church sound quite loud in the early morning.
But to be fair, the church bells are something you'd probably hear from any hotel in this area.
Sapa Pine Hill Ecolodge Breakfast Review
The breakfast restaurant at Sapa Pine Hill Ecolodge
is decorated with a warm, cozy lodge aesthetic.
With its wooden tables, unique floor tiles, and warm lighting,
it feels just like a charming little mountain cabin.
The restaurant also has outdoor terrace seating,
so you can overlook Sapa's main square while enjoying your meal.
On clear days, you can see all the way to the lush mountain ridges,
making it the absolute definition of a "breakfast spot with a view."
Breakfast is served buffet-style,
and while the selection isn't massive, everything was clean, fresh, and delicious.
In addition to fruits, pastries, and salads, they also offer a mix of Western and Vietnamese options.
You can order egg dishes and noodle soup directly from the staff,
and they will whip them up fresh for you right on the spot.
The noodle soup options change daily,
so we never got bored of it during our two-day stay.
Overall, Sapa Pine Hill Ecolodge
offered incredible value for money during our time in Sapa.
Between the clean facilities, the super friendly service from the staff,
and taking in the stunning views of downtown Sapa with a cool breeze on the terrace, it was truly unforgettable.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious, too!
Its location near the main square made getting around incredibly easy.
