Booking Steps & Recommended Options

Set your drop-off location: I requested direct drop-off at my hotel in Sapa.

I opted for the upper-level single cabin, anticipating a less confined space and better views.

My Honest Review of the Hanoi - Sapa G8 Overnight Bus
I took the overnight bus departing Hanoi at 10:30 PM.
On the day of departure, after a fun day exploring Hanoi, I made my way to the G8 Main Terminal (office) independently.
💡 Small tip: Use the small restroom inside the office before departure!

The bus interior was much cleaner than I expected, and it felt surprisingly comfortable to lie down.
Being just under 5 feet 3 inches tall, the length of the berth was perfect for me. However, if you're 6 feet or taller, you might find the legroom a bit snug.
Each seat comes with a USB charging port, a blanket, and a bottle of water. Drawing the curtain creates a completely private, independent space.
(I couldn't figure out how to turn off the cabin light and fumbled with the switch for a while 😅, so I ended up using an eye mask. Definitely recommend bringing one!)

Departing at 10:30 PM, we made two rest stops along the way and arrived at the Sapa Bus Terminal around 6:30 AM the next morning.
While it was too early for hotel check-in, the hotel drop-off service I requested when booking made it easy to get to my accommodation and store my luggage.
The biggest advantage of an overnight bus is that it saves on accommodation costs and allows you to start your day early and make the most of your time!
Although I was a little tired from sleeping on the bus, I still got good rest and was very satisfied with the experience.
