How to Get from Rome Termini Station to the Airport Airport Bus Review & Booking Tips All rights reserved, J's Records |

When I kicked off my Rome adventure, I took the airport bus
from Fiumicino Airport straight to Termini Station.
It was so incredibly convenient and budget-friendly,
that I decided to book it again for my final journey
from Termini Station back to the airport.
If you're planning a European getaway,
you know how quickly expenses can add up thanks to exchange rates.
We all want to save a few bucks, but after days of exploring, you just want a comfortable ride.
That's exactly where the Rome Airport Bus (SIT) comes in!

Boarding is an absolute breeze,
and at just €7 (about ~$9) per person,
it offers unbeatable value for your money.
Since it takes you straight to the airport just like a taxi would,
there’s really no reason not to take it.
Let me break down my experience traveling from Termini Station to the airport,
including booking methods and the timetable.
There are three main ways to get from
Termini Station to Fiumicino Airport.
1. Taxi / Uber: €70+ (approx. ~$100)
2. Train: €14 (approx. ~$17)
3. Airport Bus: €7 (approx. ~$9)
Sure, taxis offer the perk of door-to-door service.
But when you're on a long Euro-trip lugging around
massive suitcases, you might need to hail a larger cab,
which can skyrocket the price and blow your budget.

The Rome airport bus I opted for allows up to two suitcases per person.
Plus, it departs right in front of Termini Station,
making the stop incredibly easy to locate.
It's a direct route to the airport, making it the ultimate budget-friendly choice.
That's exactly why I booked a round-trip ticket!
Here is where I found the best price for my booking.

We aimed for a bus about 4 hours before our flight time,
and arrived at the bus stop 10 minutes early according to the schedule.
We stayed at a hotel right across from Termini Station,
so we just walked over.
If you are navigating your way to Termini,
just map your route to the Premier Best Western Hotel,
and you'll spot the bus stop right there.

The bus pulled up about 5-10 minutes early.
We just pulled up our QR codes, showed them to the staff,
they scanned them, and we hopped right on.
It's open seating, so you can grab any spot you like!
The driver handles loading your bags into the undercarriage,
which was a huge relief for us.
We had 3 large suitcases with us,
and being able to bring them without any restrictive limits was fantastic.

The interior was surprisingly spacious and spotless.
✔ USB charging available at every seat
✔ Free Wi-Fi onboard
✔ Plenty of empty seats, avoiding any cramped feeling
✔ Excellent climate control (heater/AC) to keep things perfectly comfortable
Honestly, I couldn't believe this level of quality was only €7 (~$9) per person.
Compared to a taxi, the convenience was practically identical.
Seriously.

Since the bus wasn't packed, I stretched out
and took a solid nap all the way to the airport.
We arrived at Fiumicino Airport in exactly 55 minutes!
Since it's a direct route with no stops,
the estimated arrival time was incredibly accurate.
It really is just as good as a cab, right?
