🥩Osaka Teppanyaki Hotspot
I highly recommend Steak House Roin if you are:
✔︎ Looking for a top-tier teppanyaki restaurant in Osaka
✔︎ Searching for a dining spot that's perfect for parents
✔︎ Wanting a restaurant with an upscale, elegant atmosphere

While planning my trip to Osaka, Japan, I was looking for local-approved spots.
I heard about a fantastic teppanyaki restaurant near Osaka's Fukushima Station,
located on the 3rd floor of the Hotel Hanshin, so I just had to check it out.

As soon as I arrived on the 3rd floor, the entrance had an undeniably upscale vibe.
My heart was already fluttering with excitement before we even sat down!
The Interior

The interior features counter seating, allowing you to watch the chef cook right in front of you.
It’s a total feast for the eyes as much as the palate!
The Suzukaze Course

We decided to try the "Suzukaze" course.
Once we were shown to our seats, we found the table set
beautifully and neatly, just like in the picture.

The course included appetizers, grilled squid and vegetables,
grilled scallops, grilled foie gras tofu,
grilled white fish, salad,
Australian beef tenderloin steak, garlic rice,
and finally, dessert.
The 3 Appetizers

First, we were served a simmered beef sandwich with a hint of Japanese pepper (sansho),
beef jelly, and a Japanese-style oxtail soup.
Just by the names, the sandwich and oxtail soup sounded amazing—
and they absolutely delivered in flavor.
The "beef jelly" sounded a bit unusual, but once I took a bite,
it reminded me of a delicate Korean-style pressed meat (pyeonyuk) and was surprisingly delicious.
Grilled Squid & Vegetables

Next up was the grilled squid and vegetables.
Watching them prepare it right in front of us was mesmerizing, and the presentation was absolutely beautiful.
The squid was perfectly tender and chewy.
I’m usually not a big fan of veggies,
but combining the squid with the grilled vegetables made it an absolute flavor bomb!
Grilled Scallops & Green Onions

Since I love scallops, I was looking forward to this dish the most.
Seeing the plump, juicy scallops grilling on the teppan got me so excited!
They served it with a wonderfully creamy sauce
that perfectly complemented the scallops.

I tried them together right away,
and the chewy, tender texture of the scallop paired with the rich, signature sauce
was a match made in heaven.
Personally, maybe because the scallops literally melted in my mouth,
it was my absolute favorite dish after the steak.
Teppanyaki Foie Gras & Tofu

Next up was the teppanyaki foie gras and tofu.
We already knew foie gras is delicious,
but I honestly expected the tofu to just taste like plain tofu.
However, pairing it with the foie gras and their special sauce
turned it into an absolute delicacy!
Teppanyaki White Fish

Next, they served white fish wrapped in bacon (?)
grilled right on the teppan. It was incredibly tender,
the bacon wasn't overly salty, and the sauce was so delicious
that we ended up scraping every last drop off the plate.
The fish itself was great, but that sauce was truly next-level.
Salad

They showed us three different dressings so we could choose
the one that suited our taste best.
Since there were three of us, we each picked a different one
to try them all. Personally, instead of the Japanese-style mayo dressing
that I selected,
the paprika-infused dressing my dad chose was actually much tastier!
So, I highly recommend going with the paprika dressing.
Australian Tenderloin Steak

The meat they showed us before cooking!!!
Just look at that vibrant pink color—you can tell it's incredibly fresh, right?

They grilled up some fresh veggies, and just looking at the steak made me happy—
but then the chef treated us to an amazing fire show!!!
It was truly a feast for the eyes from start to finish.

Just from the color of the meat, I knew it was going to be delicious,
and even with my sky-high expectations, it absolutely blew me away.

Best of all, they cook it perfectly to your individual preference.
I went with medium-rare, while my mom and dad chose well-done.

You can enjoy the steak with the salt provided on the table,
or with the special condiments served specifically for the meat.

So you can eat the steak as is or customize each bite to your liking.
Personally, the wasabi was my absolute favorite pairing.
Garlic Rice

You know how we Koreans love to finish a meal with rice?
It seems Japan isn't much different! Right after the steak,
the chef whipped up some garlic rice right before our eyes.

Before frying the rice, they make these crispy garlic flakes,
and sprinkling them on top of the garlic rice
makes it taste a hundred times better!

To go with the garlic rice,
they served pickled vegetables and miso soup. Since I'm not super used to Japanese pickles,
I hesitated at first, wondering "should I eat this or not?"
But it actually had a wonderfully crunchy texture that I really enjoyed.
Also, miso soup can sometimes be a bit too salty at some places,
but Steakhouse Loin got it perfectly right—not salty at all!
Finishing up with the rice left us feeling completely full and incredibly satisfied.

We also got to choose our drinks. My mom and I went with Coke,
while we ordered a glass of red wine for my dad to go with his steak.
The pairing of the juicy, tender steak with the red wine
was an absolute match made in heaven.
While we picked red wine for my dad to pair with the steak,
the locals dining next to us seemed to prefer white wine,
perhaps because of the white fish course.
So, I highly recommend ordering a wine that suits your personal taste!
Dessert

Once your main course is finished, you get to choose your dessert.
There were three options available, and after making your selection,
you are guided to a separate table just for dessert!

The dessert tables were beautifully set up, just like in the photo.

Our coffee arrived just before the desserts,
and we could easily customize it to our liking
with the provided cream and sugar.
Yamazaki Mont Blanc

This is the Mont Blanc, and as they served it,
they drizzled a splash of liqueur right on top!
The food here is incredible, but they are also total masters of table-side performance.
Summer Fruit Cream Soda

The cream soda and ice cream were fantastic,
but the perfectly sweet summer fruits made it even better.
Sherbet and Fruit

The fruits served with the sherbet were incredibly sweet,
and the sherbet itself had a next-level sweet and refreshing kick,
making it the absolute perfect end to our dinner.

Reserving Steak House Loin
Steak House Loin is mostly frequented by locals,
giving it an authentic local gem vibe.
True to its upscale reputation, the staff was exceptionally kind and professional.

making it a huge hit with my parents!

There are three types of salad dressings available, so you can choose according to your preference. We recommend choosing the paprika dressing over the mayonnaise-based Japanese-style dressing.
