If you book a stay at Residenza 62, paying close attention to their pre-arrival messages is crucial. This place takes security very seriously! You'll need to enter three different passcodes just to reach your room, all of which are sent via message before you arrive. If you're someone who worries about safety around the Termini area, this top-notch security will give you total peace of mind.
If you booked through Agoda like I did, keep an eye on your Agoda inbox for these codes.

The main building entrance and the second door use the same passcode. Once inside, hop on the elevator to the second floor. When you step out, you'll be greeted by another secure door requiring a different code, as shown below.

Enter the specific code provided for this keypad. Note that this is a completely different passcode from the main building entrance!

Once you've successfully navigated the three passcodes, you'll finally step into the hotel corridor. You can check in at the designated reception area here. If you happen to arrive after standard check-in hours, don't worry—just reach out via the messaging app detailed in your booking confirmation (they often use WhatsApp or KakaoTalk for international guests).
1) Send your reservation name and booking number via message.
2) Send a photo of the passports for all guests staying.
3) Receive instructions on your room number and how to get your keys.
4) The Rome city tax can be paid by card or cash (if paying cash, just leave it in the room when checking out).

This is the cozy reception area! There's a guestbook, a water dispenser, and a selection of light snacks. It definitely gave me those welcoming, free-hostel-snack vibes.

There are also tables where you can hang out or catch up on some work. With the free, fast Wi-Fi provided, it’s a perfect little spot to use your laptop.

I booked a triple room equipped with a double bed and a sofa bed. It's always fascinating how historic European buildings look so old on the outside but are completely modernized and spotless inside. The room was incredibly clean, and I slept like a baby. I only stayed here for one night before moving to another pre-booked spot, but I honestly would have happily stayed here for my entire Rome trip. The windows provided great ventilation, which I really appreciated.

Thanks to the comfy bed, I got a fantastic night's sleep on my first day in Rome and woke up totally refreshed for exploring.

There were plenty of electrical outlets scattered around the room, making it super easy to charge my phone, camera, and power bank all at once.

When unfolded, the sofa transforms into a very decent sofa bed. Triple rooms in Europe often rely on these, and surprisingly, they make for a really comfortable sleeping setup.

There was also a handy full-length mirror.

All the standard hotel amenities you'd expect were provided.

The bottled water in the mini-fridge is complimentary! On top of that, you can always refill your own travel bottle at the reception's water dispenser. Disposable cups are also available there if you need them.

Be sure to check the in-room manual for all the hotel rules and useful information.

You have full control over the air conditioning and heating right from the room.

The bathroom was equally spotless and very comfortable to use. It even comes with a wall-mounted hairdryer.

The shower stall featured both a standard showerhead and a rainfall shower, complete with complimentary shampoo and body wash.

Having a window in the room for fresh air and natural sunlight was definitely a highlight. I still remember waking up to the charming sound of the local trams passing by in the morning.

While the multi-step entry process might feel a bit unfamiliar at first, once you get the hang of it, you'll absolutely love the convenience and comfort of this place. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for families or anyone looking to minimize walking distances with heavy luggage!
