Of course, if you've always wanted to experience Porto's charming trams, this would be a perfect opportunity. (Personally, just admiring them was enough for me!)

Stepping out of the taxi, I was immediately drawn to the ocean stretching out before me.

After spending so much time in the city, seeing the distant horizon of the Atlantic was a truly refreshing sight. There's just something about the ocean, isn't there?

We strolled along a long pathway that stretched out like a pier towards a lighthouse.

Along the way, we grabbed some roasted chestnuts.

Curious about their popularity, I bought a bag. Unlike what I'm used to, they're sold with the shells still on, which means a bit of effort to peel each one!

Still, it was a charming way to soak in the local Porto vibe.

With our roasted chestnuts in hand, we continued our joyful walk closer to the ocean.

The faint sunset in the distance was already captivating.

After exploring Porto's bustling streets, seeing the vast ocean in the distance felt incredibly refreshing.

The sight of countless waves crashing against the rocks between the small lighthouses was truly impressive.

The sheer force of the ocean was evident; the water wasn't just blue, but almost white with foam from the constant impact.

Puddles of water collected along the path. On our way back, we noticed that every now and then, a particularly large wave would surge over the walkway. (Secretly, I got my feet wet trying to avoid one!)

Reaching the end of the path, we saw numerous fishermen.

I wondered what kind of fish they might catch here at Foz do Douro, where the Douro River meets the Atlantic.

Seeing various tourists enjoying the "end of the Atlantic," we decided to join them.

As we settled down, we noticed a small lighthouse (or something similar?) and admired some graffiti, which is quite common in Porto.

I kept glancing at the fishermen, wondering what they might be catching, but there wasn't any action. (Made me wonder if they ever actually caught anything!)

Gazing at the distant Atlantic horizon, all my worries seemed to melt away, leaving me in a peaceful state of contemplation.

And what better way to enjoy the ocean view than with a cold beer? (So glad we picked up a couple of cans beforehand!)

The sunset, with the sun slowly dipping below the horizon, was truly beautiful, though I wished there were fewer clouds that day.

Enjoying a beer with our nata (custard tarts) from Fabrica da Nata and the roasted chestnuts we bought at the entrance of Foz do Douro was just perfect.

It's amazing how delicious nata still is, even when it's cooled!

After a relaxing beer, it was time to head back.
