We were on a quest for the most delicious tteokbokki in the Samsong and Jichuk areas, and what a discovery we made!
In Samsong-Wonheung, we stumbled upon #PocoPocoSamsong, an incredible instant tteokbokki spot!

When I first saw the name #PocoPocoSamsong, I wondered if it was because you "pokko pokko" (a Korean onomatopoeia for stirring/mixing) the tteokbokki. But it turns out 'poco a poco' is Italian for "little by little" or "gradually." What a lovely name, suggesting you should savor your delicious meal slowly!
While waiting for our tteokbokki, we discovered an arcade game machine!

There was a retro arcade game, so we quickly jumped in for a round. Playing games while waiting for tteokbokki to cook? Such a brilliant idea!
There were various games, and we picked a rather unique fighting game, even older than Street Fighter. It was surprisingly fun, haha!

It seems many celebrities, not just Key, have visited this spot. The walls are covered with celebrity autographs! This tteokbokki restaurant has been around for about 10 years, definitely a seasoned veteran in the food scene.

Check out the self-serve bar for danmuji (pickled radish)!
The self-serve station also has cute yellow and green small plates, scissors, and tongs.

Grab just enough danmuji for your meal. My Sunkist lemon temporary tattoo on my arm was quite the eye-catcher!

Inside Poco Poco Samsong, you'll find four-person tables, arcade games, and even high chairs for little ones. I also spotted a basketball hoop – perhaps you can shoot some hoops here too!
The tables conveniently have photos and menus for easy browsing.
My friend Yongbam looked at the menu and said it would be perfect to come back for fried squid and beer. When we asked about the most popular items, they confirmed that fried squid and fried sundae (blood sausage) are indeed customer favorites. We definitely need to return for some fried squid and a cold draft beer!

And finally, our 2-person assorted tteokbokki from Poco Poco Samsong arrived!
The rice cakes are the chewy, soft 'mill tteok' variety. It even comes with two boiled eggs, so no fighting over them – we could share nicely!
The tteokbokki comes with bean sprouts, jjolmyeon (chewy noodles), and eggs as standard, along with fried gim-mari (seaweed rolls) and yakki mandu (fried dumplings). It’s great that you don't need to add these as extras; they're already included!

Seeing the menu mentioned a spicy sauce, we asked for it!

The extra spicy sauce, containing red chili peppers, should be added gradually, not all at once.
Of course, being a huge fan of spicy food, I dumped it all in at once, much to Yongbam's fiery dismay!

We also added cheese and flying fish roe fried rice for ~$3.

The fried rice was so delicious we scraped the pot clean! You could order plain rice balls and mix your own fried rice, but ordering it pre-made is probably the tastier option.

We left a review on Naver (a popular Korean search engine) with our receipt and got a free soda! Zero Coca-Cola is the best!

They also offer takeout in special containers perfect for heating directly while camping. The container costs an additional ~$1.

They offer refreshing draft beer and have a cute mini ice maker. What's that machine on the right?! And, of course, they clearly display the origin of their ingredients.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We'll definitely be back next time for tteokbokki and beer, or perhaps fried squid and beer!

Parking is available behind the store, though spots can be limited.
