Discover Chamsot KINTEX in Ilsan, a must-visit for delicious hot pot rice and an amazing unlimited buffet bar. Perfect for families and KINTEX visitors!
Embarking on a hot pot rice adventure in Ilsan! ✌🏻
Ilsan, my city, a place I'd want to be forever.
It's my city of flowers, a city of wonders,
with familiar spots like La Festa and Western Dom,
and the Hagok cram school village that shaped my youth.
It's where nature and city, skyscrapers and blossoms, blend in perfect harmony.
For me, Ilsan Lake Park is even better than the Han River;
though smaller, it embraces you with far more warmth.
As BTS's RM once rapped in 'Ma City,'
that very Lake Park he sang about is right here, in Ilsan!
I recently visited Chamsot KINTEX Branch, a fantastic restaurant near Ilsan KINTEX and Lake Park, located in One Mount.
A pot of true flavor: Chamsot

The Vibe at Chamsot One Mount,
Your Go-To Ilsan Lake Park Restaurant
Chamsot is impossible to miss, visible right from the central ticket plaza of One Mount!
Even on the second floor, its visibility is excellent, and the interior feels incredibly open and spacious.
The table arrangement is thoughtfully designed for both customer comfort and operational efficiency.

While there's no official break time, dinner typically starts around 5:00 PM.
I arrived around 4:55 PM, and after snapping a few photos, Chamsot quickly filled up!
It definitely lives up to its reputation as a famous restaurant near Lake Park.

Including the entrance, the space comfortably accommodates about 8 tables.
What's more, the tables are generously sized, so you won't feel cramped and can enjoy your meal with plenty of space.
Chamsot KINTEX Branch:
The Unlimited Self-Service Buffet

With the plates provided at your table, you can freely enjoy as much as you like from the unlimited self-service buffet.
The menu changes every month, and all the dishes are incredibly tempting and genuinely delicious!

Seasonal Salad (with Oriental/Yuzu dressing)
Chinese-style Mushroom Stir-fry
Acorn Jelly Salad
Tteokbokki
They don't overstock the self-service bar, ensuring a good turnover, so everything is consistently warm, fresh, and replenished promptly.
Later, a child came to get some tteokbokki, and when a fresh, warm batch was refilled, they broke into a huge, beaming smile and skipped away with their plate!〰️〰️

You'll also find three types of traditional Korean side dishes: cubed radish kimchi (kkakdugi), dried radish kimchi (mumallaengi), and perilla leaf kimchi (gungchae jangajji).

Don't forget to check the origin of ingredients!
All cabbage, chili powder, and vegetables are sourced domestically from Korea.
Chamsot KINTEX Branch: Menu & Prices

You can order directly from a tablet at your table.
They offer a wide variety of hot pot rice dishes, and there's even a great Couple Set for two, which includes two hot pot rice dishes and one side dish for ~$36.

We ordered the Avocado Myeongnan (Pollock Roe) Hot Pot Rice 🥑, Abalone Hot Pot Rice, and Grilled Bulgogi.
Seriously, how can anyone resist that delicious pollock roe?

They're also running a review event!
You can get a premium Oranda (a traditional Korean confection) made with rice syrup and assorted nuts, which is a truly special treat.🐿🤍
My Review: Chamsot KINTEX Branch,
An Ilsan Lake Park Must-Visit

I intended to start with just an appetizer from the self-service bar, but it was so delicious that I found myself refilling my plate with wide eyes. It's not a secret anymore! 👀

Our generous hot pot rice Couple Set arrived! 😊

The grilled beef bulgogi, with its smoky aroma and sweet flavor, was served warm and was the perfect accompaniment to our meal! ‼️

Stirring up that Avocado Myeongnan Hot Pot Rice! 〰️〰️🥑🌿
With a generous topping of garlic crunch and furikake, the texture and umami flavor were absolutely insane (in a good way)!

After learning how to best enjoy Chamsot's hot pot rice, I quickly transferred the rice to a separate bowl to create that perfect crispy nurungji (scorched rice) at the bottom.

And check out the Abalone Hot Pot Rice, generously packed with abalone innards!

The empty plates were so thoroughly cleaned, I couldn't even bring myself to upload a photo of them...!
With its wonderful atmosphere and excellent service, Chamsot would be perfect for families visiting Ilsan (I'm truly envious of Ilsan residents!).
It's also conveniently located near KINTEX, making it an ideal spot for a hearty meal for anyone attending KINTEX events.
(And it's a perfect match for concert-goers at Goyang Sports Complex – like me!)

Chamsot specializes in home-style hot pot rice, where even just cooking rice feels like creating a gourmet dish. 🏡

I truly enjoyed my meal!
