Neko Gacha Ilsan (2026): Western Dome's Monchhichi Heaven

My sibling introduced me to a whole new world of Monchhichi gacha at Neko Gacha 2nd Branch (네코가챠 2호점) in Ilsan Western Dome (일산 웨스턴돔)!

You'll find it conveniently located across from the main entrance of Western Dome, right next to Tim Hortons!

While the shop itself isn't huge, it's truly a paradise for Monchhichi (몬치치) fans.

They boast a diverse selection, from Sanrio (산리오) characters to various anime figures and other cute unknowns. However, our sole focus was on the adorable Monchhichi!

You can use both cash and card, but you'll need to exchange them for special tokens to operate the gacha machines.

My sibling, a seasoned visitor to Neko Gacha, kindly guided me through the process.

While I wasn't paying much attention to other characters, the Monchhichi gacha alone offered an impressive 11 different types, with prices ranging from ₩4,000 (~$3) to ₩8,000 (~$6)! It felt like we were in Japan, not Korea!

What's more, the prices were incredibly reasonable. We were thrilled to find them at least ₩1,000 (~$1) to ₩3,000 (~$2) cheaper than other gacha shops.

The variety was fantastic, featuring everything from classic gacha to more recent releases.

I was especially excited to see the Monchhichi keyrings I happily collected during a trip to Tokyo a few years ago! As an older item, it was the most affordable at just ₩4,000 (~$3).

The ₩5,000 (~$4) keyrings were a slightly newer release, and the four types of "Nenne" gacha were absolutely adorable!

From here on, everything seemed like a brand new gacha release to me.

They even had Monchhichi puzzles and mini handbags that were just too cute for words!

These were the Monchhichi band friends, released to commemorate their 50th anniversary!

I even bought a doll during my travels, and now they've released tiny gacha versions!

They also had Monchhichi name tags and even pouches in collaboration with Hello Kitty (키티).

My sibling pulled a pouch, and it had surprisingly great storage capacity!

We happily agonized over what to pull, carefully examining each mini bag and doll keyring.

With a racing heart, the first gacha I tried was the Monchhichi band series.

I secretly wished not to get just a regular Monchhichi friend, so I was overjoyed when I pulled an adorable Bebichhichi (베비치치)!

We both had so much fun collecting Monchhichis! My sibling seemed to love the band Monchhichi I pulled so much that they got another cute one before we left.

While others were collecting various characters, we were dedicated Monchhichi hunters!

Other customers even commented on how cute our Monchhichis were, asking if we had collected them all.

Yes, we certainly did!

Later, while heading to dinner at One Mount (원마운트), we stumbled upon Neko Gacha 1st Branch (네코가챠 1호점)!

We stopped to check if they had any different gacha from the 2nd Branch, but it turned out the selection and prices were identical.

If you're a gacha enthusiast, I highly recommend checking out either the 2nd Branch in Ilsan Western Dome or the 1st Branch at One Mount!

Best of all, Neko Gacha's prices are so reasonable that you can often get two gacha for the price of one elsewhere. That's what truly won me over!
