Craving fresh seafood in Da Nang? Phuoc Thai is a local favorite, offering delicious and affordable dishes that even the pickiest eaters will love. A must-visit!

It's me, Ahnnyeong Huiya, and somehow I've already visited
Da Nang twice, Phu Quoc twice, and Nha Trang three times!
Even so, Vietnam is the place I always want to return to!
That's because it's full of incredible eateries that perfectly suit Korean tastes
and won't break the bank.
The restaurant I'm introducing today is a seafood spot in Da Nang called Phuoc Thai,
famous as a local hotspot. I first visited back in 2019 before the pandemic,
and recently, I got to go again with my sibling!
I loved it so much that I recommended it to a friend,
who also loved it! And get this, even my friend's uncle, who is known to be picky,
was completely won over by the flavors.
But the ultimate seal of approval? My own mom loved it!!! Yep, THAT's the place!!!!
LOL
If it gets a thumbs-up from adults, isn't that the ultimate endorsement?
Haha!

If you visit during dinner time, you'll find the tables
packed with locals.
We opted for an off-peak hour,
which meant we could enjoy our meal leisurely.
Maybe it's because I was revisiting a favorite spot,
but it felt even more welcoming and special 😢.
Phuoc Thai, this fantastic Da Nang restaurant, serves up
incredibly fresh seafood, and
compared to Korea, it's also quite affordable,
making it perfect for eating until you're absolutely stuffed.

With both outdoor and indoor seating available,
you can pick whichever spot feels most comfortable :)

After ordering from the menu, you get to personally
select your seafood.
You can choose cooking methods like chili, garlic, or BBQ,
and remember that seafood prices are based on market rates,
so please keep that in mind!

This is a photo I took in 2019
of Phuoc Thai's seafood tanks.
I distinctly remember being surprised back then by how incredibly clean and well-maintained
they were.

Because it's still impeccably clean and well-run,
word has spread, and while it's a local favorite,
these days, quite a few Koreans are also seeking out
this fantastic local restaurant.

I visited with my sibling, who tends to eat very little,
so I told myself not to get too excited and just order a modest amount.
But, in the end, we still had leftovers... lol!

It might not be a local restaurant with air conditioning,
but they have plenty of fans and what I'd call air coolers...
There are also spots like these, so keep 'em in mind!

Look at those scallops, sizzling away deliciously! :)

For the shrimp, we went with chili and garlic,
ordering half and half.

And on top of that, morning glory and egg fried rice!
A perfectly complete Vietnamese feast...!
And with a Pepsi on the side,
it was a total of 396,000 VND (approx. ~$14)
Seriously, talk about amazing value for money, right?
Where else could you order all this amazing seafood
and enjoy it all for around ~$14? Seriously!
And *that's* why I love Vietnam!

My sister has also been to Vietnam countless times,
and she absolutely loves Phuoc Thai,
but coming together on a sisters' trip made it even better, haha!
We even snapped a quick 'proof shot' before digging in~
By the way, this dress is mine, bought for 90,000 VND at Han Market,
so why does it look even better on you? ^^

Even looking at it now, my mouth is watering all over again for
Phuoc Thai ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

The shrimp were incredibly plump and huge,
and it brought back memories of my very first trip to Da Nang.

Back in 2019, when I first visited Da Nang with my mom and my youngest sibling,
Phuoc Thai was the very first seafood restaurant we discovered.
Even then, we enjoyed scallops, shrimp, and egg fried rice.
Honestly, this sisters' trip to Da Nang with my sister
was kind of a 'revisit' of our previous adventures!
hahaha!

Even the perfectly fluffy egg fried rice made Da Nang's Phuoc Thai an absolute gem...!
Just as everyone I've introduced to this spot has loved it,
it was absolutely perfect for my taste buds on this revisit too, haha!

On our way out after a satisfying meal, we spotted
See you Again~
Hoping to be able to visit this Da Nang맛집 Phuoc Thai again soon,
this concludes my review of Phuoc Thai, the seafood restaurant that's become my repeated must-visit on my many trips to Vietnam!
