Can you believe there's a 5-star hotel like this in Phuket?

I recently visited a luxury resort in Phuket that felt just like a safari lodge!

From tent-style rooms nestled amidst lush green gardens,

to private pools and rocking beds.

Did you know there's such an amazing hotel in Phuket, Thailand? I just found out this time!

Imagine falling asleep to natural landscapes, swimming as the sun sets, and enjoying breakfast by a private beach.

This is Phuket's quiet luxury hotel.

(And the price was surprisingly reasonable too!)

In front of the tent-style rooms, you'll find private swimming pools,

a place where the sunset paints the large pool with its glorious glow.

During the day, you can enjoy the hotel's programs,

and if you wish, spend your evenings at the beach club.

There was never a dull moment, even when staying at the hotel all day,

my review of Twinpalms Tented Camp, our accommodation in Bang Tao, Phuket.

The hotel is located on Bang Tao Beach, slightly north of Phuket's Patong Beach.

V A 5-star hotel, established in 2023. The room conditions and all hotel facilities are absolutely excellent.

For the last two nights of our Phuket trip,

we stayed here at the Twinpalms Tented Camp Hotel in Phuket.

V We booked a 'Lagoon Pool Tent' type room with a private pool, and

it was truly heaven on earth.

For honeymooners, couples, families, and friends visiting Phuket,

I recommend it to everyone!

(Please note, however, that children under 16 years old cannot stay.)

It's not a chain hotel from a large corporation, but a hotel created by an independent luxury hospitality group established by Swedish entrepreneurs in Phuket.

If you're looking to experience quiet luxury in Phuket, I can't recommend it enough!

The price was surprisingly reasonable given its luxury.

Especially since we visited during the off-season, we got a really good deal.

Bang Tao Beach is right in front of the hotel, and there's also a convenient store just steps away.

It's a great location where Grab taxis are readily available.

And the amazing Phuket Twinpalms Tented Camp Hotel offers a fantastic array of programs, so you can

peacefully unwind, dive into diverse activities, swim to your heart's content, and savor delicious meals right within the hotel.

You can even indulge in the (free) sauna or join a pilates or yoga session! This made it an absolutely perfect choice for the final leg of my Phuket adventure.

The hotel's communal pool is simply breathtaking, and you can freely enjoy the latest trend in wellness: their fantastic sauna facilities.

Plus, they even have excellent Pilates & GYM facilities!

Even though it's nestled in nature, I truly appreciated their meticulous efforts to keep mosquitoes and other bugs at bay.

Honestly, I think it's a hotel you simply *must* experience for at least two nights on your next Phuket getaway!

1. The Enchanting Ambiance of the Tented Rooms

Discovering Safari-Lodge Inspired Rooms in Phuket

From the moment I first laid eyes on photos of the Twinpalms Tented Camp hotel in Phuket, I was utterly captivated – it was love at first sight!

But actually stepping foot there was even better – from the inviting check-in lobby to the enchanting pathways leading to the rooms, every detail was simply stunning.

The rooms themselves boasted a unique design I’d never encountered before, and every intricate detail was absolutely exquisite.

The rooms are genuinely structured like luxurious tents, yet they felt incredibly sturdy and secure.

The ambiance truly immerses you in nature,

yet inside the room, every piece of furniture and decor was meticulously chosen and arranged,

creating an atmosphere that was both comfortable and undeniably luxurious.

And oh, the handcrafted dragonfly leaf ornament alongside the welcome message? So beautiful and incredibly touching!

And just imagine, a private pool right outside your door!

At night, the outdoor lighting transforms the view into something absolutely magical,

making every stroll feel wonderfully enchanting!

With a lush garden, tranquil water features, and vibrant plants right outside, you might expect insects to be a concern within the tented rooms.

However, they've thought of everything: you can draw a beautiful mosquito net curtain around the bed,

and a thoughtful herbal insect repellent spray is also provided in the room – such a sweet touch!

Thanks to these details, I enjoyed two blissfully bug-free nights in Phuket – a true luxury!

The welcome chocolates were absolutely delicious, and they even provide a charming lantern in the room – how thoughtful!

Even the bathroom within the Twinpalms Tented Camp Phuket Hotel rooms continues the exquisite tented aesthetic,

but don't imagine a simple nomadic tent,

nor the bustling tent you might pitch for a mountain adventure.

It's simply pristine and utterly beautiful...

Step inside, and you'll discover a clever tent-style wardrobe, perfect for keeping your clothes fresh and dry,

You'll also find two elegant sinks, and at one, you can even switch on special vanity lighting for that perfect glow!

And a bit unusual, but there's a chair in front of the sink (not sure why it's there)

and a towel rack.

The wall is made of glass, but the outside is cleverly shielded by tall bamboo screens, preventing anyone from seeing in,

which means you can enjoy a shower with both a serene atmosphere and complete privacy.

The shower booth isn't fully enclosed, and the stone-paved floor below was particularly striking.

And right in front of the shower booth, there's a toilet.

Everything felt so elegant, sophisticated, with a gorgeous muted stone & wood aesthetic, I kept exclaiming, "It's insane!"

However, the only slight downside might be that if one person is using the toilet, it's a bit awkward to shower directly in front of them...?

Right next to the toilet, there's a lantern-style light.

The reason for this is perfect for when the main bathroom light might feel too bright at night.

Using this light combined with the moonlight from outside the window creates the perfect soft glow for a nighttime visit.

It was incredibly atmospheric.

That day, we had just returned from our Phi Phi Island tour in Phuket, drenched in seawater and absolutely exhausted.

But the warm water and fragrant amenities transformed the bathroom into a spa-like sanctuary,

I literally screamed, "Oh my gosh, this is amazing!"

Naturally, a Phuket hotel should be cool and refreshing.

And while Twinpalms Phuket is certainly cool,

it's not just about a basic air conditioner – there's also a stylish ceiling fan.

Inside the hotel room, to the right of the bed, there's an air purifier that also handles humidity control.

It's not just an air purifier pretending to be a humidifier,

it genuinely does an excellent job of regulating humidity.

For someone like me, who dislikes air conditioners because they dry out my skin, this was an absolute dream.

Even just having the ceiling fan on was enough to keep it cool, and being able to slightly increase the humidity made it feel wonderfully fresh and comfortable!

2. Twinpalms Tented Camp Phuket Hotel: A Private Pool Right in Front of Your Room

Since it was the low season in Phuket, there wasn't a huge price difference between a standard tent room and a room with a private pool.

I wasn't sure which room to choose, so I deliberated quite a bit.

In the end, I managed to book the 'Lagoon Pool Room' with a private pool for both of our last two nights in Phuket,

and let me tell you, it was absolutely, unbelievably satisfying!

Right in front of our room, in an open, garden-like space,

there was a private swimming pool, and directly in front of it, a bed where we could leisurely relax.

It was truly beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery and flowers,

and surprisingly, there weren't many bugs, which was a pleasant surprise!

And at night, the pool in front of the accommodation lit up.

It was absolutely, truly stunning.

With beach chairs right there, we could soak up Phuket's warmth during the day.

We could lie down in front of our room and read a book,

and if we got too hot, we could just hop into the pool and then back out (pure bliss!).

On our second night in Phuket, after our Phi Phi Island tour,

it started to drizzle a bit.

Listening to the gentle patter of rain from our private pool was incredibly soothing...

and the pool water was warm, which made me incredibly happy!

(Even though Phuket is warm, the rain falling late at night in October felt a bit chilly, so I used an umbrella to avoid shivering!)

This pool looks a bit bigger than the one in our hotel room that I've been showing you, doesn't it?

And yes, it actually is bigger than the pool in our Lagoon Pool Tent accommodation.

This private pool belongs to a more expensive room category, which is why it's larger.

I actually debated whether to book a more expensive room, thinking you'd need this size to truly swim,

but in conclusion, unless you're aiming for a room directly connected to Phuket's Bangtao Beach, our Lagoon Pool Tent room was actually a fantastic choice.

Because

the hotel's communal pool is as huge and fantastic as you can see below!

3. The Hotel's Communal Pool, Bathed in Phuket's Sunset Hues

I didn't know at first, but my friend discovered it...

The communal pool at Twinpalms Tented Camp Hotel Phuket.

It's truly much more spacious and incredibly clean than it looks in photos.

The water is quite deep, but not too deep, so it was perfect for swimming and just floating around.

And right next to the hotel pool, there's this:

A trendy wellness area...

with a sauna, ice bucket baths, and more.

There's also a Pilates & fitness gym with fantastic facilities.

While Phuket usually has many things that cost extra,

the outdoor pool, sauna, gym, and Pilates room at Twinpalms Tented Camp Hotel are all free to use,

which was incredibly heartwarming...........

(Refilling ice requires a 1-hour advance reservation and comes with an additional cost, though it was still quite affordable.)

And finally, the breathtaking sunset view from the Twinpalms Tented Camp Hotel pool in Phuket....

It felt like the sunset was just pouring into the hotel grounds – so incredibly romantic!

It was our last day in Phuket, and I was leaving without much sleep,

so I almost booked only one night at this hotel.

But after seeing this sunset, I exclaimed 5,000 times how glad I was that we stayed for two nights!

Every time we took photos and posted them on Instagram, our friends kept asking,

"Are you on your honeymoon?........... and it was totally understandable! (Even though we were just two female friends, and my friend had already been on her honeymoon...)

And here's the really amazing thing:

The pool water was slightly saline!

No wonder there weren't many bugs, the water felt so soft, and there was no chlorine smell.

It wasn't as salty as ocean water, but rather a mild, soft saltwater,

so when you swam, your body felt light, and it seemed better for your skin too – that was also a little touching!

Seriously, swim all day long!

Enjoy ocean swimming in Phuket, and then come here for hotel swimming too!

Normally, I don't usually say that hotel swimming is better than ocean swimming,

but this outdoor pool is absolutely insane! (P)
