Phuket is a paradise for travelers, boasting a fantastic array of resorts and hotels that offer excellent value. Among them, one stands out as a top recommendation: the Holiday Inn Resort Phuket, where I recently enjoyed a wonderful two-night stay.
It's perfectly situated, just a 5-minute stroll from the beach and conveniently close to the city center, making it easy to explore major shopping malls on foot without needing public transport. The breakfast spread was impressive, and the swimming pools were so inviting that we happily spent hours enjoying the resort amenities.

If you're a solo traveler looking for maximum value, the Holiday Inn Express is a great choice. However, for couples or families seeking a more comprehensive resort experience, the Holiday Inn Resort is definitely the way to go.

After often opting for budget-friendly stays, I was really looking forward to a larger resort experience, and the Holiday Inn did not disappoint. The lobby staff were incredibly friendly, and after a quick check-in process, we were swiftly escorted to our room.
Room Interior
I booked a Premium Room, which is a step up from the standard. Most rooms here accommodate two guests, while the Family Rooms can host up to four.
When booking, you can choose between the Main Wing and the Busakorn Wing. My stay was in the Busakorn Wing, which is relatively newer. It's slightly more expensive than the Main Wing, but the price difference isn't huge, making it well worth it for a more modern room. Plus, the Busakorn Wing supposedly offers exclusive pool access for its guests.
Everything from the bedding to the TV, table, and chairs was top-notch – truly hard to find any fault! I was traveling with a friend on this trip to Phuket.
The soundproofing was excellent, and the room was so spacious that sharing it with a friend felt completely comfortable, even for an extended stay.

Swimming Pools
The absolute highlight of Holiday Inn Resort Phuket is its swimming pools. They are incredibly well-designed and perfect for a day of fun in the water.
Even if you're not a strong swimmer, just dive in and enjoy! During my stay, one day was dedicated to a snorkeling tour, and another was spent simply relaxing and swimming at the resort. Although I had heard that the Busakorn Wing pool was exclusive, I found that all pools were accessible to everyone, without any special distinctions.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM. While you can purchase a room-only package and pay for breakfast on-site, it's usually more economical to book a package that includes breakfast upfront.
You can typically add breakfast for around ~$7 per person. The food selection is truly excellent. Unlike many hotels or resorts that offer limited meat options and focus primarily on bread and fruit for breakfast, the spread here was so extensive it could easily pass for dinner!
My plan was to head out for an early lunch if breakfast was sparse, but I ended up eating so much that I didn't need lunch at all.
