Phuket Nai Yang Beach Resort and Spa
Why did I choose this hotel?
We arrived in Phuket on an early morning flight for a 3-night, 4-day trip,
and island tours in Phuket often take up an entire day,
so we were short on time.
So, on our first day of arrival, for an afternoon excursion, we booked a Phuket Phang Nga Bay (James Bond Island) tour.
Even though it was an afternoon tour, we still needed to be picked up from the hotel around 12-1 PM.
!!!!....
That's why we chose a hotel right next to Phuket Airport for our first night's stay.
As soon as we arrived in Phuket, we wanted to head straight to the hotel next to the airport,
pre-check in, drop off our luggage, and then immediately go on the Phang Nga Bay tour.
So, we booked the Nai Yang Beach Resort & Spa, which is just an 8-minute drive from the airport.
It's genuinely an 8-minute drive from the airport, and
the facilities are decent, the rooms are spacious, and most importantly, the price was excellent.
✔️For those heading straight to a tour upon arrival in Phuket
✔️For early morning departures
✔️For travelers looking for a quick rest near Phuket Airport
—it seems like a popular choice among travelers.
During Phuket's peak season, traffic jams and finding a taxi can be a real challenge...
a huge hassle, you know?
Staying near the airport means you don't have to worry about your departure,
so the advantages are immense!

Getting from Phuket Airport to the Hotel
Since it was the low season, we quickly found a taxi right outside Phuket Airport,
jumped in, and it was an 8-minute ride (Around ~$12-~$15 based on Grab rates).
We traveled by taxi for that distance.
However, because we had a 'semi-Thai' friend with us,
we used an app called InDrive, typically for locals, and got a taxi for less than ~$7.
It's a 4-star hotel, and a suite in the low season costs less than ~$75.
While it's a perfectly decent hotel in every way,
given its exceptional value for money,
you shouldn't expect extravagant services.
(Also, most Phuket hotels don't offer complimentary airport pick-up/drop-off...)
At first, the driver dropped us off at the wrong place,
it was a strange spot... *Gasp*... I was so disappointed, thinking, 'Why is this so bad?'
But it turned out the driver just made a mistake, so we moved to the correct location.
And finally, we arrived at Phuket Nai Yang Beach Resort & Spa!
Voila!
Yes, this is Phuket Nai Yang Beach Resort & Spa, folks!

A super muscular hotel staff member even carried our luggage all the way to our room!
After a quick and smooth check-in, we originally planned to just drop off our bags and head straight to the Phang Nga Bay tour,
but they kindly offered early check-in, so we could unpack and calmly get ready before leaving.
The hotel's pathways were lush and green, giving off a wonderful tropical vibe!
However, using a physical key to enter the room was a bit inconvenient.

Room Condition
We were in Room 302,
which was super convenient for getting to and from the front desk.
As a suite, it even had a reception area.

The reception area and bedroom had separate air conditioning units,
which was perfect for hanging swimsuits to dry in the reception area with the AC on.

The suite at Phuket Nai Yang Beach Resort & Spa was genuinely quite spacious,
and it felt wonderfully roomy.
The space between the beds was also wide,

It was just the right room size for us, who tend to spread all our luggage everywhere, you know?

The bathroom had separate shower and toilet stalls,

and the sink was conveniently located completely outside the main bathroom area,
which was very practical.

If you're looking for a green view, the room's interior is quite lovely!
It might feel a little bit dated,
but the hotel has been renovated,
and it feels very well-maintained and clean.
So, if you're not expecting a super luxurious 'hocance' (hotel vacation), I thought it was just the perfect spot.
After all, in Phuket, unless it's an incredibly high-end hotel, most places are pretty similar anyway...
For your Phuket trip,
mixing a good value-for-money option like Nai Yang Beach Resort & Spa with a truly luxurious hotel
is not a bad choice, I think!

There were hardly any bugs,
the refrigerator was clean,
and everything was neatly organized.

The hotel also had plenty of outlets for charging cables,
And check this out, a wooden wardrobe right next to the bed where you can store your clothes –
it's really pretty!

The lush green tree view outside the window was especially beautiful,
the air conditioning worked perfectly,
and even when we turned off the AC, it wasn't oppressively hot, which was a bonus.
And surprisingly,
when taking portrait photos inside the hotel, perhaps because of all the greenery?
the pictures turned out really well!

Surrounding Amenities and Atmosphere
Right outside the hotel entrance, literally a minute's walk,
there's a convenience store. And if you go to the right, there's even another Seven-Eleven convenience store.
There are plenty of eateries, shops, and pharmacies nearby,
and it's a lively neighborhood with lots of people and tourists,
so it was incredibly convenient and wonderful.

Also, there's a security guard at the hotel entrance.
And when you go on a tour, after telling the hotel front desk your name and room number,
you can borrow beach towels, which was super convenient!
When you're off on your Phuket tours,
instead of carrying heavy beach towels after using them, you can just return them to the hotel – seriously,
it's incredibly, incredibly convenient!
Phuket Nai Yang Beach Resort and Hotel
It's right next to Phuket Nai Yang Beach, which is by Phuket Airport, and you can walk there.
Of course, we didn't have time to go.
The hotel also has a swimming pool and a kids' pool,
so it's perfect for families traveling to Phuket.
Breakfast was optional,
and we didn't think it would be particularly tasty,
plus there were so many convenience stores and restaurants right next door, so we skipped it.
Anyway, for our first day in Phuket,
we opted for the excellent value Nai Yang Beach Resort & Spa near the airport,
and then for our second day in Phuket, we stayed at the Twinpalms Tented Camp Hotel here.
It truly felt like a blissful escape, and we absolutely loved it! ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
